Vengeance of The Broken Lycan Prince [BL]
Chapter 327: Right Here For You, I’m Still Waiting
CHAPTER 327: RIGHT HERE FOR YOU, I’M STILL WAITING
[KAWAI]
Kawai was buzzing with the new orders.
The warriors were shocked, to say the least, but after the shock, came the excitement of what was waiting for them. The excitement of being back on the battlefield again. It had seemed like a dream for them but this time it was war.
It was long overdue.
They had suffered through their patience for twenty-six long years and none of them had ever imagined that the order to start preparation and much less retribution would ever come for the son and not the father.
It was the best of things and they were right to be happy. This was heaven for them. It was a better chance at peace and it was the simplest way out. It would be bad overtime but it would be worth it regardless of how long it took.
"The free lands being out of bounds for the rogues has to be the best thing that ever happened here," one of the Lycans said as they went on with their duties.
It was no surprise that this was going to get the attention of so many, but then again, the way that it was all so unexpected was crazy. So many things were hitting around and this right here had to be at the top of the long list of things to be shocked about.
"The Kawai rogues are coming home. I have a feeling that things will be better with the prince taking over," another spoke as they pondered over the new changes.
The Lycan warriors were quite literally all over the kingdom.
A place known to be powerful was finally showing just how strong they were.
The younger warriors were getting to their stations while the older warriors were already lacking up to go to the free lands and clear it of the fucked-up rogues that were there. It wasn’t surprising truly but then this was one that they had to try and sit through.
"I feel bad for those who had nowhere to go. And those that knew the free lands as their only home," one of the Lycan said and Sanji who was walking around heard them.
It was expected of the Lycans to be sympathetic because no matter how hard everything was for them, no matter how harsh the lives they had lived had managed to be, they would always find peace in their hearts.
Humanity was something that the Queen of Hearts had taught them in ways more than one, and while they could have easily fallen back and done the opposite, the Queen of Hearts was the only reason that they had learned to stay put without provoking people.
Besides the fact that their king had been away and hidden from them all was also a factor. For years they had wished to know what was in the mind of the devil himself but then, they never really got the chance.
The man was never there in the first place.
He was a shadow, one that had protected them even then.
The passing of the queen of hearts had redefined Kawai and they had struggled to endure the emptiness, but even they knew that the king was a man of Vengeance and that he would never forgive whatever had cost them their mothers and sisters at their weakest.
They knew the king would one day wake up and talk to them about it, just like the sun always shone and rose again when the day began. It was hope that had kept them sane and no one was going to debate that.
"They had homes before they got dumped in the free lands. All they have to do is go back home and reclaim their homes. Besides, either their leaders take them, or Kawai will burn them all," Sanji said excitedly.
The other lycans looked at him like he was the weirdest person they had ever seen.
This was not how they had been and frankly, it was creepy.
No one in their right mind even thought that people being homeless was the best of things. Then again, for them, Sanji was just another Lycan out there who had no reps grasp of what the fuck was happening.
He was just a man who didn’t know the difference between right and wrong hence he was acting like that. But was that all or was this the most pissed Furfante in the entire realm?
"You have no idea what you’re talking about, Sanji. That place has been home to many for so long. With this war, some packs won’t take back their people, and some who got mated in the process.
"They are rogues and the free lands are almost a quarter of Kawai. So many people were out there on their own," the Lycans said and Sanji sighed softly. This was not new to him.
Of course, he was aware of just how many people would be affected out there.
He understood more than anyone just how risky the move by the Hinata house was and he knew that no matter what happened, this was the change that would ruin countless lives.
It didn’t matter that the sun shone or that shit was trying to be better. It didn’t matter that at the end of the day, some would be reunited in their homes. The only thing that mattered was the state of war that had just been declared.
Kawai would not forgive.
The realm would be forced to reset and the stakes were higher than anything anyone had ever seen. No one wanted that to happen but a wounded Lycan prince with nothing but vengeance in his mind, Tamiko had done the impossible.
It wouldn’t make sense for a while and that was the scariest part of it all. Then again Sanji didn’t care about the scary bits, no. He was just pissed that he wouldn’t have an army of people and pawns that he could waste in his fight against the house Hinata.
This was something that none of the Furfantes had planned for and it was the worst possible position for them.
As he stared at the Lycans struggling to live normal lives with the warriors walking around and patrolling the kingdom, Sanji knew that he had to act.
He knew that this was a state that would force most of the Kawai Lycans into a fix, and he hoped that the measures hadn’t started already because then he would be fucked.
"Well then. I guess I gotta portal and get back to work in the palace before they come for my head," Sanji said lightly even though he was biting back his anger.
He despised the new changes, and if it had been up to him, he would have screwed the entire royal house over.
But he couldn’t.
They, couldn’t.
They still needed the Hinatas to vouch for them in the future — which was slowly fading in the distance. It was not what he had subscribed for and he hated it with all of him. This wasn’t how life was meant to be for them, and it was exhausting, to say the least.
Perhaps they would get over this shit sooner than possible right? They would find their way around regardless of how chaotic shit had gotten. Maybe life would be better when that time came.
However, was a coup the answer to the chaos when they were up against a people who were loved by the beasts of their nation?
"Oh, Sanji, you can’t."
