Villain System: 10,000x Reward On Murder In The Apocalypse!
Chapter 57: Standard Evasion
CHAPTER 57: STANDARD EVASION
The door to his room closed and locked as he stepped outside his room. He met about seven survivors sleeping in the hallway with a bed they had shifted. They were afraid they would be attacked once more, making him chuckle slightly because they were right.
During a moment of crisis when you were fleeing for your life.
From the attack of a stronger beast, you found a place where about fifty chickens were being safely kept, fresh ones, you managed to escape.
Now you’re starving, wouldn’t you what to check the place once more even though there was the possibility you might die?
Meaning, that there was a huge probability they would come back to visit the company once more.
The saying ’Humans die for riches and birds die for food’ wasn’t just said on a whim. They would come back and maybe in fewer numbers at first, but it would certainly increase.
Shaking the thought out of his head,
Draziel smirked as he brought out his blades, hiding them behind him.
"Draziel, what do you think that w—Ucck!"
Draziel’s knife stabbed right into the throat of the first individual.
[You’ve murdered Eliot Yuork in cold blood]
[Chef’s delight manual (common) received]
[1000x multiplier activated]
[Transcendant Cooking (Rare) received]
The others were stunned and shocked, barely believing what they were seeing but Draziel’s speed was too much, he moved like a smiles he leaned on the second person, stabbing his knife through his brain.
——————————————
The morning light was starting to penetrate through the foggy climate, lighting up the world bit by bit as the intensity of the sun’s radiation increased enough to penetrate through to the earth’s surface.
Draziel hopped through the hole of the stairs and with his hands and feet that glued to the wall, he moved horizontally as though walking on land, causing less noise and diminishing even more time required for him to walk down the stairs by about 95 percent.
In just a few seconds, he slowly landed on the ground floor, the pinkish-dark elongated tissue retracting back into his palm, making it tingle slightly.
He was about to open the door to the ground floor gently when his ears suddenly twitched and he paused, four glowing footsteps were heading towards his direction as though in hesitation.
They were not the footsteps of zombies, they were human footsteps based on their silent and soft movements
Even with how quiet he had been, they were still able to hear him land, attracting their vigilance.
An ordinary human wouldn’t have been able to hear the noise he had produced from his soft landing except if their physique had been strengthened, increasing their hearing capability and their eyesight by more than three times.
With rough estimation, he calculated that they had just three to four levels in strength and in physique. From the stepping of their footsteps, they had invested only two points in agility therefore, they placed more importance on their physique and strength.
The vibrations from their footsteps ran through the ground and spread outwards in a circular ripple, oscillating towards Draziel. His head twitched slightly and he came up with their pieces of equipment.
"Tactical gas masks, probably an advanced one, a heavy military standard bulletproof body armour and certainly an assault weapon. Combat knife maybe..."
Draziel eyes abruptly flung wide open and burst out of the stair door like a raging beast, catching the two people off guard.
But although they were caught off guard, their agility gave them high reaction speed and even though Draziel had shortened the distance between the two people in just a second, they didn’t need to react much as all they had to do was point and pull the trigger, and that they did.
The firing pin moved forward with great force, striking and igniting the primer in the cartridge base. The spark from the primer ignites the gunpowder, generating massive gas pressure. The pressure from the expanding gas forced the bullet forward and out of the barrel.
The bullet’s speed and escaping gases produce a loud ’bang’ as the process was been repeated.
"BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!"
Six bullets ripped through the air from the assault rifles, heading towards Draziel with intense speed and at such close range, avoiding the bullet seem impossible and from the incredible momentum Draziel was moving at, it made it even more so inconceivable for him to suddenly change directions.
At that moment, Draziel’s body seem to have turned into a set of puzzles as they shifted abruptly to the right, and then to the left and suddenly took a sharp twist to the right.
Six bullets wheezed past him incredibly close, even tearing holes through his clothes as they slammed against the door behind him. Beginner Bullet Evasive Technique.
The two Mercenaries were alarmed. They had paused their shooting simply because they were sure the bullet was going to hit Draziel’s body.
He was directly in front of their line of fire and was supposed to be dead, but he strangely dodged their bullets with a strange technique similar to the one their captain had used, this immediately shocked them.
But they immediately snapped out of it and immediately aimed once more towards Draziel, pulling the trigger as they opened fire. But Draziel’s speed was just too fast.
He was already in front of them before they were able to react. He instantly changed the directions of the rifle, pointing them upwards as they fired once more, bullets streaming past his face by just a hair-breadth, one in particular dewing blood from his cheek.
"BANG! BANG!!"
His leg turned into a blur as he kicked the both of them in the chests.
One shot backwards like the bullet he had fired, slamming against the wall, his skull cracking in the process but the other was quick, he had immediately joined his hands defensively, letting the kick land on his joined arm, pushing him backwards as he staggered, stopping finally after he had crossed a few meters.
Draziel dropped the assault rifle and touched his cheek, his expression darkened slightly as he felt blood dripping from it.
Although it would heal within a few minutes, he was still inflamed. He shouldn’t have been injured by these small fries even in the previous era where their strength had been balanced, but then, he had still been injured.
He turned towards the man whose had just stabilised himself.
The man used his right arm to tap below his neck "We have a code red situation." simultaneously reached for the pistol holstered by his waist.
With incredible agility, he pointed the pistol Draziel who immediately moved. The ground beneath him suddenly erupted as he stomped his feet.
His body seem to have turned to some sort of ghost as he moved erratically. His figure glitched like the lagging of a character from a game.
"BANG! BANG!! BANG!!!"
Three bullets tore through the air and slammed into Draziel’s body and skull with intense velocity, but there was no blood drawn and Draziel didn’t seem to have been affected by it.
It was as though the bullet had simply passed through him, slamming into the wall behind him in the process. Standard Bullet Evasive Technique.
