CHAPTER 202: CHAPTER 202: IVY SUMMERS, MARRY ME!

Ivy Summers glared at him angrily, until Tristan Sterling stepped forward to block Damien Lancaster for Ivy Summers.

"Damien Lancaster, those who want to leave, even if it’s you, Damien Lancaster, are destined to be unstoppable."

"In my eyes, Damien Lancaster, there’s no such thing as destiny!"

If there is.

Then there’s only one possibility.

It’s destined to be his.

Damien Lancaster looked up and watched Ivy Summers’s retreating figure, feeling a gentle tug on his heart. He frowned, suppressing his anger, "Move aside!"

Tristan Sterling watched him silently, contemplated for a moment, observed Ivy Summers already leaving the banquet hall, then chuckled lightly and stepped aside to clear the way.

Damien Lancaster strode out without the slightest hesitation.

Tristan Sterling raised his eyebrows.

Damien Lancaster is overwhelmingly proud, but when it comes to matters involving Ivy Summers, he kneels faster than anyone else.

Because he cares!

"What is Ivy up to?" Old Master Sterling asked puzzled.

"She’s going... to bring you back a grandson-in-law!" Tristan Sterling smiled.

Up ahead, Gregory Lancaster noticed something and quickly turned to Seraphina Kennedy, "Quick, where are Annie, Cherie, and Sophie?"

"With Ivy Summers, what’s going on?"

"Quick, go bring them back."

Gregory Lancaster hurriedly sent someone.

"What’s happening? Why such urgency?"

"Don’t ask!" Gregory Lancaster was in a frenzy, afraid the kids would be taken away if he delayed.

Meanwhile, a woman staying upstairs, who watched the entire drama unfold, was excited, "Mom, let’s go out and take a look too."

Another woman suddenly grabbed her, looking slightly odd, "It’s late today, and we’ll be returning to Sutherlyn tomorrow, let’s head back to the hotel first."

But the woman was not ready to leave, and had no plans of doing so, "Mom, it’s rare to come across something so intriguing, what’s the point of going back to the hotel so early? I want to go out and have a look."

Having said that, she gracefully picked up her skirt and went downstairs.

The woman squinted her eyes, looking downstairs, her tightly furrowed brow carrying a trace of panic.

Downstairs, Ivy Summers saw a crowd gathered in the large open space ahead.

A premonition in her heart grew stronger, until all the surrounding people opened a path for her, allowing Ivy Summers to clearly see that tall figure standing in front.

The flickering lights around made that figure even more dazzling.

Ivy Summers’s eyes widened at the scene.

"Noah Scott?"

Someone nudged her forward, surrounded by countless voices.

"She must be the one being proposed to tonight, so lucky."

"I’m so envious. If I had such a handsome suitor who meticulously prepared a proposal for me, I would certainly die from happiness."

"Me too, me too."

Meanwhile, most of the people in the banquet hall also followed them outside.

Suddenly, the surroundings were filled with people, including by the windows upstairs, where journalists had cameras, wildly filming.

Ivy Summers was pushed to stand before Noah Scott.

The man was tall, making Ivy Summers appear small in front of him, yet it was the perfect height difference.

Numerous lights fell upon the two of them, creating a small world.

Before coming downstairs, Ivy Summers had sensed it, but upon seeing the scene, she was still caught off guard.

Everything tonight was beyond Ivy Summers’s expectations.

"Noah Scott, are you going to...?"

"Propose."

The man had transformed from his usual casual appearance, donning a formal suit, holding fresh red roses, his eyes filled with affection as he gazed at her. Then, he slowly extended his hand, holding her fair hand, and gently knelt on one knee.

Ivy Summers’s heart skipped a beat, wanting to pull him up, but it was too late.

"Noah Scott!"

"Ivy Summers, marry me."

Ivy Summers’s pupils shook slightly, looking at the man kneeling down with unexpected eyes.

Subconsciously stepped back a bit, but her hand was firmly held by the man, not allowing her to retreat at all.

"Ivy Summers, don’t hide.

Give me a chance.

Every word I said to you last time was sincere, the previous mention of helping you five times, asking you for one request, was all premeditated.

I want to marry you, marry me, come back to Yrador with me. You should start a new Chapter in your life. I’m willing to accept your past, take responsibility for your future. With me, you’ll never have to endure any harm again. I will love you unconditionally, more than my own life.

Ivy Summers, give me one chance, won’t you?

Marry me, please?"

Ivy Summers’s heart was lightly touched; Noah Scott’s every word was sincere, sincere enough that if she were normal, she’d be moved.

But this was too sudden.

This is marriage, Ivy Summers bent down, lowered her voice, "Could you please stand up first?"

Ivy Summers held Noah Scott’s arm, attempting to pull him up while the spectators behind were cheering generously.

"Marry him! Marry him! Marry him!"

Ivy Summers was anxious.

She had no idea tonight would have this scene, and even less idea of how to respond.

"She won’t marry you!" Just then, a sinister voice sounded.

Everyone turned to look; Damien Lancaster stood at the back, his gaze cold, his face seemingly frostbitten, making the surrounding air several degrees colder.

With an overwhelming coldness, he strode over, pulling Ivy Summers’s arm and yanking her behind him, his eyes filled with ice staring at Noah Scott, "She won’t marry you!"

Ivy Summers’s heart was gently tugged.

Noah Scott stood up, smirking as he stared back at Damien Lancaster, "Can you decide for her?"

"I can’t! But I know she won’t marry you." Damien Lancaster narrowed his eyes, each word he spoke with absolute certainty.

Ivy Summers looked at the back in front, listening to the man’s words filled with coldness.

It reminded her of how he didn’t love her in the past.

And the countless phone calls during those seven days, the eyes longing at the door then disappointedly turning away, the slap of fireworks exploding in her face at that moment.

"Unless you remarry, and if that day comes, you choose someone else and marry them, perhaps I will choose to let go." The words echoed in Ivy Summers’s ear.

Damien Lancaster had said it himself.

Damien Lancaster, you must know, not everyone will wait for you to turn back.

And I certainly won’t.

Your love came too late.

I don’t want it anymore.

"Who says I won’t agree?"

Ivy Summers spoke, causing both men to simultaneously turn back to look at her.

Ivy Summers saw the shock in Damien Lancaster’s eyes and chose to ignore it.

"I agree to you."
