To Rhodes, if the birth of the death god would threaten his child and wife, he'd naturally stop it. But from Isha's explanation, the Eldar death god seemed to be more complicated.

"The current death god in the material universe is a Warp entity summoned by Eldar prophets from the souls of the dead. Not a traditional death god. Eldar gods don't just represent the Eldar—they were the strongest and most psychic race at the time.

But in these millennia, humanity has far surpassed the Eldar in supplying psychic energy to the Warp.

The true Eldar death god would be born from within Slaanesh. That's the only way he could slay Slaanesh. But to do this, all Eldar gods and members would have to be sacrificed, even massive human casualties, for the death god to emerge from Slaanesh and become the true universal death god.

He would then merge with the monster sealed by the Emperor, giving birth to the true Dark King.

The birth of the Dark King means the end of the universe," Isha explained.

It was a complicated matter. Though now all were separate beings, if the prophecy came true, they would unconsciously merge, birthing the Dark King.

"So, what exactly is the death god summoned by the five Blades of the Crone?" Rhodes asked.

So all the Ynnari's efforts were a joke to the Chaos gods? Was the death god's power not as great as rumored?

"Created in another way, his power is far weaker than Slaanesh. I can tell you for sure: the death god summoned by the five swords is no match for Slaanesh," Isha said.

If it were that easy, the Laughing God Cegorach, who knows all the universe's secrets, would have acted long ago. His ultimate joke is just to fool mortals. The true death god must be born from Slaanesh; so Slaanesh will not let the Eldar go extinct.

He will raise them like livestock, harvesting them regularly, not all at once.

If Slaanesh could be killed so easily, the Emperor would have helped long ago—the benefits for humanity would be too great.

"So all the Ynnari's efforts are ultimately futile. Even if they gather the five swords, it's useless," Rhodes said.

No wonder! If the death god were as strong as rumored, then as his prophet—

Yvraine, while powerful, still seemed lacking.

At least you'd need someone at primarch level, maybe able to defeat a primarch, to be worthy as a prophet for such a mighty god.

"Not entirely useless. If this special death god is born, he can suppress the emergence of the real death god. He can also act as a check against Slaanesh—Slaanesh won't dare kill him, because as long as he lives, the real death god can't be born from him.

This incomplete death god is a good counterweight to the Chaos gods," Iisha explained.

"I see! If we revive the Eldar god of war, the Chaos gods' attention will be fully drawn to these two," Rhodes said, hugging Isha's naked body.

"Exactly. Some things must be done.

Once our child is born and fully grown, neither the Warp nor reality will need to fear the Chaos gods.

Our child will be their equal, maybe even superior due to having a physical body," Isha said.

If he gains enough divine authority, their child may suppress the Chaos gods. But it all depends on the future.

They had created the best conditions for the child's birth—now it depended on what divine authority the child would master.

So, Rhodes, you must work hard!

Once more, Isha coiled herself around Rhodes like a snake and said:

"Come do your homework, dear. For our future, you must work twice as hard!"

"Of course—bring it on!" Rhodes said.

For the last three days of the journey, Rhodes worked especially hard, knowing he'd have 24 hours of rest to deal with the Space Wolves's issues.

After that, he'd return to continue providing nutrients and genetic material, and open a warp portal for his son's energy.

Rhodes' small fleet finally reached the Space Wolves' homeworld, Fenris.

Rhodes finally left Isha's chamber. After three days of non-stop genetic and warp energy transfer, Isha fell into a 24-hour sleep, letting Rhodes rest.

Now, the goddess's belly—or rather, Lelith's—was slightly rounded!

A powerful life was growing inside!

The Space Wolves' homeworld is a death world with the harshest possible living conditions, a land of ice and snow, even harsher than Glacia near the Eye of Terror.

The storms were fiercer and terrifying monsters roamed the land.

Most famous were the Fenrisian wolves, the Space Wolves' favorite mounts. Their origin was debated, but it was certain they were brought by human colonists, not native to the planet.

All Space Wolves are born on this planet, rarely recruiting from elsewhere.

The Space Wolves are unique among all chapters: they have no successor chapters. They once formed the Wolf Brothers, but gene-seed and homeworld problems forced their disbandment.

Thus, the Space Wolves' scale rivals the Black Templars, making them a super-chapter.

They're organized by great companies, twelve currently, though there should be thirteen—one is said to be lost in the Warp.

Each company has at least 300 marines, some more than 400.

Space Wolves have no Chapter Captain—their company captains are called Wolf Lords.

The Chapter Master is the Great Wolf, who commands his own company, essentially holding both captain and chapter master titles.

The current Great Wolf is Logan Grimnar, who's held the post for over 700 years!

He served long in the chapter before becoming Great Wolf, ranking just below Dante of the Blood Angels in seniority.

"Dres, why were you exiled to the Deathwatch?" Rhodes asked the Space Marine beside him.

Dres was among the first Space Marines to follow Rhodes, once a Space Wolf, but for unknown reasons joined the Blackshields under Titus.

He then adopted Rhodes' gene-seed and became a captain under Rhodes.

Returning home, Rhodes brought this former Space Wolf with him.

"For many things. I couldn't control my bloodlust and slew civilians, so I was exiled by the pack and renounced all my honors," Dres said.

"But you still remember your honors. Every time we fought in Deathwatch, you'd shout 'For Fenris eternal!'—until you took Lord Rhodes' gene-seed. Now our motto is 'For the Emperor, for Father Rhodes!'" Titus said.

"Let's go! Let's see your homeland. I imagine many will come to greet us," Rhodes said, landing his medium-sized ship on Fenris.

A massive army awaited, some 3,000 Space Wolves mounted on Fenrisian wolves.

Rhodes led 20 Custodes and his new bodyguard squad, over a hundred men, off the ship.

At the sight of the Custodes, the Space Wolves were stunned!
