Wandering Meteor
Chapter 375 - 374 Flame Nebula
CHAPTER 375: CHAPTER 374 FLAME NEBULA
Just then, the Wandering Alliance suddenly received a message from Soft Body Civilization.
The Wandering Alliance hadn’t expected that before they even took a stance, let alone decided how to deal with Soft Body Civilization, the latter had already preemptively surrendered to them.
In fact, considering the goals and style of Soft Body Civilization, their surrender was not surprising. First, their goal was to survive and get through the Cosmic Crisis, and they had no interest in any materials;
Second, the four major civilizations of the Wandering Alliance displayed overwhelming combat strength; even the Electromagnetic Super Man’s Fei Xing and Fei Chen were no match, not to mention the Soft Body Civilization, which was only a Level 3 Civilization. Even if they became a Level 4 Civilization, it was utterly impossible for them to take on Wandering Alliance’s four civilizations singlehandedly.
Thus, surrender naturally became the best and only choice.
What’s more, once there’s a first time for anything, the second and third times will always come more naturally and smoothly.
Moreover, Soft Body Civilization wasn’t too hung up on pride; they could even surrender to two Electromagnetic Super Men, so surrendering to the Wandering Alliance, which had destroyed Fei Xing and Fei Chen, wasn’t something shameful at all.
After receiving the surrender message from Soft Body Civilization, the four major civilizations of the Wandering Alliance reported this message to Lu Chen of Constant Star.
Shortly thereafter, a massive Space Wormhole appeared near the Red Giant Star, and soon after, Lu Chen of Constant Star emerged, leading the Wandering Star System.
The civilizations of Earth, Light Synthesis, Eternal Life, and Mushroom successively returned to their own orbital paths, and also brought Soft Body Civilization into the Wandering Star System for strict supervision.
At the same time, Lu Chen of Constant Star convened an internal meeting to discuss with some key members whether to accept the surrender of Soft Body Civilization. There could only be two outcomes: acceptance or rejection. After discussions, Wandering Alliance ultimately decided against it.
The decision was made due to several considerations by the Wandering Alliance:
First, Soft Body Civilization offered almost no assistance to the Wandering Alliance.
Second, the biological form of Soft Body Civilization differed greatly from that of the Wandering Alliance, with vastly distinct living environments, making communication a challenge.
Third, the Wandering Alliance had a rather negative impression of Soft Body Civilization. While surrendering wasn’t exactly something to be ashamed of, and they themselves would make such a choice if necessary, frequent surrendering posed a problem; constantly capitulating to stronger civilizations would foster a habit, and if the Wandering Alliance truly accepted Soft Body Civilization, it would undoubtedly become a weak link in the future, and Soft Body Civilization might even betray the Wandering Alliance.
Therefore, considering these three points, the Wandering Alliance refused the surrender request of Soft Body Civilization.
The moment the decision was made, Lu Chen of Constant Star ordered Earth Civilization to use Quark Decoherence to eliminate Soft Body Civilization and Planet Sea God, then he used Constant Star Wind to blow these microscopic particles into the Heliosphere as energy reserves.
Because the Wandering Alliance would not possibly let go of Soft Body Civilization, and even if they did, with Soft Body Civilization’s technological strength, they wouldn’t survive the Cosmic Crisis. They would just become resources for other civilizations. Therefore, the Wandering Alliance might as well be the ’villain,’ directly breaking Soft Body Civilization down into microscopic particles for storage.
After resolving the matters regarding the Electromagnetic Super Man and Soft Body Civilization,
Lu Chen of Constant Star finally had time to absorb the nearby expanding Red Giant Star.
Under the strong gravitational pull of Lu Chen of Constant Star, the trajectory of the Red Giant Star ahead started to change, gradually moving towards the location of the Wandering Star System.
When the distance between them closed to one light-year, the five planets in the outer orbit of the Red Giant Star were pulled away from its gravitational constraints by the gravity of Lu Chen of Constant Star and began to fall towards the Wandering Star System at a faster speed, ultimately crashing spectacularly into the Heliosphere. After colliding with and slowing down due to numerous materials in the Heliosphere, these five planets settled and began revolving around Lu Chen of Constant Star under gravitational constraint.
Meanwhile, the Red Giant Star continued its journey towards the Wandering Star System.
When the distance reduced to half a year, the outer gaseous materials of the Red Giant Star also began to escape its gravitational constraints under the strong gravitational pull of Lu Chen of Constant Star, pouring into the Heliosphere like billowing red smoke.
From a cosmic perspective, this scene resembled the peeling of the Red Giant Star, as layer upon layer of its red atmosphere was forcibly stripped away.
Since the Red Giant Star contained a small amount of Hydrogen Elements and predominantly other elements, which were more complex to separate, Lu Chen of Constant Star did not absorb the hydrogen gas directly but instead injected it all into the Heliosphere.
Under such circumstances, as the Red Giant Star neared the Wandering Star System and its size diminished, once the outer atmospheric layers were completely plundered, only a high-density Helium Element Star Core remained. With the loss of a substantial amount of its atmosphere, the outer nuclear fusion reaction came to an abrupt halt, reducing it to a dim and dark Star Core. However, because this Star Core was a remnant of a Red Giant Star and had a mass far greater than that of a typical planet, directly sending it into the Heliosphere could cause significant impact. Thus, Lu Chen of Constant Star first used Quark Decoherence to decompose the Star Core into a Quark State, before absorbing it into the Heliosphere.
Crackle and pop!
As a torrent of Quark State particles rushed into the Heliosphere like a downpour, they experienced intense friction with some of the gases and dust there, creating numerous lightning fields. From a high vantage point, it seemed like the entire Heliosphere had entered the thunderstorm season of midsummer, twinkling with dazzling Electron Clouds.
Having completely absorbed this Red Giant Star System, the mass of the Wandering Star System increased by over thirty thousand Constant Star Masses, which was the total mass of the Red Giant Star System. It has now become a part of the Wandering Star System.
"Demon Star, we’ve observed a nebula..."
Just then, Lu Chen of Constant Star received a message from a scientific team within the Wandering Base.
After getting to know the situation, Lu Chen of Constant Star learned the details. It turned out this scientific team had observed a massive Star Nebula situated thirty thousand light-years away. According to the observational data, this Star Nebula had a mass of at least one million Constant Star Masses, formed by a sequence of Supernovae explosions nearby. The nebula’s overall shape somewhat resembled a bundle of crimson flames, hence the scientists named it the Flame Nebula.
Under normal circumstances, the Wandering Alliance, especially upon discovering vast quantities of material, would undoubtedly go to plunder.
This time, however, was different. The scientists noticed that the location of the Flame Nebula did not lie close to their course, with an angular deviation of 80 degrees from their flight path. If they wanted to plunder it, they would have to alter their course. Moreover, due to the vast distance, their understanding of the specific situation within the Flame Nebula was incomplete, carrying certain risks. Therefore, the scientific team reported to Lu Chen of Constant Star, primarily to seek his final decision.
