CHAPTER 31: JUST A TEST! 2

"You could have just driven all the way to the house..." Elias pointed at the car that was driving away.

"Why?" He asked. "You don’t want me walking with you?"

"My apologies..." Elias lowered his head and started walking. Viktor followed beside him.

For the first few minutes, neither man spoke. Viktor stared at Elias in a way that made the silence loud. Elias pretended not to notice Viktor’s glare at him. He just stared at the marbled floor and streetlight as he walked faster.

"Where did you go?" Viktor asked after a long time. The voice was flat. His eyes were on the road but they flicked to Elias and back again.

"To the hospital," Elias said. "To see my sister."

Viktor’s mouth pulled into a small, knowing smile.

"I see. It’s the hospital,"

He didn’t believe him, as usual, but he didn’t ask any more questions.

They were almost home when Viktor said,

"Do you know why I’m getting married?"

Elias frowned, as he wasn’t interested in where the discussion was heading.

"Because of family?"

Viktor’s face darkened in an instant. Then, slowly, he explained.

"Well, I killed a man," he said. "It was a fight. He was Clara’s brother."

Elias did not know what to say. He looked away, at the tall trees and the fence. Viktor continued.

"I can’t risk a family feud." He held the coat tighter around his arm. "My sons’ safety matters more than anything and... marrying Clara is the only way to maintain peace."

Elias felt a pang of sorrow in a quiet place inside him. He understood the need for safety and for family.

They reached a narrow path between tall trees. Viktor pointed at a shortcut.

"This way. We’ll get to the house if we follow here,"

Elias furrowed his brows. If he walked for another two minutes, they would reach the house, but by a shortcut?

As if Viktor sensed the look on his face, he smiled.

"I own the house. Trust me."

Elias should have been cautious. But he was tired and something about Viktor’s voice made him want to follow. He followed the path that led to a quiet forest. The air smelled of wet leaves.

"I don’t see any path..." Elias said.

"Oh!" Viktor uttered as he folded his hands. He looked up at the sky, as if drawing a breath. Elias kept his distance, though his legs felt rooted to the dirt. "Did I make a mistake? I wonder..."

"What are you up to?" Elias questioned as he took more steps away from Viktor.

"Nothing, Elias," Viktor replied, in a calm voice but it wasn’t able to convince Elias. "Just wanting to test something,"

"What test?" Elias asked and Viktor kept quiet. He didn’t know how to break the news to little Elias. He pulled his necktie from his neck and wrapped it around his hand.

Well, a few hours ago, he was at his therapist’s office.

He told his therapist about his wedding and how he felt whenever he was with his kids’ nanny.

"I feel weird and sick whenever I look at him," he first described.

The therapist, a man no older than forty, wearing a fake smile so he won’t get shot in the head by Viktor, cleared his throat.

"Sick? Weird? Can you be more specific, sir?"

"I feel something like a stomach ache," Was what Viktor said as his voice turned strange.

"So you’re saying your stomach rides in waves. It’s like... butterflies."

"I don’t eat butter-oh! You mean, love?"

Viktor laughed. The therapist tried his best not to send Viktor out of his office and just laughed with him.

"Love? I don’t love men... Not after what happened before,"

"Try a test. Stand in front of him. See how you would react.’"

.

And now, in the present... Viktor wants to try the test. Stand in front of Elias and see how he would act. If the so-called butterflies appear in his stomach again.

He got closer to Elias, grabbed both of his hands as Elias’s bag fell on the floor. Without wasting much time, Viktor wrapped his necktie around Elias’s hands and pinned them above his head.

"No... you’re not going to try anything, are you?"

"I’m sorry, Elias. It’s a test,"

"What fucking test? Don’t touch me!" Elias screamed, but they weren’t close to the house.

Elias didn’t want to get grabbed by Viktor but Viktor hadn’t even started touching him yet, yet he felt like his body was on fire.

Maybe it’s his heat.

Shame came again, but this time mixed with a prickly fear. Viktor cupped his face and forced Elias to look at his face. Viktor was not smiling now. He was serious, almost raw.

He was doing as the therapist said. Stand in front of him and see how he’ll react. Nothing was happening. Maybe because he couldn’t perceive that faint and sweet vanilla scent from his body.

"I won’t hurt you, Elias. I promise," Viktor said, still pinning Elias’s hand above his head with his left hand. His right hand left Elias’s face and slid behind him as he took out a gun.

He showed it to Elias.

"One thing I would never do is to take advantage of someone but I need to know my fate,"

"Your fate? If you wish to know your fate, why don’t you let go of me first,"

Viktor dropped the gun close to Elias’s leg.

"Once I take advantage of you... You can shoot me with it,"

"You..." Elias said, and Viktor leaned even closer, burying his nose into Elias’s clothes. But for some odd reason, he could perceive another Alpha’s scent on him.

’I knew it! He went to see another man, yet, he lied about going to the hospital to see his sister. Oh! Elias,’

Viktor gritted his teeth and slipped his hand up Elias’s hoodie. His hand brushed Elias’s hard nipples and he flinched.

"Fuck..." Viktor groaned. He thought of ripping the hoodie off his body, but it was too thick. He couldn’t perceive the vanilla through the hoodie, so his hand slid lower, groping his half-erected cock. Elias’s legs grew weaker as he started to pant hard.

’Wait! Am I supposed to be enjoying this? He’s just... He’s not even touching me that much yet,’

Elias thought to himself. He didn’t want to believe his body was reacting so much to Viktor’s touch.

"Master... shit! Wait..."

"I am not a kind man, Elias" Viktor said quietly. "I hate thinking too much about something. And when I try to think, I... I only think of wanting to be near you."

Elias should have pushed away, maybe grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger as Viktor had given him permission to. He opened his mouth and closed it again.

Viktor closed the distance, pressing his forehead against Elias’s, as their bodies pressed against each other.

"You drive me insane every time I think about you. Every damn day."

Viktor’s lips grazed Elias’s, barely a breath away. Elias’s heart thumped harder in his ribcage. Maybe if he surrendered to Viktor, it would be over soon and he wouldn’t have to trigger his heat.

If he gets caught here and his gender gets exposed, Viktor would be the one picking up the gun and pulling the trigger.

He felt Viktor’s cold hand brushing his chin and parted his lips.

"Keep it open," he said and Elias had no idea when he nodded his head like a good boy.

Viktor tilted his head, pressing a soft, desperate kiss against his mouth. Elias froze in place.

His first kiss. His first kiss was taken by his body. A fucking Mafia.

He felt a shocking feeling jolting his body as the kiss continued. Viktor’s body melted against him as he deepened it, his hands sliding to Elias’s waist, pulling him flush against his already hard cock.

"Tell me, Elias... Do you want me?" he whispered between kisses. "If you do, I’d cancel this engagement."

Elias’s fingers curled as it was still hanging above his head, trembling.

"I..." His voice cracked. "I’m not sure, Master..."

"Viktor..." He said, kissing Elias’s neck and a soft groan escaped from his lips. "Say my name,"

"Vik...,"

Before Elias could say the second syllable of his name, he groaned, capturing Elias’s lips again, hungrier this time. His lips trailed down Elias’s neck, biting softly, his words feverish.

"No wait..."

"You haven’t answered my question, Elias,"

Elias felt the weight of Viktor’s question. He thought of everything once again. Lila, the twins, and Clara’s warning. And also, the yearning in Viktor’s voice.

"I don’t know," Elias admitted. "I wish I had an answer."

He has no idea if Viktor would want him if he finds out he’s not a Beta, but an Omega.

Viktor’s eyes went sharp for a split second.

"Think fast," he said. "Monday comes soon. Everything will change as soon as I get your answer. If you wish to be with me, you will see the twins every day. If your answer is no... you..."
