CHAPTER 1183  HOLLOW GLACIER

A blizzard ran rampant as snow piled up chest deep in the hinterlands of Octavia's North. The path to the Hollow Glacier was anything but comforting to everyone involved, including the Asuras. Tiny black dots were visible in the white snow from above, slowly making their way towards a mountainous region far north.

Upon closer inspection, this was the elite group from the Evures, making their way towards their desired destination. They hadn't met with the Asuras yet. "Fuck! If this continues, we'll end up turning into a popsicle before even putting up a fight!" A person cried out as he rubbed his reddened nose. "Even the captain is suffering!" Another yelled. "Focus on the path ahead. You won't die so easily." The shortest person in the group, a young lady, said nonchalantly. She was covered from head to toe and only her bright green eyes could be seen. They were focused on the long legs of her subordinates as they walked in front, creating a trail.

"Captain, who are we? And what have we not come across before? This situation… this situation is too bizarre!" A person said in a loud muffled voice. "Mm." The captain merely hummed.

"Just be glad we don't need food or rest, otherwise it would've been a major disaster." A lady from the group comforted everyone. "I so miss flying…" Octavia was a special place in Shen Ze. It wasn't that the wilderness weren't dangerous for immortals, it was just that most of them were far too powerful and could withstand the harsh climates. Generally, coming across a place that could make even a Supreme Rank suffer was quite uncommon. But their current situation was different. Octavia was the Asura's last fortress and they had purposefully designed it as such to make everyone suffer. By placing arrays, casting multiple AOE spells, and through an arduous ancient ritual, they were successful in making this place the way it was. The price they paid for it was hefty, and Octavia was so powerful on its own that even the Asuras themselves were helpless here. They did not have any cheat that could make them not suffer the harsh weather. They were in a similar condition as the vampires of EGC, except they were in the know of the routes available here and were far ahead of them.

"Forget flying. Even my spiritual sense cannot penetrate farther than a meter. What a dogshit world!" A man cursed as he plowed the snow and made way. The group could not fly despite having wings due to the fact that the blizzard was strong enough to cut through their wings. They were Supreme Ranks for fuck's sake!

Since the time they became immortal, they'd never encountered such a situation. It was very shocking! Meanwhile, a few hundred kilometers behind them, a group of three was walking at a steady speed in the snow-covered hinterland. "Master, this is unexpected." Fei said calmly. Lith nodded. It definitely was. He didn't expect the climate to be so harsh. As he was just a King Rank, the climate affected him a hundredfold times more. He had to make use of Wind, Space, and Fire elements to even have a shot of survival in this place. Lith had spent a hundred years in a similar environment, in much greater stress than now. With the help of Space element, he created a vacuum around to protect him from the harsh cold and sharp shards of ice. The Wind element under his feet helped him move better. Inside the vacuum was a layer of fire mixed with wind that kept his whole body warm. The process was complex and required a lot of mental and spiritual power. It wasn't easy to keep everything running, and the fact that the elemental energies in this region were at a lower concentration wasn't helping it further. Fei and Sylvia were Legendary Ranks now but the strength of their bodies was at the lower level of this realm. Their main strength was magic which was at the highest level in this realm, and this cold reminded them that as they progressed further, the gap was only going to increase.

The universe worked in a strange sense of balance and scholars to this day hadn't been able to figure out why. Philosophies aside, the two ladies were amused to find their Master not slouching the slightest as he walked. He barely seemed to struggle and this stunned them quite a bit. They knew he was capable of everything, but to watch it with their very own eyes was different. It was probably the first time they had seen him in such a harsh environment, and every moment felt sweet to their eyes. Time passed. Lith arrived at a colossal arch naturally made out of a glacier. In front was a clear blue pond, unfrozen, despite the extreme temperatures. It did not have a single ripple and gave reflection as smooth as a mirror. Ahead of the pond was the blizzard again and nothing seemed different. "You guys ready?" Lith pointed at the pond and asked. Having lived in a fantasy world for so long, he was accustomed to strange situations and places. Lith didn't have proof yet but he had a hunch that moving past the pond will only make them wander in the Hollow Glacier's hinterlands. This pond was where they would actually walk the path forward, and it was like a portal. In an environment where blizzards are rampant, it was strange that this pond was so still. Sylvia and Fei naturally found the pond to be an entryway as Space and Time around it was exactly like a portal's. The two nodded their heads and Lith gave them a nod back, flipping into the waters headfirst. With a splash, time dramatically slowed down as he first saw the rough walls of the glacier followed by a dark patch of darkness. The cold water made his body paler, close to being purplish in color as frostbite took all over him. Before the harm was greater, a bright hall appeared before Lith as he landed feet first on the ground. The icy blue stone hall had a throne made of bones, seated upon which was a cloaked figure. A group of people stood in their spots and stared at the figure, unaware of Lith's arrival.

Lith raised his eyebrow and watched the scene before with visible interest.
