Unexpected Love: The Chief Auctioneer's Decision
Chapter 68: The Shaw Family Gets Disciplined
CHAPTER 68: CHAPTER 68: THE SHAW FAMILY GETS DISCIPLINED
"Ah!"
A few panicked screams echoed.
The members of the Shaw Family stood up in unison and retreated backward.
A black SUV came to a steady stop in the center of the Shaw Family’s hall.
In an exceptionally arrogant and audacious manner.
"Who are you?" Phillip Shaw, who was nearly hit, barely managed to stabilize himself, shouting angrily.
In the next second, a large crowd poured in from the doorway, like a dark tide.
These people were armed and exuded a menacing aura.
The Shaw Family members felt a chill run down their spines; with such an imposing presence, the visitors were undoubtedly not ordinary people. More than that, they looked like they were here for vengeance.
But they hadn’t offended anyone. Why were they being sought out for revenge?
Still in shock, Rachel Shaw widened her eyes. Although she couldn’t see the people inside the car, she felt an intense coldness, seeping into her bones, as if it wanted to freeze her blood entirely.
Yanis Stone raised an eyebrow and smirked, "We’re here to take your miserable lives."
At that moment, the car door opened, and a man stepped out, dressed entirely in black. His black shirt had two buttons leisurely undone. Standing by the car, the man lazily twisted his neck.
If they didn’t like peaceful solutions, then they’d resort to violent ones.
He always preferred solving matters with violence—simple, swift, and direct.
He hadn’t acted before only because Ivy Summers had advised him to respect the laws and regulations here.
But he had respected them, only to be repeatedly bullied right at his doorstep.
If they liked to bully, then he’d bully them as well.
Noah Scott gently waved his hand.
Yanis Stone quickly led his men to surround them.
Phillip Shaw, despite his high-standing position for many years, had never been bullied right at his doorstep like this before. His anger caused the muscles on his cheeks to twitch, "Who exactly are you people? Do you know this is trespassing? It’s against the law!"
"Trespassing? Against the law?" The man’s gaze turned cold upon hearing this.
So they knew that trespassing was against the law?
Then what had they just done at Ivy Summers’ place?
Illegal, deserving of death.
Knowing the law and still breaking it deserves even more death.
The murderous intent in the man’s eyes intensified, and the violent urge within him was nearing domination over his rationality.
He truly wanted to kill every last one of them.
At the sight of Noah Scott, Rachel Shaw couldn’t help but tremble uncontrollably. She raised her hand, pointing at Noah, her lips trembling as she stammered, "It’s him, it’s him, it’s him... Mom, Dad, it’s him..."
Despite her repetition, she didn’t finish by explaining who exactly "he" was.
Penelope Page quickly asked, "He... who is he?"
Rachel Shaw just kept her eyes wide open, as if a large hand was clutching her throat, leaving her unable to speak, and her gaze as if she had seen a devil.
The man gently waved his hand.
In the next second.
"What... what do you want to do?"
"Don’t come over, stay away! Call the police! Call the police! Hurry!"
"Ah! Ah!"
"Help!"
The man sat lazily in a single-seat sofa, like an emperor, his eyes sweeping the people before him indifferently, with a hint of mockery and excitement.
"Boss, how should we deal with them?"
Noah Scott raised an eyebrow, casually saying, "How do we handle such things back where we’re from, tell them."
Yanis Stone smirked, "Throw them to the back mountain to feed the wolves."
"No way, too gruesome, I want Ivy to see, it will scare her."
"Then throw them into the sea?"
"With no remains, how will Ivy see?"
Yanis scratched his head, "Then bury them alive?"
The man’s eyes lit up.
The three people who were tied up immediately widened their eyes and began squirming on the ground like insects, their mouths sealed, emitting muffled sounds, as if pleading for mercy.
The man lit a cigarette, took a slow drag, and sneered, "You’re planning to let Ivy dig up the pit to see?"
Yanis, "..."
"Hang them up, find those who caused trouble tonight, and hang them up as well."
"Yes sir."
Rachel Shaw’s eyes were filled with tears. Having witnessed this man’s brutality before, she was even more terrified.
...
Ivy Summers was still at home packing her belongings, fearing there might be trouble at Sophie’s place too, she even called Ella Morgan to inquire.
After finding out everything was fine, Ivy Summers finally felt at ease.
Looking at the chaos of her own home, she realized it was unlivable unless cleaned up properly.
Ivy Summers sighed, packing up a few things, and taking Nathan and Leo to stay at a hotel.
The hotel had security, safer than home.
Ivy Summers had just finished checking into the hotel when she received a call from Noah Scott.
"Darling, I sent you a picture, take a look."
"What picture?"
"You’ll know when you see it."
Ivy Summers suspiciously opened her phone, opened the message, and when she saw the picture Noah Scott sent her, she zoomed in and out, looking at it a couple more times.
Then she put the phone back to her ear.
"Darling, surprise, do you like it?"
Ivy Summers raised an eyebrow and asked, "Did you bring enough people?"
"Hm?"
From the picture, it seemed Noah had done something significant.
Ivy Summers figured Damien Lancaster would arrive soon.
Damien Lancaster loved Rachel Shaw dearly.
What Noah Scott did likely crossed the line for him.
Damien Lancaster certainly wouldn’t let Noah Scott off easily.
Ivy Summers feared there might be a confrontation.
"Rachel Shaw is Damien Lancaster’s beloved, and the Shaw Family has a good relationship with the Lancaster Family. By treating them this way, once Damien Lancaster finds out, he definitely won’t let it go."
Ivy Summers had witnessed Damien Lancaster’s rage before.
Very few could withstand it.
Ivy Summers was worried about Noah Scott’s safety.
"Are you worried about me?" The man’s nonchalant voice carried a hint of joy.
"You’re my benefactor, my amulet; of course, I’m worried." She chuckled softly twice, "Are you coming?"
Ivy Summers glanced at Nathan and Leo.
She wasn’t comfortable leaving Nathan and Leo alone at the hotel.
So... Ivy Summers took Nathan and Leo with her.
They left the hotel, got into a car, and headed to the Shaw Family.
"Mommy, where are we going?"
Ivy Summers’ eyes were icy, "Revenge."
Damien Lancaster arrived even quicker than Ivy Summers.
The car stopped, and the man stepped out.
The man must have come straight from work, dressed in a crisp black suit, surrounded by a chilling aura, his deep eyes devoid of any warmth.
He lifted his gaze slightly, and upon seeing the scene before the Shaw Family’s home, even though he usually remained calm and composed, showing no signs of emotion, his brows furrowed slightly at this moment.
