Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 164: Hot Spring Resort Villa
CHAPTER 164: CHAPTER 164: HOT SPRING RESORT VILLA
"President Fairchild? Are you telling me to free up a few days so you can bring me here to discuss cooperation?" Seraphina Sinclair looked at Desmond Fairchild with a forced smile, a hint of danger in her tone.
Does this damn man know what he’s doing? Her eagerly anticipated world for two turned out to be a trick to lure her to this remote wilderness to talk business?
"This is the Kreshan area, with pleasant scenery, warm winters, and cool summers, making it perfect for development into a resort. I’d like to have your Kevin take on this development task." Desmond Fairchild continued speaking at his own pace.
Seraphina felt she must be crazy to stand here listening to him talk on and on.
However, talking about work—she is a workaholic herself. In fact, she is somewhat tempted by what Desmond Fairchild is saying.
As Desmond Fairchild said, despite it being December weather, she stood here in a thin autumn shirt, feeling not the least bit cold. A warm breeze from somewhere made her feel cozy.
She sighed lightly, speaking reluctantly, "We’ve seen it, now can we find a place to sit and talk about work?"
Can’t just stand around chatting all the time, right?
"Close your eyes," Desmond Fairchild whispered in her ear.
Seraphina found it odd and was about to retort, but Desmond Fairchild had already covered her eyes with his large hand, quietly signaling her to walk forward.
Unable to see anything, she could only cautiously move forward under his guidance.
She didn’t know what trick Desmond Fairchild was up to now. Having no expectations for him, he had brought her to a development area during their date, something most men wouldn’t do.
She sighed inwardly, hoping Desmond Fairchild would do something to make her happy, and not bring her to another development area soon; her heart couldn’t handle the excitement.
In fact, her suspicion was completely correct.
Desmond Fairchild indeed brought her to another development area.
The only difference was, the previous mountain range was undeveloped, and this one was already fully developed.
Gazing at the wonderland-like pavilions and towers, Seraphina Sinclair momentarily lost her focus.
The buildings before her were different from the skyscrapers in the city. They were clearly Chinese-style pavilions, surrounded by water, built on the large Celestial Lake. The water emitted a faint mist due to winter, looking as if they were amidst The Empyrean Pool.
The lakeside was shaded by green trees and clusters of flowers. The blooming red plum trees were particularly striking, with flower petals sprinkled across the verdant grass, presenting a breathtaking view.
Seraphina Sinclair was so stunned by the beauty in front of her that she couldn’t find the right words to describe its loveliness, leaving her staring dumbly, unable to speak.
Women, by nature, love beauty and naturally enjoy pretty things.
So Desmond Fairchild rightly caught on to this.
She didn’t know how much time had passed when Seraphina Sinclair finally spoke in surprise, "Where is this?"
"This is the hot spring resort area that has already been developed, but it hasn’t been opened to the public yet. It should be ready for business in two months." Seeing her seemingly happy expression, Desmond Fairchild relaxed a bit.
Earlier, seeing her full of impatience, he thought Seraphina was about to board the next flight back.
Now, seeing her satisfied look, he felt relieved.
Seraphina teasingly hammered his chest, her beautiful eyes showing some joy: "So, we can soak in the hot springs here? Are we the first guests here then?"
She truly can’t remember how long it’s been since she last truly relaxed, nor had she thought about soaking in a hot spring.
Desmond Fairchild raised an eyebrow, indifferent.
"What are we waiting for then?" Seraphina had been eager for some time.
Faced with such a beautiful scene, she only wanted to relax.
With that, Seraphina hurried toward the pavilion, while Desmond Fairchild followed behind in resignation, dotingly saying, "Take it easy, the hot spring’s not going anywhere."
From a distance, the pavilion seemed only about a hundred square meters in size. But as she approached, Seraphina was truly astonished. The area was at least ten thousand square meters. Where did they find such a large lake?
Only finally did Seraphina realize it wasn’t a natural lake. It was originally a small lake which Desmond Fairchild had spent considerable manpower, resources, and money to develop into its current grand state.
In the cold of winter, taking a bath here is practically a heavenly experience.
Seraphina sat on a smooth rock, with dreamy eyes looking at the man opposite her.
"Why are you here too?" She cleared her throat, her slightly flushed face unsure if it was because of shyness or the warmth.
Desmond Fairchild, wearing nothing but swim trunks in the hot spring, exposed his chest and above. His skin wasn’t exceptionally fair, but a healthy pink hue, and his muscular chest, draped with water beads, looked tempting.
Seraphina rubbed her itchy nose tip, turning her head away, no longer looking at him.
He’s simply a human enchantress, clearly a man, yet so alluring.
Even through the faint warmth, she barely made out his expression, but she sensed he surely had an evil intent now.
In truth, though?
Desmond Fairchild hadn’t been living easily these days, even busier than Seraphina. Sitting in the hot spring, he was lightly snoozing with closed eyes.
Only upon hearing Seraphina’s voice did he slowly open his eyes.
In a raspy voice, he answered, "Why wouldn’t I be here?"
"You’re a man," Seraphina’s expression was a bit unnatural, after all, they were both soaking in the same hot spring, akin to taking a couple’s bath together.
Even though both were wearing swimsuits, the thought of them in this situation still made her blush.
Despite being a mother, Seraphina remained very reserved in such matters, although sometimes making bold moves, she was actually quite shy inside.
Desmond Fairchild didn’t know what she was thinking, merely answering truthfully, "This is the couple’s room, providing a private hot spring."
He wasn’t one to talk much. One sentence sufficed to explain why he was there.
Seraphina pouted, "There are so many hot springs, why insist on staying with me?"
"What’s wrong with being with my wife?" Desmond Fairchild answered righteously.
"Who’s your wife?" Seraphina bit her lip, her face growing redder.
Seeing her continuously fidgeting, Desmond Fairchild moved his long legs and within seconds was in front of her. Noticing her about-to-bleed-red cheeks, his expression turned slightly concerned.
"What’s up? Why is your face so red? Are you having a fever?" Saying so, he placed his warm hand on her wet forehead, his eyes filled with worry.
