Wandering Meteor
Chapter 441 - 440: The Second Battle of Bove
CHAPTER 441: CHAPTER 440: THE SECOND BATTLE OF BOVE
It turned out that the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance had almost simultaneously discovered the existence of the Heavenly Nebula.
However, the Fermi Civilization had taken a step ahead and ventured into the Heavenly Nebula to investigate, unexpectedly discovering a number of native civilizations — that is, civilizations born and evolved within the Heavenly Nebula, much like the indigenous people discovered by Earth Civilization during the Age of Exploration on some new continent, the same concept.
At that time, the Fermi Alliance intended to subjugate these native civilizations to naturally become the rulers of the Heavenly Nebula.
However, just as the Fermi Alliance successfully subdued the native civilizations and were returning home, the Bose Alliance, not wanting to be passively positioned in the struggle for the Heavenly Nebula, executed a raid plan, annihilating all the native civilizations subdued by the Fermi Alliance.
At this time, the Bose Alliance’s own search forces also discovered a native civilization within the Heavenly Nebula, so the Bose Alliance planned to quietly subjugate it, earning themselves a significant advantage in the contest for the Heavenly Nebula.
Only, a civilization being such a considerable target, the Fermi Alliance inevitably discovered the Bose Alliance’s actions. Angered by the thought of their own subjugated civilizations being destroyed, the Fermi Alliance grew increasingly irate and certainly not willing to let the Bose Alliance possess a native civilization, resulting in the Fermi Alliance also deciding to carry out a raid.
This is the grudge and struggle between the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance over the contest for the Heavenly Nebula.
Afterward, the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance commenced the first Bose-Fermi War over the Heavenly Nebula. To avoid dispersing the hydrogen mass within the nebula due to the war, both civilizations tacitly agreed to fight outside of the nebula, and each side strenuously prevented the other from re-entering the Heavenly Nebula. Thus, after the first Bose-Fermi War came to an end, the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance formed the current standoff of mutual caution.
However, at this moment,
With the simultaneous deaths of survivors from the Desert Sea and Forest Sea Civilizations, they became the fuse between the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance, neither side believing the other’s one-sided "lies," and, with hatred and prejudice, insisted on holding the other accountable. Thus, the temporary standoff formed after the first Bose-Fermi War was broken, and it was highly possible that a second Bose-Fermi War would erupt.
Only, the righteously indignant and emotionally charged Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance could never have imagined that their survivors were actually attacked by another alliance of civilizations.
And as for the instigators of this matter, the Wandering Alliance and Constant Star Lu Chen were completely unaware of the affairs between the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance. After Constant Star Lu Chen absorbed the debris from the scene, he had the scientists at the Wandering Base begin researching the captured people of the Desert Sea Star and Forest Sea Star. Their biological structures were one thing, but the memory information had to be extracted — whether it be the intelligence on the Anti-Neutron Star, or the power dynamics behind these two civilizations, it was all extremely important to the Wandering Alliance.
After the scientists’ research, the intelligence on the people of the Desert Sea Star and the Forest Sea Star finally unfolded before the Wandering Alliance.
First came the biological structures of the Desert Sea and Forest Sea Civilizations. The biological structures of these two different aliens were not beyond the imagination of the Wandering Alliance like those of the Wa Star People, and were relatively ordinary. The only special aspect was that the Desert Sea Star People had a layer of fine yet sturdy scales that could be flexibly adjusted. Coupled with their pointed heads and agile hands and feet, the Desert Sea Star People could freely roam the deserts, a natural skill for every one of them born of the species.
As for the unique characteristics of the Forest Sea Star People, they had thick fur to cope with the frequent cold air at high altitudes. Their hands and feet all had very sharp claws, mainly because the Forest Sea Star People lived year-round atop the forest canopy, and needed very sharp and solid claws for climbing. In addition, on the back sides of their arms were a pair of very broad wing-like limbs, which they used for high altitude gliding. Therefore, the Forest Sea Star People were born with exceptional climbing skills and gliding abilities.
Of course, these pieces of information were not important. What Constant Star Lu Chen truly cared about was their memory information.
After extracting the memories from the people of the Desert Sea Star and Forest Sea Star, the Wandering Alliance finally knew the intelligence they sought through in-depth research.
The first piece was about the origins of the Anti-Neutron Star. According to the memories of the people of the Desert Sea Star and the Forest Sea Star, they were patrolling safely at first, with no intentions of expanding their patrol to new areas. But one day, they suddenly received a strong electromagnetic signal, and following its source, they eventually discovered the Anti-Neutron Star.
Therefore, both the Desert Sea Civilization and the Forest Sea Civilization were unaware of the origins of the Anti-Neutron Star.
The Wandering Alliance, however, by combining their memories with their own analysis confirmed one thing: at least that the Anti-Neutron Star hadn’t been in the vicinity to begin with. Otherwise, the Desert Sea Civilization and the Forest Sea Civilization, constantly patrolling nearby, should have received the high-energy electromagnetic signals much earlier, but instead, they suddenly detected them. This suggested that the Anti-Neutron Star must have appeared suddenly at that location, which somewhat endorsed the Wandering Alliance’s speculation that the Anti-Neutron Star was very likely something left behind by some Antimatter Civilization.
Although this hadn’t been definitively confirmed, Constant Star Lu Chen still solemnly warned all members of the Wandering Alliance that the journey ahead might not be as smooth as before, and could very well be filled with dangers and thorns. He urged all members to be psychologically prepared.
One more factor added to the seriousness.
That was the second important piece of information in the memories of the people of the Desert Sea Star and the Forest Sea Star.
The Wandering Alliance learned from their memories that they belonged to the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance, respectively, and that the leaders of these two alliaces were the Bose Civilization and the Fermi Civilization. Both of these civilizations were long-established Level 4 Civilizations and had built their own alliances with themselves at the core; they were exceptionally powerful, which was not good news for the Wandering Alliance.
The only possibly good news was that the Bose Civilization and the Fermi Civilization were sworn enemies, fighting for billions of years and considering each other as their greatest adversaries. This could be an opportunity for the Wandering Alliance to exploit.
Besides that, the Wandering Alliance made another unexpected discovery.
They found out about the existence of the Heavenly Nebula from the memory information, and its location was nearby on the upcoming route. Facing such a nebula that had the mass of hundreds of millions of Constant Stars, the Wandering Alliance encountered it for the first time. To be more assured in the Cosmic Crisis, the Wandering Alliance also decided to join the contest for the Heavenly Nebula. This is why the Wandering Alliance thought it advantageous for themselves that the Bose Civilization and the Fermi Civilization were sworn enemies, because the Wandering Alliance subconsciously saw these two civilizations as formidable opponents!
