CHAPTER 47: CHAPTER 47: INTERROGATION

Despite having a bit of a good impression of Desmond Fairchild before, if she discovered that he was still deceiving her, she would need to reconsider whether to accept this man or not.

"Of course, it’s for business reasons. Many people are trying to seize the Kevin Group case. Our company values this cooperation greatly. I heard that the Lloyd Group arranged a meeting with Kevin’s representative, so I’ve been sent to try to secure the case."

Desmond Fairchild explained seriously as he handed over a copy of the documents in his hand to Seraphina Sinclair.

"If you don’t believe me, take a look; I even brought the letter of intent and proposal from Cloudsea Group."

Seraphina Sinclair took the documents from Desmond Fairchild’s hand skeptically and examined them carefully.

The text on the white paper was very clear, indeed a proposal for cooperation between Cloudsea Group and Kevin Group, even bearing Cloudsea Group’s official seal.

"But according to you, if Cloudsea Group values this collaboration so much, would your company really trust a newcomer like you to handle it?" Seraphina’s suspicion grew stronger as she scrutinized Desmond Fairchild.

A corporation as significant as Cloudsea Group shouldn’t make such a basic error.

Miscalculation!

Upon hearing Seraphina Sinclair’s inquiry, Desmond Fairchild’s heart skipped a beat, never expecting to reveal a flaw so soon.

However, Desmond Fairchild’s face remained calm as he looked at Seraphina Sinclair: "This document is meant for Quentin Jennings. I’m here to assist him with the task."

"Is that so?" Seraphina Sinclair raised an eyebrow at Desmond Fairchild.

Desmond Fairchild nodded, "Moreover, I’ve been performing well lately. The company trusts me, and I believe I’ll be promoted soon. I’ll treat you all to dinner then."

"Wow, is Dad getting a promotion? That’s fantastic!" Jude Sinclair clapped happily, interrupting their conversation.

Mom is already suspicious about Dad’s identity, and if she gets more information, who knows what she’ll find out next.

Mom hasn’t fully trusted Dad yet, and if she discovers that he has been deceiving her all along, his hopes for a perfect family might crumble.

Listening to Desmond Fairchild’s explanation, Seraphina Sinclair nodded thoughtfully.

Then her gaze fell on Jude Sinclair, who was standing nearby, "Jude, shouldn’t you explain to me why you’re here?"

Her focus had been on Desmond Fairchild’s identity, and she had momentarily forgotten about Jude; if he hadn’t spoken up, she might not have remembered him.

You know you’re in trouble when your mom calls you by your full name!

Jude Sinclair’s mind started racing. Before he could explain himself, Desmond Fairchild spoke up: "When Quentin Jennings called me, Jude was beside me and overheard since I answered the call on speaker. Hearing about the two companies, he insisted that mom might be in danger and demanded to come along. That’s when I discovered you were Kevin Group’s representative."

Although he had already researched some of this information, it still seemed strange to him.

Even if Seraphina Sinclair was Kevin Group’s representative, she shouldn’t have that much money, and such a sudden appointment raised suspicions. She had vanished for five years, only to reappear in Bayside City, and there had to be more behind it.

Both of them had lingering doubts, but neither pursued the matter further.
