CHAPTER 60: CHAPTER 60: HERE TO COMPLAIN?

The two left together and entered the elevator without any communication.

When they got downstairs, Mr. Kerr greeted the couple, "Hello, President. Hello, Miss Turner." Then he opened the car door with a smile, and they sat in the back seat.

Though separated by the width of a shoulder, the handsome man and beautiful woman made the scene quite picturesque.

The Lamborghini headed toward the old house.

Throughout the journey, although they didn’t speak, Mr. Kerr couldn’t help but recall the morning when the president bought a necklace for Miss Turner. It felt quite sweet.

Someday, surely, they would fall in love with each other? After all, they spent so much time together.

Miss Dawson was now a thing of the past. Mr. Kerr was glad that the president was slowly moving on from the hurt and starting to accept other women.

The beautiful sunset poured through the window, delicately coating the man’s handsomeness and the woman’s grace with a layer of gold.

As the car entered the old house and parked in the yard.

Before getting out, Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner already noticed the two people playing chess under the camphor tree not far away.

In fact, one of them was Brandon Lancaster.

Faye turned her eyes and noticed Adrian Lancaster staring at him with a cool expression.

Quickly, Mr. Kerr opened the car door, shaking them from their thoughts, and they got out together.

The scene in the office that day when they kicked the door open and started arguing flashed through Faye’s mind again, making the air around her feel somewhat chilly.

"Adrian and Faye are back!" The old man was very happy, getting up with a full smile, intending to stop playing chess.

Brandon Lancaster glanced over here, the corners of his lips curved slightly as he turned and said, "Grandfather, I’ll head out first."

"Stay for dinner before you go!" The old man wanted him to stay, "The kitchen is already cooking."

But Brandon shook his head, smiling as he said, "No, I’m afraid I’ll affect this kid’s mood. I’ll come visit you another day."

The old man did not force him to stay, knowing the two brothers were at odds.

Brandon stepped forward, a faint mischievous smile on his lips, a bit nonchalant, deliberately heading toward Adrian Lancaster.

Adrian Lancaster, in a crisp suit, hands in pockets, looked straight ahead, walking neither quickly nor slowly toward his grandfather.

The brothers drew closer to one another...

Faye followed beside Adrian. Her eyes met Brandon’s; she was very puzzled. Who was he?

After all, she had witnessed that scene the other day, and since she and the man beside her were secretly married, well... some things might not be hidden.

Brandon narrowed his eyes slightly, also recognizing Faye as the girl from the CEO’s office that day.

But why was she by Adrian Lancaster’s side?

And with him returning to the old house??

The "Faye" that Grandfather just mentioned, was her?

As the brothers passed by each other, Adrian Lancaster’s face was cold, choosing to ignore him, not even glancing at him from the corner of his eye.

Brandon was full of thoughts about the woman by his side. What was her relationship with him?

This kid has a girlfriend now?

Soon, he got into the car and drove away.

Holding the steering wheel with one hand, he took out his phone with the other hand and quickly dialed a number, "Check Adrian Lancaster’s relationship status, as soon as possible."

Adrian and Faye arrived as promised that Friday evening, which made Grandpa very happy.

Like last time, the kitchen was busy, and after Brandon left, he took the topic with him.

Grandpa never mentioned him, so Adrian Lancaster didn’t know what he said to Grandpa after returning.

But whatever was said didn’t matter! It was over once ended! No amount of affection would work!

However, Faye was still puzzled about their relationship.

Half-brothers? Was Adrian the son of a stepmother? But why would the company be entrusted to him?

Nanny Warren came to the small building in the backyard, just stepping into the chapel, before she could speak.

Eliza Hayes stood in front of the Buddha statue, fingering the Buddha beads, eyes closed, "They’re back?"

"Yes." Nanny Warren stood still and respectfully answered, "Brandon Lancaster left, the young master and Miss Turner returned, and the old man is very happy."

But Eliza Hayes wasn’t happy at all and didn’t want to see him!
