CHAPTER 43: CHAPTER 43: DID IVY SUMMERS HAVE THREE CHILDREN BACK THEN?

Rachel Shaw’s words made Ivy Summers want to laugh.

"Miss Shaw, I am the auctioneer."

The auctioneer holds absolute authority at the auction, even if Ivy Summers declared that the diamond necklace Damien Lancaster just bid on is null, it would be null.

Let alone Rachel Shaw adding drama unnecessarily with no rules, she naturally wouldn’t accept it.

Rachel Shaw was somewhat annoyed.

Originally, she thought Zinnia was easy to handle, just a small auctioneer, not even worth her attention, yet she dared to publicly go against them.

"Zinnia! Calling you a great auctioneer is giving you face, aren’t you afraid of offending us and not being able to continue?"

"I haven’t violated my professional ethics as an auctioneer, allowing every guest to fairly bid on the items they desire. I believe every guest comes to the auction for the items, not for the auctioneer."

"What do you mean?"

"Miss Shaw needs to work on her Chinese."

Ivy Summers meant that guests care about the items, not the person. No guest would refuse to bid on an item they like simply because they dislike the auctioneer.

Moreover, Ivy respects the rules, fair and just, and hasn’t made mistakes in the auction process, so why would she not be able to continue just because of this?

More importantly, behind her is the entire auction house, and she is the chief auctioneer with a certain status. Who would really offend the auction house over this?

Ivy Summers coldly laughed in her heart.

Rachel really thought she was an easily manipulated little rabbit, auctioned at will, face uncovered at demand.

Ivy Summers simply refused!

"You!" Rachel was furious.

Damien Lancaster chuckled lightly, applauding gently, ignoring the surprise of others.

Rachel looked at Damien confused, "Damien, you?"

Damien raised an eyebrow, looking indifferently at Rachel.

"She’s not wrong."

Ivy Summers changed a lot in these five years.

Damien knew she was feisty before, and her temper had only grown.

It was apparent Damien was siding with the person on stage, and seeing his stance, the people in the auction hall quickly echoed him, "Yeah, it’s just a joke, Miss Shaw, don’t take it seriously."

"Miss Zinnia, sorry to offend, don’t be upset."

Ivy Summers nodded slightly.

These people were wise, only the foolish Rachel believed she’d really offend people to the extent of being unable to continue.

Rachel gritted her back teeth, looking displeased.

Ivy Summers calmly continued, "Tonight had quite a few episodes, but fortunately all items were successfully auctioned. Now it’s the delivery stage, once again congratulations to all guests for their acquisitions."

With that, Ivy Summers left the auctioneer’s seat.

Nina Summers was still standing there, almost grinding her teeth to bits.

Ivy paused beside her, slightly tilted her head, raised an eyebrow, "If you’re useless, learn more."

...

Meanwhile in Yrador.

"Holy shit, boss, Ivy is simply awesome."

The handsome, devilish man in front of the computer lit a cigarette, inhaling slowly, his gaze on the woman’s figure, his thin lips curling into a satisfied smile, "How could my woman not be awesome?"

"I told you, boss, there’s no need to worry about Ivy. Could our Ivy be someone who can be bullied?"

The man turned around, looking at his subordinates gathered around, his voice chilly, "Did I say I was worried about her? Which of your eyes saw me worried?"

The subordinates bowed their heads, thinking silently: Yes, yes, not worried, not worried, just almost gluing your eyeballs to the screen.

Ivy Summers went to the lounge to rest, with special personnel in charge of the delivery segment.

"Miss Zinnia, you were amazing." Joy Quinn immediately handed Ivy a water bottle, gazing at her like an adoring fan.

Joy had been on the verge of panic on stage.

Regardless of whether a ugly face was under the veil, the scene was tough to handle, but she resolved it perfectly.

And with the matter of the gourd porcelain vase, while no one else could see, she could determine with just a glance, her ability far beyond a mere auctioneer.

"Thanks." Ivy Summers nodded calmly, "Keep an eye on the upcoming segments."

"Understood."

After Joy left, Ivy removed her veil, planning to change clothes inside, but the door suddenly opened.

Ivy paused her changing, listening for the voice outside, "Joy, is that you?"

No response... Ivy quickly finished dressing when her phone rang — it was a call from the three little ones.

As she was about to answer, the next second, someone pushed the door open and entered.

A man grasped her wrist, and his tall, commanding form enveloped her.

Ivy was so frightened she almost screamed, but then she recognized the man in front of her!

It’s Damien Lancaster!

Ivy frowned deeply, he leaned in, pinning her back against the cold wall, immobilizing her instantly.

"Damien Lancaster!"

Damien looked down at this woman, recently bold and confident on the auction stage, lifting her chin with his hand, "How did I not notice how beautiful you were before?"

Ivy Summers sneered, "Because you were blind before."

With a light smile, Ivy seemed almost enchanting, and Damien raised an eyebrow, "Seems it’s not too late now either."

"No, it is too late." Ivy firmly pushed him away, "No matter how pretty, it’s not yours."

As Ivy moved to leave, the phone call came in again. Damien gripped her wrist, his gaze falling on her phone, "Who’s calling you, eager to make you leave?"

The screen displayed: Big Baby.

Ivy’s expression flustered as she tried hard to pull her hand back, "Let go of me."

Damien didn’t release her, the caller hung up, and the call log screen popped up. Damien furrowed his brows, reading out the names in a low voice, "Big Baby, Second Baby, Third Baby?"

Damien’s eyes narrowed, "Ivy Summers, do you have three children?"

Ivy’s face turned white abruptly, she forced her fear down, snatching her phone back from Damien, "Yes, I have three children, and in the future I plan to have eight more, to form a soccer team, sound good?"

Damien frowned, grabbing her throat, "Be honest."

"I am being honest, I like having kids for fun, my life goal is to fill a whole soccer team. Let me go, I need to go make more kids."

Damien’s grip wasn’t tight, Ivy pushed him away, turning to leave.

Damien compressed his lips, unsure if she was just a good actress.

When he’d posed that question, did her face not show the slightest hint of panic?

Just as Ivy stepped out, Sophie came running toward her.

They came to pick up Ivy, and the next moment Sophie spotted Damien here.

Ivy’s spine chilled sharply, looking up she spotted Ella Morgan walking with Nathan and Leo behind her.

Fortunately, Ella and Nathan and Leo reacted quickly, ducking around the corner.

Damien’s focus was entirely on Sophie, not noticing those behind.

Ivy’s heart almost leapt from her chest with fright.

Damien looked down at Sophie, asking, "What are you doing here?" His gaze shifted to Ivy, "Came looking for her?"
