CHAPTER 128: CHAPTER 128: CAMILLE WHITE

A few days later, when Seraphina Sinclair saw Camille White sitting on the sofa with Jude Sinclair, she was extremely surprised.

"Godmother, long time no see." Camille looked at Seraphina, who was full of surprise, and offered a gentle smile.

Camille was the eldest of the three brothers from the White Family. He was always gentle and poised, handling things with grace and tact. He was the one who was the least worry-inducing.

"Long time no see. Why did you suddenly come? Did something happen?" Seraphina frowned slightly—Camille would not leave the island without a reason.

"A few days ago, Jude called me to come over. He said your condition has been bad recently, showing signs of bipolar disorder relapse, and you’ve started taking medication again." Camille patted Jude’s head as he spoke.

Seraphina shifted her gaze to Jude, looking at him with a hint of a pleading expression. Although she wanted to be angry, she couldn’t bring herself to; she could only sigh.

"Jude, when did you find out?" Seraphina asked.

"It was the day you were lying in bed, Mommy. I called you to get up, and then I saw it on the dressing table," Jude said softly.

Since things had come to this, Seraphina couldn’t say much more and had to cooperate with Camille’s treatment.

On the day he received Jude’s phone call, Camille had already arranged a place to stay, which wasn’t far from where Seraphina currently lived.

She went with Camille, and at night she received hypnotherapy from him. In the following days, she was forced to undergo treatment, but after a few days, the results were not satisfactory.

After another treatment session, Camille kept Seraphina behind and poured her a cup of warm milk.

"Godmother, what on earth has been happening with you lately? You’re too burdened with worries." Camille spoke with concern, seeing the noticeably haggard face of Seraphina.

Seraphina shook her head slightly. She understood Camille’s personality; although he seemed gentle, he was actually very cunning and had many schemes.

If she told him everything, she feared there would be no peace.

"Just a little tired," Seraphina replied vaguely.

"Godmother, considering your current mental state, I think you should come back to the island with me for treatment for a while," Camille said, observing Seraphina closely, not missing any subtle expressions.

Before Seraphina returned, he had already heard from Jude about her situation during this time. And after spending a few days with her and observing, he was sure Seraphina was hiding something from them.

"Don’t worry, I’m conscious of what’s going on. Godmother isn’t a child anymore; I won’t neglect my own health," Seraphina said, feeling warmed by the genuine concern in Camille’s eyes, finally showing a sincere smile for the first time in days.

She knew the greatest taboo for her was her mental condition and emotional fluctuations lately.

It could easily lead to a bipolar disorder relapse, yet there were things she couldn’t help but think about or care for.

Camille was about to say more, but Seraphina interrupted him: "Besides, I haven’t yet seen the downfall of the Lloyd Family, haven’t avenged my father, avenged the past me. Returning to the island now would be too soon."

While saying this, Seraphina’s expression was unwavering, and Camille knew he couldn’t persuade her, so he gave up.

Camille changed the topic, asking about other matters, but could not glean any information from Seraphina, and eventually, he had to take her home.

Even though he didn’t find out much, Camille was determined to uncover what Seraphina was hiding from them.

He recalled Austin White, who had previously arrived in Bayside City, and after returning home, he took out his phone to call him.

Half an hour later, the doorbell rang.

"Why did you also come to Bayside City? It’s rare to see you leave the island," Austin said incredulously to Camille, who was dressed in a cream casual outfit.

"Where do you get so much unnecessary talk? Let me ask you, do you know what’s been happening with godmother recently?" Camille asked as he looked at Austin’s strange outfit with disapproval and turned away.

Austin walked unceremoniously to the center of the living room and casually sat on the sofa, looking at Camille with some confusion, "Nothing, right? Jude’s father has been taking good care of her."

"Jude’s biological father? Are you sure? I’ve been with godmother lately, and I’ve never seen him," Camille looked at Austin skeptically.

"Impossible, he lives at godmother’s place. It’s hard to miss him," Austin remembered all the times he’d witnessed their affection and rolled his eyes dismissively.

Camille seriously thought back and then recalled many clues he hadn’t noticed before—the oversized slippers at the entrance, the ashtray on the coffee table, and a room door that was always closed.

Camille lightly tapped the table, contemplating Seraphina’s situation, with a rare icy glint in his eyes and a cold tone: "Austin, tell me everything you know about Jude’s biological father."

PM, Bayside City Airport.

"Anna, over here!" A woman in a white short skirt spotted someone in the crowd, excitedly waving her phone and shouting.

At her voice, a woman in a red bodycon skirt walked over, her large sunglasses covering half her face, high heels clicking as she exuded a dignified aura.

"Welcome back," the woman in the white skirt said with a smile.

"Thank you for picking me up; I really appreciate it," the woman in the red skirt said, removing her sunglasses to reveal a faint smile.

The woman’s features were delicate, and her fitted clothes perfectly showcased her curves, drawing gazes from many around.
