When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster
Chapter 54: Successful Contract Signing
CHAPTER 54: CHAPTER 54: SUCCESSFUL CONTRACT SIGNING
"Uncle, I’m working at Prestige Group now, and I deeply feel the corporate culture here, which is truly unmatched by any other company."
"Of course, the main reason is that if you sign the contract with President Lancaster now, you can have a good time in Argent afterwards, can’t you?"
"Otherwise, you’ll be meeting one person today and another tomorrow, dealing with countless headaches, and risk offending people if things don’t work out."
At this moment, Adrian Lancaster admired her courage and couldn’t help but see her in a new light.
Regardless of the result, this girl was actually taking the initiative to help him, which was unexpected.
The middle-aged man nodded thoughtfully, "Makes sense." Then he turned his gaze to Adrian Lancaster, speaking gently, "Let’s do as Faye suggested, President Lancaster. Why don’t we sign the contract now?"
Adrian Lancaster appeared calm, but he was actually overjoyed.
He made a gesture, and another person in charge handed out two copies of the contract, which Mr. Mark’s attendant took and opened for him.
Faye Turner had completed her mission and stood up gracefully, "You guys talk, I’m going to the restroom."
She took the opportunity to slip away. As she closed the restroom door, her heart was pounding like a drum!
Oh my God!
She was an unrelated woman, yet because a small thought to help him crossed her mind, she expressed her opinion without regard for the occasion!
She had no idea what kind of project it was! She had even heard of the project’s name for the first time.
But fortunately, Mr. Mark agreed, and even Faye Turner felt like it was a dream.
She calmed her emotions in the restroom.
Since the decision to cooperate was made, the contract outside was quickly signed.
Adrian Lancaster kept glancing in the direction of the restroom, estimating the time, worried about why she hadn’t come out yet.
During the signing process, this man unconsciously devoted half his attention to her.
Soon, the restroom door was knocked on, and Faye Turner was startled, "Who is it?"
Was she leaning right behind the door?
"Are you okay?" Adrian Lancaster asked her, "Are you feeling unwell?"
"No, no." She hurriedly opened the door and met the man’s deep eyes, quietly asking, "Is it signed?"
He stood regally and calmly outside the door, nodding, "Yes." There was a gentle warmth between his brows, "The contract is signed. Mr. Mark wants to catch up with you. We’re heading back to the company. If necessary, I can send someone to pick you up."
"You’re... just leaving like this?" Faye Turner asked, "Not inviting him to dinner?"
"There’s a dinner reception scheduled, with other arrangements for hosting. Don’t worry," Adrian Lancaster patiently answered her, "He just wants to catch up with you now."
"Okay." The girl nodded readily, "Alright, you guys go, don’t worry about me."
Adrian Lancaster looked at her, filled with gratitude, but didn’t say anything here. Words of thanks could be said in private between the couple.
Faye Turner walked out of the restroom, watching Adrian Lancaster and the group leave.
"Faye."
The girl turned her gaze upon hearing her name, returning to the middle-aged man’s side, "Uncle, how’s your health lately? How’s your sleep quality?"
"It’s alright." Mr. Mark appeared relaxed, with a constant smile on his face, unlike his serious demeanor during work discussions. "Has Old Mr. Downey returned from his travels? I’d like to take the chance to visit him."
The girl shook her head, saying a bit sadly, "Not yet, it’s been a while since I last saw him."
"My mother’s illness was thanks to him back then, and now she’s completely recovered." Mr. Mark was also someone who would repay a kindness manifold.
