Urban Miracle Doctor
Chapter 18 - 18 The Man by the Roadside
18: The Man by the Roadside 18: The Man by the Roadside The next day, Qin Han woke up at nine in the morning.
After eating the breakfast Song Yuwei had left for him, Qin Han got dressed and went out.
He planned to stroll around to find the location for the clinic.
Clinics naturally need to be located where there are a lot of patients, and Huqing Street in Zhongzhou City is a gathering place for traditional Chinese medicine clinics.
However, Qin Han walked around Huqing Street all morning and couldn’t find a place he liked.
Just as Qin Han was silently regretting, a loud crying broke out.
“Doctor, please save my father.” The piercing voice came out clearly, Qin Han could hear the despair hidden within it.
Qin Han looked toward the source of the sound, stood up, and walked over.
A clinic named Huichun Hall came into his view, in front of which a twelve-year-old boy knelt on the ground, with a man lying beside him, his face turning dark.
His breathing was faint, obviously not far from death.
“Go away, go away, if you don’t have money, what are you getting treated for?” A young man dressed as an attendant yelled loudly at the front of the door.
“Please, save my father, I can work here to pay for the medical expenses.” Tears were still on the boy’s face, but his words were filled with begging.
“Get lost, get lost!
Don’t interfere with our business.
What can a person like you do?
Just scram!” The attendant said disdainfully, then turned to the onlookers and spoke indifferently.
“Go on, go on, stop looking, disperse now.”
Seeing this, the onlookers all shook their heads.
In this world, without money, you really can’t get medical treatment.
The little boy was pitiful indeed, but these people were hardly better off; they too were barely surviving in this harsh world.
As the crowd dispersed, Qin Han did not leave.
The attendant’s gaze turned to Qin Han, and he said with some anger, “What’s with you?
Disperse!”
“I can cure him!” Qin Han calmly looked at the man lying on the ground with faint breathing and said softly to the little boy.
“What did you say?” the attendant asked, disbelief on his face.
The boy, whose gaze was blank and filled with despair, suddenly snapped back to reality and looked at Qin Han.
“If you can cure my father, I’ll work like an ox or a horse for you!” The little boy knelt before Qin Han and cried loudly.
“With you, psh!
Tell me, what do they even have that’s worth tricking?” the attendant obviously took Qin Han for a swindler roaming the streets and scoffed mockingly.
Qin Han ignored him and simply stepped forward to where the man lay, pressing repeatedly on the man’s chest.
Regardless, he had to give it a try first.
After Qin Han’s fingertips touched him, the man’s originally weak breathing steadied quite a bit.
With a flick of his palm, the attendant’s eyes widened.
An outsider might not notice anything, but having studied with his master for five years, he could see something was definitely happening.
This flick showed noticeably that the qi around the man on the ground had changed.
Looking at Qin Han’s face, the attendant was full of disbelief.
Qin Han turned serious, his eyes suddenly gleaming brightly as a Golden Needle appeared in his hand; the next moment, it directly landed on the man’s Tan Zhong Acupoint, which shocked the attendant, as Tan Zhong Acupoint is considered a fatal spot on the body.
Medical practitioners rarely dared to needle this acupoint, but Qin Han acted as if it were nothing unusual.
His composure indirectly carried an air of a great master.
After that, Qin Han’s movements became faster and faster.
In a moment, the man’s body was covered with Golden Needles.
Qin Han flicked his fingers, and all the needles began to tremble, turning the man’s face from black to red as he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of black blood, but then he gradually regained consciousness.
“Dad!” the little boy exclaimed.
“How is this possible?” The attendant from Huichun Hall looked in shock at the man on the ground.
“Calling the clinic a business, is that how your master taught you?” Qin Han turned and coldly spoke to the attendant.
“Psh, who do you think you are, preaching to me?” Although the man had been cured, the attendant did not reflect on Qin Han’s words in the slightest, but instead responded with hostility.
“Thank you, young man.” The man on the ground slowly spoke.
“Take some tonifying and vitalizing medicine, and after two more acupuncture sessions, you’ll be able to recover,” Qin Han said to the man calmly.
“Being able to live a few more days is already a huge opportunity, but I’m ashamed to say my pockets are empty, and I have nothing to offer in return.”
“Dad, I’ll earn money, and I’ll definitely cure you.
Don’t worry about the money,” the man had just finished speaking when a little boy beside him spoke up.
“Ah!” Qin Han sighed.
He wanted to help the father and son, but he too was penniless.
After thinking for a moment, Qin Han decided to call Zhou Wenfeng.
The phone rang once before it was answered, and Zhou Wenfeng’s voice came through.
“Qin, do you have a moment?”
“Wenfeng, I need your help with something,” Qin Han then explained the situation to Zhou Wenfeng.
Zhou Wenfeng simply asked for Qin Han’s address and immediately hung up, rushing over.
He felt that if Qin Han thought of him first, it showed that he was genuinely valued.
Before long, Zhou Wenfeng arrived at Huqing Street.
After understanding the situation, he directly got several prescriptions of tonifying and vitalizing medicines from the clinic opposite and then took Qin Han and the three men to a hotel.
“Stay here for now, and in a few days, move to my clinic.
The clinic needs someone to keep watch at night, which can also serve as a place for you to stay,” Qin Han kindly said to the man on the bed.
Qin Han was no saint, but not treating his patients was not his style.
“Enormous favor, I’ll never forget it, how could I impose any further?”
“Haha, it’s alright, Qin said to go, so just go.
In the future, you just help Qin out and you’ll have everything,” Zhou Wenfeng said encouragingly before Qin Han could speak.
Qin Han nodded, his impression of Zhou Wenfeng improved again.
Despite the size of the Zhou family business, he wasn’t a spoiled heir; rather, he was kind-hearted and could genuinely be helpful in the future.
“Wenfeng is right; once the clinic opens, we’ll need staff anyway, especially since you have a child with you,” Qin Han said with a light smile.
“Thank you so much, Yaoyang, quickly thank Mr.
Qin,” the man immediately expressed his gratitude and pulled the little boy beside him.
“Thank you, Mr.
Qin!” the little boy said, gazing up at Qin Han with wide eyes.
“Rest here for the next few days.
Once the clinic is ready, I’ll come for you,” Qin Han said, preparing to leave with Zhou Wenfeng.
“Use this to buy some food,” Zhou Wenfeng said, standing up and slipping a few bills into the little boy’s hand.
Qin Han’s admiration for Zhou Wenfeng deepened after this gesture, recognizing his meticulous thinking and potential.
Qin Han had only considered their lodging but had not realized they lacked even the money to buy medicines, let alone food.
After sorting these matters, the two left the hotel and walked toward Huqing Street again.
As Zhou Wenfeng put it, he couldn’t wait to see Qin’s clinic open.
“By the way, Qin, a man named Song Yuzhe from the Song family came to my company this morning to sign a contract.
Seeing it wasn’t your wife, I refused to meet him and had my secretary throw him out, haha,” they walked along Huqing Street, Zhou Wenfeng jokingly said.
“That’s my wife’s brother, the eldest son of the Song family, he’s always disliked my wife,” Qin Han explained.
“Damn, had I known, I would have taken the opportunity to really shame him,” Zhou Wenfeng said, somewhat regretfully.
“No need, let Yu Wei sign the contract, and I’ll handle the rest.”
“Hmm, I’ve already told my secretary, except for your wife, we won’t sign with anyone else from the Song family!
And only your wife will manage this project,” Zhou Wenfeng said proudly to Qin Han.
“Much appreciated!” Qin Han smiled lightly.
“Come on, Qin, we’re like brothers, aren’t we?” Zhou Wenfeng said cheerfully.
“…”
