Urban Soldier Young Master
Chapter 768 - 767: All of You, Step Back
Bao Zhanhai and his more than twenty men formed two horizontal lines, continuously moving forward, and the distance between them and the South Koreans was decreasing. The sound of machetes and iron rods scraping on the cement road became more piercing, and the street lamps shone on the machetes, making them gleam chillingly.
Under normal circumstances, such a situation would undoubtedly put great pressure on ordinary people. Several pedestrians nearby had already been scared off to one side. However, these South Koreans remained extraordinarily calm, even leisurely chatting in Korean.
Chu Ge was somewhat concerned about what these South Koreans were saying, but he was standing quite far from them, obscured by the sharp sound of machetes and iron rods scraping on the ground, making it impossible for him to hear clearly.
Song Baijia had better hearing than Chu Ge, but unfortunately, he didn't understand a word of Korean, so Chu Ge couldn't count on him.
Finally, the distance between the two groups was reduced to about ten meters. Bao Zhanhai shouted again, and the twenty-some men on his side simultaneously raised their weapons, charging forward aggressively.
Chu Ge's brows furrowed even more. Up to this point, the reaction of these South Koreans was still so indifferent.
Faced with the glinting blades and heavy iron rods, some of these South Koreans shrugged their shoulders, some shook their hands, some clenched their fists, and there were even those yawning, lighting cigarettes, or fiddling with the fringes of their hair.
Clearly, these South Koreans were full of confidence and didn't take Bao Zhanhai's group seriously at all.
The ten-meter gap was closed in just a few seconds, and without any superfluous words, the two sides started brawling, the scene becoming a chaotic mess.
With just a few glances, Chu Ge stood up from the bench.
Although the two sides were currently deadlocked, Chu Ge could see clearly that Bao Zhanhai's group was no match for the South Koreans. It was only by virtue of their numbers and the advantage of holding weapons that they managed to keep the situation at a stalemate.
What concerned Chu Ge even more was that these South Koreans clearly weren't giving it their all. While easily handling the fight, they also taunted with disdainful undertones, speaking provocative words in Korean.
In less than half a minute, a comrade of Bao Zhanhai yelped in pain, getting kicked several meters away by the opponent, and his machete was snatched away.
This South Korean, now holding a knife, looked even more mocking. He brandished the knife left and right, making several of Bao Zhanhai's men bleed in a flash.
"Zhanhai! Have your men retreat!" Chu Ge couldn't stand it any longer. He shouted out loud and charged toward the fray.
No matter what, these people were risking their lives for him. If they could win, he wouldn't mind watching from the sidelines, but seeing the situation not in their favor, he naturally couldn't stand idly by.
After rushing forward a couple of steps, Chu Ge suddenly realized something. He turned his head and shouted at Song Baijia, who had a conflicted expression and was at a loss, "Call the police, say there's a murder here, and have them dispatch immediately!"
Hearing Chu Ge's shout, Bao Zhanhai pushed back his opponent with a slash. Despite being shocked by the opponent's strength, he still shouted, "Master Chu! We can hold them off! You don't need to worry!"
"Stop talking nonsense! Hurry up!"
In the span of two sentences, Chu Ge had already rushed close to the melee. At that moment, another South Korean grabbed a knife, injuring two of Bao Zhanhai's men.
Seeing his comrades wounded one after another, and with Chu Ge's irrefutable tone, Bao Zhanhai finally stopped hesitating. He shouted, "Listen to Master Chu!"
Upon Bao Zhanhai's command, his men finally started to retreat. Meanwhile, the South Koreans didn't pursue but stood their ground, watching Chu Ge, who was the one they were originally looking for, approach step by step.
The leading South Korean waved the machete he snatched, flicking it with his left hand on the blade's back. After a couple of "dang dang" sounds, he looked at Chu Ge, raising his eyebrows, "Oh? Do you intend to take us on all by yourself?"
With a stern face, Chu Ge swept his gaze over these South Koreans, finally landing on the person directly across from him—a short-haired man in a gray-black shirt with a row of earrings on his left ear, seemingly the leader among them, "Who are you people?"
The short-haired man sneered, "Who we are is none of your business. What, have you realized your men can't fight, so you're coming over here to bicker?"
Without waiting for Chu Ge to respond, a young man who had been hiding afar ran over, shouting in Korean, "Brother Jin, he's stalling for time, he had that fat guy call the police!"
Brother Jin froze for a moment, then his brows furrowed, and he cursed "Trash," raising his knife to slash at Chu Ge.
Chu Ge spun on his left foot, shifting his body to the side, quickly dodging the strike, and simultaneously raising his right hand, fiercely grabbing at Brother Jin's knife-wielding wrist.
This action is very simple, but it's all about being "fast". Jin Ge was caught off guard, and Chu Ge firmly grabbed his wrist. Immediately, a great force was transmitted, causing Jin Ge's wrist to throb in pain, and the machete in his hand fell to the ground with a clang.
"Jin Ge!"
The man with the short ponytail shouted angrily, taking a stabbing step forward towards Chu Ge from behind, lifting his foot to kick at Chu Ge's lower back. His instep was stretched straight, and his right leg traced a beautiful and fierce arc.
Hearing the unsound wind behind him, Chu Ge tightly gripped Jin Ge's wrist with his right hand, his left foot spinning abruptly once again. His body spun into an arc, and his shoulder bumped into Jin Ge with the momentum, instantly switching positions with him. The kick from Short Ponytail, originally aimed at Chu Ge, landed directly on Jin Ge's stomach instead.
Short Ponytail put all his strength into that kick, making a muffled sound when it connected with Jin Ge's stomach. Jin Ge's eyeballs bulged out slightly as he let out a dry heave, nearly vomiting up what he had eaten earlier. He staggered backward a few steps, clutching his stomach and bending over.
"Despicable!"
Seeing Chu Ge use Jin Ge as a shield, the South Koreans were thoroughly enraged, and no one remained a bystander, as they all rushed towards Chu Ge.
Bao Zhanhai saw Chu Ge being surrounded, and just as he was thinking of grabbing a knife and rushing over to help, he saw two South Koreans fly out of the fighting chaos one after the other, with less than a second between them.
Immediately following that, Chu Ge grabbed someone's ankle, his right arm swung like a dragon's tail, using that person's body to sweep away another. He then threw this person onto Jin Ge, who first suffered a severe stomach injury. With a thud, they fell onto the ground one after another.
Even though all of this was happening right under Bao Zhanhai's nose, he felt as if he was dreaming, extremely doubting his own eyes.
When these South Koreans fought with them, they were clearly so fierce. Even if there were many of them and they were carrying weapons, they didn't gain any advantage.
How did...when these people faced Chu Ge, they seemed to turn into paper and mud, crumbling so easily? What's more absurd, they even behaved like fools, crashing one by one directly into the points of Chu Ge's attacks?
By the time Bao Zhanhai slightly regained his composure, these South Koreans were already all lying on the ground, no longer having their previous arrogance, holding their injured parts and groaning in pain.
Although Bao Zhanhai didn't intentionally keep time, he estimated that from the time Chu Ge made his move, the entire process definitely didn't take more than a minute.
This time, Bao Zhanhai was thoroughly convinced of Chu Ge's abilities, respectful, and full of admiration. He felt that in all his years, for the first time, he had his eyes opened so wide like today!
Before, he only knew that Chu Ge could fight, but he never expected Chu Ge to be able to fight to this extent. Just based on the terrifying speed Chu Ge displayed, he even suspected that if he had really shot at Chu Ge back then, Chu Ge might have had the ability to dodge the bullet.
He also understood why Chu Ge wanted him and his men to back off earlier. If they were there, they wouldn't have been able to help at all and would have been a burden, affecting Chu Ge's performance.
This...this damn sure isn't a human! This must be a war god!
At this moment, not only was Bao Zhanhai dumbfounded, the more than twenty people who came with him were also astonished, even those who got hacked forgot their pain, staring blankly forward, with dazed expressions and absent-minded gazes.
After taking down these South Koreans, Chu Ge turned his head to look at Bao Zhanhai and smiled silently, "Aren't you going to take your brothers and leave quickly? The police should be arriving soon. Are you waiting for them to invite you for tea?"
Bao Zhanhai shivered, fully awakened, he turned to look at Song Baijia, hesitated a moment and said, "Lord Chu, what about you and that gentleman..."
Chu Ge kicked two South Koreans who still tried to get up as a finishing touch, walked to Bao Zhanhai's side, and shrugged with a smile, "Don't bother with us. He didn't do anything. I'm just acting in self-defense. You go on your way."
Chu Ge had long gotten used to being taken to the police station, and he was quite interested in the identities of these South Koreans. This matter also started because of him, so of course, he wasn't planning to leave.
Bao Zhanhai awkwardly nodded, "Then...then we'll take our leave first. Sorry for the trouble today, Lord Chu, I'll treat you to a meal another day."
Chu Ge smiled, his gaze swept over a few brothers behind Bao Zhanhai who got injured, and he took out the remaining stacks of cash from his bag. "These are for the brothers' medical expenses, get them treated quickly."
Bao Zhanhai immediately shook his head, "Lord Chu, we didn't help you at all, instead causing more trouble. How could we let you spend money on this..."
"Enough, no more of this. Take it if I say so. These brothers got injured because of me. What would it make me if I don't take care of this?" Chu Ge unhesitatingly interrupted Bao Zhanhai, stuffing the money into his hand, "Alright, hurry up and leave."
Bao Zhanhai looked at Chu Ge in distress, finally not refusing anymore, sincerely said, "Thank you, Lord Chu," and turned to lead his people into the two Jinbei vans, quickly disappearing from Chu Ge's sight.
