Chapter 1410: Secret Technique of the Stone Platform
Reaching the end of this cave, the walls around were now covered with Devouring Demon Flowers, becoming denser and denser. The stone wall at the cave's end was entirely covered in them, just looking at it would make one dizzy.
Ye Qing's heart raced. So many Devouring Demon Flowers had completely blocked his paths in all directions. If these flowers were to move in to devour him, he would have no escape!
Fortunately, these Devouring Demon Flowers didn't make any moves and didn't actively come to consume him. On the contrary, Ye Qing discovered a spacious stone platform at the cave's end.
This stone platform seemed to have been deliberately polished by someone, looking very smooth, quite different from the surroundings of the cave. In such a cave, this stone platform was particularly conspicuous.
Having reached this spot, Ye Qing certainly wasn't going to retreat. He took a deep breath and cautiously moved forward, fearing any large moves would awaken those Devouring Demon Flowers.
Luckily, they remained inactive, much like ordinary plants, without the slightest intent to come down and consume him.
Ye Qing reached the side of the stone platform, with hundreds of Devouring Demon Flowers above him. This was probably the most dangerous spot in the entire cave. These flowers, even if they didn't devour him, might trap him in between if they fell, and he couldn't escape.
Ye Qing almost held his breath, even slowing down his breathing, afraid that the sound of it might disturb the flowers. He slowly lowered his head, carefully examining the stone platform.
Just as Ye Qing had predicted, the platform indeed seemed like it had been polished by someone, extremely smooth. However, because no one had been here in ages, a lot of dust had settled on it, covering the entire surface with a thick layer of dust.
Ye Qing was greatly surprised. How could such a platform appear here? By its appearance, it seemed like a stone bed. Could someone have actually lived here? But wasn't this the Great Demon King's burial place, filled with dangers of all sorts? Who could possibly stay here?
After pondering for a while, Ye Qing slowly reached out on the platform, trying to see if there were any mechanisms. He had just felt around less than a foot when his hand touched some carved marks. His heart skipped a beat; it seemed his guess was correct, there were indeed mechanisms on this platform.
Ye Qing hurriedly wiped off the dust with his sleeve, revealing the platform's entire appearance.
This stone platform was about six feet long and less than four feet wide, indeed resembling a stone bed. The platform was smooth, obviously polished by someone. But at the very center of the platform, there was a pile of engraved patterns.
Ye Qing examined them closely; these engraved patterns were of two kinds. One was carved diagrams, and the other was carved characters, which Ye Qing recognized as Buddhist Texts characters. This meant the monk not only reached here but also left these carved Buddhist Texts on this stone bed.
Looking up at the multitude of Devouring Demon Flowers above, Ye Qing couldn't help but sweat for the monk. The monk had quite the nerve to make such bold moves under these flowers; wasn't he afraid of disturbing them?
Although Ye Qing knew these were Buddhist Texts, he couldn't understand their content at all. Still, he took out a notebook and copied down all the Buddhist Texts symbols. Along the way, he had been copying the monk's Buddhist Texts symbols to at least figure out their meaning once he got out.
After copying down the Buddhist Texts symbols, Ye Qing looked at the patterns beside them. Compared to the characters, these patterns were easier to recognize. They were simple human body diagrams, with some red lines marked by arrows, drawn inside the bodies, the meaning of which was unknown.
Ye Qing stared at these diagrams for a while and suddenly had a thought. These diagrams seemed to be annotating some kind of Inner Strength technique. The arrows of the red lines were indicating the flow direction of True Qi in the body!
Could it be that these diagrams annotate a set of martial arts techniques? But what kind of martial arts is it? Could it be the martial arts left by the Great Demon King?
This series of questions left Ye Qing somewhat bewildered. However, one thing was certain: a martial art preserved on this platform was definitely not simple. Practicing it would only benefit people!
Ye Qing carefully examined the engraved human body diagrams multiple times. Being versed in Acupoint Seeking Technique, he was very familiar with the human body's meridians and acupoints. The positions marked by the red lines in these diagrams were clear to him. So after examining them twice, Ye Qing memorized the content of these diagrams. He also began circulating his Inner Strength according to the red lines' marked positions in the diagrams.
There's no denying that Acupoint Seeking Technique provided significant assistance, allowing Ye Qing to grasp the flow of True Qi within his body accurately. So, after trying twice, Ye Qing managed to make True Qi flow according to the diagram's marked positions. Despite the sealed state of his body's meridians, strangely, according to the diagram's positions, True Qi inside him could be mobilized. The True Qi flowing from his Dantian coursed through these positions and infused directly into Ye Qing's arms. An overwhelming force immediately filled his arms.
Ye Qing hadn't expected this to happen. The force surging inside his arms was so great it felt like his arms were about to burst. Almost involuntarily, he raised his hands and thrust them forward, releasing a powerful force from his palms.
With a thunderous boom, the Devouring Demon Flowers on the stone wall ahead were all shaken by Ye Qing's palm.
Ye Qing himself was stunned, watching as hundreds of Devouring Demon Flowers swayed on the stone wall. He instinctively turned and ran, not knowing that it was his palm strike causing the movement. He assumed the flowers had awoken and dared not linger a moment longer.
However, the Devouring Demon Flowers didn't pursue him. But Ye Qing didn't dare look back, sprinting out of the cave in one breath to the fork in the road outside, where he finally squatted by the side, gasping for air. Even though he had come out, Ye Qing still felt uneasy and didn't dare approach the cave, nervously watching from outside. If any flowers came out, he would have to flee quickly.
Thankfully, after a long time, there was no movement from within the cave, allowing Ye Qing some relief. He didn't realize the flowers hadn't been disturbed by him and assumed they couldn't leave the cave, thinking he'd be safer outside at least.
After calming down for a while, Ye Qing recalled the situation while practicing the martial arts and his heart skipped a beat. This set of martial arts could gather all his Inner Strength and infuse it into his arms, launching a full-strength attack with tremendous power. More importantly, even with all his meridians sealed, he could still channel True Qi from the Dantian to his arms thanks to the martial arts set. Due to the blocked meridians, the True Qi transferred wasn't much, but the power was incredibly frightening.
Ye Qing could vividly recall the feeling of power in his arms earlier. He didn't doubt that the force he unleashed was several times, perhaps ten times as strong as his usual full-power strike. In other words, using the set of martial arts could instantly boost his power by several or even tenfold, which was a staggering concept!
Ye Qing didn't know to what level the Five Unmatches of the World's skills reached, but he was sure that if his power could be increased tenfold, a full-power strike might even injure a top-level master like Prince Wan Yan Bei Wuchen!
What exactly is this martial arts set? How could it be so powerful? And who left it here? Were those diagrams carved by the monk or left by the Great Demon King?
Ye Qing was filled with astonishment and doubt, but these questions were beyond his comprehension. It seemed only after getting out and having someone translate those Buddhist Texts could he understand the origin of these diagrams.
Calming his excited heart, Ye Qing suddenly remembered how Yin Xianzi had entered the adjacent fork, yet there was still no movement from there. That fork was chosen by Yin Xianzi, marked with a Taoist Incantation. They had entered separately, but now, Ye Qing had been out for quite some time, and still, Yin Xianzi hadn't come out. Had she encountered some mishap inside?
Ye Qing began feeling worried. Could Yin Xianzi have chosen the wrong path and entered a dead end? But thinking about it, it didn't seem likely. The fork he took was also fraught with danger, yet he managed to get out, proving these weren't necessarily dead ends. How could someone as skilled as Yin Xianzi still not have come out?
After waiting outside the cave for another half hour, Yin Xianzi still hadn't emerged. There was no movement from the Taoist Incantation-marked fork either, making it unclear what was happening inside or whether Yin Xianzi had encountered danger.
Ye Qing furrowed his brow tightly. After entering the Buddhist Texts-marked fork, he had started speculating that the five forks weren't dead ends. As long as no big disturbances were made, and the Devouring Demon Flowers weren't disturbed, there would be no danger.
But why hadn't Yin Xianzi come out yet? Ye Qing was worried and hesitated, unsure about whether to go in and check on the exact situation inside.
