Vampire God in the Apocalypse

CHAPTER 310: 307. CLASH OF THE TITANS (2)
Henry glided on an undead creature that looked like a serpent. The creature was massive and terrifying, being all skeleton.
The person on it, who wore a black cloak, holding his hand out, seemed to be in deep thought.
An explosion slapped him out of his trance and he looked around to see that he wasn’t inside a hidden world anymore.
"Ahh, I didn’t think I would think about it this deeply. Dexter, you bastard." He shook his head.
When they were on the beach this poor guy was accused of being gay. No matter how much Henry tried to counter Dexter, the truth about the fact was that he stayed away from women too much.
’It’s not that I don’t like women. I just have been really focused on magic.’ Henry gritted his teeth, preparing an explanation he’ll give to Dexter when they get back to the camp.
Ahead, Dexter was carrying Alexander, who held the black spear that flew with them. His physical capabilities were beyond human now that he was a vampire.
"Would we be able to pull it off?" Dexter asked, looking at Alexander.
Any other normal person wouldn’t be able to hear him because of the howling of the wind, but Alexander was a vampire.
The old man turned to Dexter, nodding his head with a smirk.
"Yeah, I’ve prepared everything. How much time do we have left?" The warlock asked, and Dexter looked ahead, spotting the camp from where he was.
"Not much. Not much at all."
...
In the camp, the people were all getting ready for war. The smiles on people’s faces as they prepared to either face salvation or death were not pleasing at all.
Rameses strolled around camp, observing the people. No one seemed to be worried...
’Are they that confident that everyone would survive this?’ Rameses wondered.
"Big brother!"
Feeling a tug at his shirt, Rameses looked beside him to see Flair pointing at a shop nearby.
"I want candy?" She demanded, looking at him with her silvery eyes.
Yes, silver. More like silvery white.
Ever since he fed her the moonstone to heal her disease, her body began to change in unexpected ways.
Her eyes changed colors to this new, weird color, and her hair got darker than normal. Black is black, but her own hair would even blend with darkness, not even shadows.
"Alright, let’s go. I’ll get you the candy." Rameses smiled, walking her to the candy store.
Rameses wasn’t the least worried with her changes, all he wanted was her to live a safe and good life. Away from all the traumas of the apocalypse, or the ’end of the world’ as people call it.
Rameses wasn’t the only one in the camp having a time of his own too. Close to the central building, Gracia was seated on the pavement, strapping her boots.
"You look good in those, by the way." A voice caught her off guard, making her turn to the source.
She saw Collins standing behind her with a cheeky smile on his face and she let out a light laugh.
"You still have time to make girls laugh. We’ve got a big fight ahead of us." She said, stomping her foot on the ground.
"I’ve actually thought about it and prepared myself. There isn’t anything I can do to be more prepared at this moment. We’ll win." Collins assured her, taking a seat by her side.
"What makes you so sure?" Gracia asked in a low tone, looking at the ground. "We’ve seen countless people die in these past few months, you think it’s going to get better?"
Collins sighed, looking at her face with a calm expression.
’Damn it, this isn’t why I’m here!’ he thought, still staring at her.
His brain was empty of thoughts on what she was saying. The reason he came to meet her was to confess how he feels to her, and now this just flipped his thought switch.
In that moment though, he considered her words and her worry.
"Honestly, if you look at our lineup, we have a very high chance of coming out of all this alive." Collins nodded, looking around at people walking back and forth.
"We have more than five third-class people here and more than a dozen who are at the fourth class. I myself managed to reach the third class not too long ago." He raised his chin up, smiling.
He glanced at her to see that she wasn’t even paying attention to him, he shook his head and continued.
"What would make you think that we’ll fall here? We have a lot of support—dragons, witches, werewolves, vampires—we even have foxes now. We might even call this army... ’The Arsenal’." Collins said, looking at her.
Gracia didn’t say anything in the first two seconds, being mute. Suddenly, a smile bloomed on her face and she turned to him.
"Thank you, for saying all of this. And thanks for the compliment too." She chuckled.
Collins gazed at her. He couldn’t help but hear his own heartbeat.
She was really beautiful, with the sunlight making her ebony skin glow. Her short cut hair blocked one of her beautiful blue eyes.
It was now or never.
"Hey, Gracia." He held her hand, his other hand nervously fiddling with something in his pocket.
"You know... I’ve been carrying this around for a while." Collins pulled out a small silver ring, the sun catching on its polished surface. "I remembered how you almost beat that poor passerby half to death because he tried to snatch your necklace." He chuckled softly.
Gracia blinked, a little surprised, then smirked as if caught red-handed.
Collins didn’t say what he said as a joke, before the apocalypse, when the both of them were on a date, they were almost robbed. She didn’t care about her dress or her money, all she cared about was the gold necklace on her neck.
She even went as far as sueing the criminal’s entire family. And a week after the case the criminal was dead.
’Now that I think about it she might be the one who later killed the poor guy.’ He smiled.
"You know I have feelings for you, right?" He went straight to the point, putting the ring aside.
Gracia looked at him with a smile, looking surprised.
"What?"
"I didn’t think you had it in you. You haven’t said anything in a long time." She said, looking directly into his eyes.
"Well, when all of this is over, let’s go somewhere nice and have fun." Collins said, putting a hand on her thigh.
"Does that sound good—"
Collins’s words were cut off as Gracia sealed her lips with his. He was confused, shocked, happy, sad, and excited at the same time.
Instead of thinking too much about it, he sank into the kiss, going with her flow. His hand found its way to her neck and they were at it for a whole minute.
Gracia pulled back, smiling at him.
Collins looked around, seeing the gazes they were getting all of a sudden.
"Yes, I would love to do that with you." She said, taking the silver ring that was on Collins’s palm and putting it on.
