Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!
Chapter 74: Fairchild Family Members
CHAPTER 74: CHAPTER 74: FAIRCHILD FAMILY MEMBERS
Considering her current situation, she definitely couldn’t beat those men, so she could only figure out a way to escape on her own. She looked around and noticed a chair.
Then, she gritted her teeth and painfully walked over to drag the chair over to smash the window.
"What’s going on? Didn’t you say she was drugged? How did she wake up! Hurry up, open the door!" The people outside heard noise inside and hurriedly spoke, accelerating their pace.
"Bang!" At that moment, they busted open the door, toppling over the cabinet, causing a loud crashing sound.
"Quick, catch her!" One of the men was the first to rush in front of Seraphina Sinclair, while she had already made a big hole in the window.
Suddenly, at the banquet, a man as handsome as a deity appeared, causing everyone to exclaim in surprise.
"Isn’t that Desmond Fairchild? Why is he here?"
A few sharp-eyed people saw Desmond Fairchild and exclaimed.
It was rumored that the head of the Fairchild Family never bothered to attend such trivial banquets, and no one had ever successfully invited him, but this time...
"Is he really Desmond Fairchild? Doesn’t he usually never appear publicly? I heard President Fairchild doesn’t like attending such events, but why did he bring these people along? Could it be to crash the party?"
Everyone present looked at the imposing security team behind Desmond Fairchild and involuntarily took a step back.
Desmond Fairchild’s face was so gloomy it could have dripped water, his entire presence icy as if the temperature in the banquet hall dropped a few degrees upon his arrival. Naturally, no one dared to approach.
"Have you found the location?" Desmond called Jude Sinclair, who was searching at the private room doors on the second floor.
"Dad, there’s a crowd surrounding the door ahead, it’s not good..." Jude exclaimed, quickly rushing over, and Desmond furrowed his brows, heading upstairs.
When the group broke in, Seraphina Sinclair bit her lip in horror, her mind no longer fully clear. Her luscious red lips, slightly flushed face, and those dreamy eyes made one restless.
"Still trying to run, girl?" Tyler Warren, the leader, sneered, looking at Seraphina Sinclair with burning heat in his gut.
Seraphina turned to look outside the window, steeled herself, closed her eyes, and prepared to jump.
"Let’s see who dares touch her!" At that moment, a steady and powerful male voice echoed, tinged with solemn murder.
Seraphina had already extended one leg onto the windowsill, but upon hearing the voice, her mind exploded with a buzz. Turning her head, she saw someone unmatched in elegance, and a sliver of hope raised in her sinking heart.
Why did he come?
"Who are you?" The two men looked at each other in astonishment and stepped back, planning to act on a chance.
"Seraphina, get down quickly, don’t hurt yourself." Desmond Fairchild paid no heed to the two men, looking directly at the struggling person with eyes full of empathy.
"Damn it, boy, I warn you not to ruin our business!" One of the men dared to look at Desmond Fairchild, naked threat in his eyes.
Upon hearing that, Desmond Fairchild’s expression remained calm, his eyes deep as if those of an eagle owl, noble and cold, like an eagle in the darkness locked onto its prey.
Thinking about how, if he hadn’t received Jude’s call, she would have ended up in someone else’s hands, he felt a wave of dread.
"Hmph, if you’re smart, get out of the way!" They still hadn’t seen the situation clearly and became arrogant, trying to scare Desmond away.
"Good, very good!" Originally, Desmond didn’t intend to expose himself in front of Seraphina Sinclair, but now these people seemed to be getting more brazen.
When the two were about to make further moves, Desmond clapped his hands, and a group of men instantly rushed out from behind.
"Master! What are the orders?" Ace, leading the group, nodded, accompanied by the small Jude Sinclair, who wore a cold expression just like Desmond Fairchild.
"Are the people downstairs all under control?" Desmond’s voice was chilly.
Ace nodded, "They are all under control, Master. Not a fly will escape!"
"Take this group down; don’t let a single one slip through. Gather them in the hall and check them one by one. Daring to lay hands on my woman, they’re living on borrowed time!"
Desmond finished speaking and turned to Jude, "Ace, take Jude back to the old manor and tell the old lady he is her great-grandson."
"Yes!" Ace responded respectfully.
Speaking, Desmond looked at Jude, "Jude, when you see your great-grandmother, don’t be afraid, she..."
"Dad, don’t worry about me; I’m well-acquainted with her. Just make sure not to let any of these people go today." Jude’s little face was tense, his tone cold as ice.
Desmond’s face flashed with a trace of surprise. He thought he’d hidden a lot, but it turned out his son had many secrets of his own. Not questioning further, Desmond turned towards Seraphina Sinclair.
Seraphina was sitting by the window, her head dizzy as she watched the scene, feeling something was wrong, but the next moment Desmond pulled her into his arms.
Desmond looked into her eyes, lifted her horizontally, kissed her forehead, and his voice was filled with pity and pain: "I’m sorry, I arrived late..."
The banquet hall downstairs was already in chaos, everyone controlled by the suddenly incoming people, feeling somewhat frightened.
"What’s happening? Are these Fairchild Family members?"
"No matter how tyrannical, they shouldn’t restrict our freedom! Isn’t everyone here a respectable figure in Bayside City? People from Cloudsea Group are too domineering!"
"What can we do? This master rarely shows his face, personally coming here today, who knows what’s happened? Best keep quiet and hope for the best!"
"..."
The crowd was chattering away, and for a moment, the scene was chaotic.
However, downstairs, while they were discussing Desmond Fairchild’s arrival, they suddenly saw him carry a woman out, leaving everyone dumbfounded.
Melanie Lloyd was even more stunned, could it be that the whole commotion caused by Desmond Fairchild was just for Seraphina Sinclair?
But Desmond didn’t turn around for another glance, directly carrying Seraphina Sinclair out of the banquet hall.
Seraphina’s consciousness was fading in and out, weakly punching his chest.
"Bastard, let go of me, who on earth are you!" Her soft fists felt like a tickle, coupled with her flushed face and glittering eyes, making it seem like an invitation.
Desmond’s pupils tightened as he carried her into the car, drawing the curtain to prevent the driver from seeing her tempting state.
His voice was hoarse, tinged with restraint: "If you’re unruly again, I’ll throw you out of here."
Seraphina had a sliver of rationality left, so she dared not struggle anymore, shrinked in the corner to open the car window for fresh air.
Soon the driver brought them home, but Seraphina had almost lost consciousness, her dress torn in disarray from the heat she felt all over. Desmond took off his suit to cover her, carried her into the house, and laid her on the large bed, intending to get water to cool her down.
"Don’t go." Her sleeve was suddenly grabbed.
Seraphina felt increasingly hot, her clothes being tugged off more and more. Her body felt as though there was a fire burning within, threatening to consume her.
Desmond looked at the woman in front of him, taking a deep breath: "Damn it!"
What was happening? Clearly, it was the girl who was drugged, why did he feel a fire burning?
