Qin Han returned home to find Song Yuwei looking over some documents on the table, while the little one was playing with a few toys glued together on the sofa by herself.

Upon seeing Qin Han enter, Song Yuwei gathered the documents from the table and put them into the briefcase beside her.

“I should be back soon this afternoon; you can take a nap.

Let Mingming play by herself here,” Song Yuwei advised as she began to put on her coat.

Qin Han gave a wry smile; it seemed that his journey from a useless man to a warm-hearted one was long and arduous.

“Mingming, be good at home, okay?

Mommy will be back soon,” Song Yuwei put on her shoes and couldn’t help but give another worried instruction before turning to speak to Qin Han.

Qin Han interrupted her, waving his hand, “Go on, don’t worry, I will play with Mingming.

You don’t need to keep thinking of her.”

Seeing Qin Han say this, Song Yuwei could only respond with a “Thank you!”

“What’s with all the thanks between husband and wife?

Mingming is my daughter too.

Go on.”

Song Yuwei went downstairs and walked on the street, looking up at their balcony with a glimmer of hope in her eyes before striding toward Wanhua Company.

“Daddy, if you’re sleepy, go to bed.

I can play here by myself, I won’t be naughty,” the little one said with her big sparkling eyes blinking up at Qin Han.

Looking at his doll-like daughter, Qin Han’s heart melted.

His eyes twinkled as he suddenly said with great enthusiasm, “Mingming, want to go to the amusement park?”

“Really, Daddy?” The little one’s eyes burst with radiance at the mention of the amusement park, throwing herself into Qin Han’s arms, her face full of longing.

But just after she spoke, a shadow crossed her eyes, and she said sadly,

“But the amusement park is expensive, we don’t have the money.

And the money for the amusement park could buy a lot of groceries.”

Seeing Mingming’s sensible demeanor, Qin Han felt a pang of heartache and patted her head, saying, “Daddy has money, I earned some today, and I will make even more in the future.”

“Really?

Mingming’s parents often take him to the amusement park, and I really want to go.”

“Get dressed, Daddy will take you today.”

Qin Han helped Mingming put on a jacket, and the two left the house to hail a taxi and head to the amusement park.

Meanwhile, Song Yuwei had reached the reception of Wanhua Company, where the receptionist greeted her with a professional smile.

“Miss, how can I assist you?”

Song Yuwei adjusted her emotions and breathing, smiling as she said, “I’m Song Yuwei from Song Group, I would like to speak with the president of your company.

Could you please let him know I’m here?”

“Song Group?

Didn’t someone come by this morning?

Do you have an appointment?” The receptionist maintained a professional smile but was thinking to herself, clearly puzzled why someone else was sent after this morning’s incident.

“Um…

I don’t have an appointment; I’m here to discuss a project collaboration.

Please, can you help me?” Song Yuwei was taken aback; could she not even get through the door?

“I’m sorry, Miss, but you can’t see President Zhou without an appointment.

Please make one and then come back,” the receptionist said, growing impatient but still smiling professionally.

“Okay then, thank you,” Song Yuwei said, turning to leave in disappointment.

“Not a single piece of expensive jewelry on her, and this morning they said that was the son of Song Group, and in the afternoon they send over a salesperson?

Song Yuwei, Song Yuzhe?

Hmm?” The receptionist mumbled to herself.

Just as a businesswoman was about to walk past her, she suddenly turned around and asked,

“Who did you mention?”

The receptionist was startled, and upon seeing that it was President Zhou’s assistant Lina, quickly clarified, “Someone from Song Group, named Song Yuwei, sounds like the name of the person who was here this morning, Song Yuzhe.”

“Where is she?” Lina asked urgently upon hearing Song Yuwei’s name.

“She just left, um…

over there…”

Before she could finish speaking, Lina had already dashed out, running to catch up with Song Yuwei.

“Miss Song, please wait!” Lina panted as she stopped Song Yuwei.

“May I ask who you are?” Song Yuwei, seeing the beautiful woman blocking her way, asked with some surprise.

“You’re here to have Mr.

Zhou sign the contract, right?

Mr.

Zhou is already waiting for you in his office, please follow me,” Lina politely explained.

“Who?

Waiting for me?” Song Yuwei was taken aback for a moment before she was pulled by Lina toward the elevator.

As they passed the front desk, Lina called out to them, “You almost got me killed, I’ll deal with you later.”

Still confused, Song Yuwei followed Lina into the elevator and arrived at the door of the President’s office.

Lina knocked on the door and then said inside, “Mr.

Zhou, Song Yuwei from Song Group is here.”

The sound of furniture being moved around came from the office, followed by the door opening to reveal a smiling Zhou Wenfeng in front of Song Yuwei.

“Ah, sister-in-law has arrived, come in, come in,” Zhou Wenfeng warmly said to Song Yuwei, then turned his head and instructed, “Lina, go prepare the contract and two cups of coffee for me.”

Lina turned to get the contract and coffee ready while Song Yuwei was ushered into the office by Zhou Wenfeng.

“Please take a seat, sister-in-law!” Zhou Wenfeng gestured for Song Yuwei to sit on the sofa and then sat opposite her.

“Mr.

Zhou…

Zhou?

Do you know me?” Song Yuwei said absentmindedly as she sat down on the sofa, asking with a daze.

“Hmm?

Qin didn’t introduce me?

That’s really disappointing.

I’ll have to have a good talk with him later,” Zhou Wenfeng murmured to himself instead of answering Song Yuwei.

Soon, Lina brought in the contract and coffee, placed them on the coffee table, and stood aside, carefully sizing up Song Yuwei.

She was surprised, wondering who could make Mr.

Zhou not only come out to greet her personally but also speak so politely.

“Sister-in-law, here, here, here!

Just sign your name, then go back and stamp the company’s seal on it, and the contract will be effective,” Zhou Wenfeng said as he flipped open the contract and pointed out where Song Yuwei needed to sign.

Song Yuwei, however, did not hurry to sign but instead picked up the contract and started reading it carefully.

Lina stood by somewhat speechlessly, thinking about how many people wanted to sign this contract with Wanhua Company, and yet Song Yuwei was afraid of being scammed?

Zhou Wenfeng, however, seeing Song Yuwei’s actions, nodded in approval, calm and unperturbed.

Qin’s wife was impressive.

What Zhou Wenfeng didn’t know was that Song Yuwei was just worried that the contract might have some hidden traps since it seemed too simple.

After a while, Song Yuwei signed her name on the contract, looking at Zhou Wenfeng in astonishment.

“Mr.

Zhou, is that…

is that all?”

“Yeah, what’s so complicated about it, sister-in-law?” Zhou Wenfeng also looked surprised, as signing a contract was always like this, wasn’t it?

“Ah?

To be honest, Mr.

Zhou…

I…” Song Yuwei wanted to clarify what exactly was going on, but Zhou Wenfeng didn’t give her the chance, waving his hand and saying with a smile.

“Sister-in-law, no need to speak of it, just go ask Qin!”

And so, Song Yuwei signed Wanhua Company’s contract in a haze and was just as confusedly escorted out of the Wanhua Company’s doors by Lina.

Looking at the contract in her hand, Song Yuwei pinched herself hard.

“Ouch!”

It hurt, which meant it was real!

Pulling out her phone, she called Song Yuanqiao.

Once connected, Song Yuwei excitedly said, “Dad, I’ve signed the contract with Wanhua.”
