CHAPTER 71: CHAPTER 71: PRESIDENT LANCASTER’S FIRST TIME

After Faye Turner ensured her safety, she thanked him again and prepared to hail a cab to leave.

Dustin Shepherd was worried and wanted to take her home, but she refused.

Faye was still in the stage of a secret marriage, so how could she let him know that she was married and living with Adrian Lancaster?

She wanted to achieve the most dazzling results in the ’Love at First Sight’ series through her own efforts.

Not relying on a man; she wanted to silence everyone’s gossip.

So, Faye left by cab, with Dustin seeing her off and feeling relieved only after watching her get into the vehicle safely.

But who could truly know how much he loved her?

Even just pulling her closer, having some intimate contact, or quietly locking eyes with her for a moment, would satisfy him greatly.

Dustin couldn’t comprehend why Brandon Lancaster was pursuing Faye Turner.

When Faye returned home, she walked out of the elevator, took a deep breath, and tried to calm her emotions, not wanting the man at home to notice anything amiss.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw the elderly figure inside, "Grandpa?"

"Faye, you’re back?" The old man turned his gaze upon hearing her voice, delighted to see her, "Come, come, come, Adrian is cooking in the kitchen. Dinner will be ready soon. You came back just in time to taste his cooking!"

"He can cook??" Faye was surprised, placing the bag she was holding onto the counter, "Grandpa, he even burns dumplings when he boils them!"

"Who are you talking about?!" Adrian Lancaster appeared at the kitchen door with a spatula in hand, "Three days apart and you see him in a new light! Go wash your hands!"

He, at six-foot-three, looked kind of adorable in an apron!

Faye was dumbfounded!

This was a far cry from the man who strategized and controlled the fate of countless people at the company.

"Yes, yes, yes, I’m the shallow one! Seeing you in a new light, seeing you in a new light!" The girl quickly corrected herself, smiling as she said, "You continue, do a good job! I’ll chat with Grandpa for a while."

The atmosphere of this interaction made Grandpa especially happy.

The old man held her hand and whispered, "I heard from Mr. Kerr that Adrian gave you a necklace. Why aren’t you wearing it? Is it because you don’t like it?"

"..." Faye wondered why such things would be discussed with him?

Not wanting her grandpa to overthink it, the girl quickly smiled and replied, "Of course, it’s not that I don’t like it. I like it, I really like it! Adrian picked it out himself early in the morning. How could I not like it?"

"Quick, show it to Grandpa? Let me see if his taste is any good!"

"Okay."

Faye walked towards her room, finding the old man rather amusing, managing everything large and small, and having complete control over Adrian Lancaster.

When she brought the necklace box out for Grandpa, he opened it directly, took out the necklace, and put it on her himself, "Since Adrian bought it, you must wear it. That way, he’ll be happy and continue to surprise you. If you don’t wear it, he’ll think you don’t need it."

When he finished speaking, the old man had already helped her put on the necklace, stepped back to admire it, and complimented, "It’s truly beautiful! This necklace is made to match you; no one else can carry this aura."

"Thank you, Grandpa." Faye blushed from the compliment and invited the old man to sit down, "I’ll go check if he needs help in the kitchen."

"Okay, you go ahead." The old man also wanted them to grow closer as a couple.

Once in the kitchen, she saw Adrian Lancaster learning to cook by following a video, with one hand holding the phone and the other hand on the spatula.

Was this Grandpa forcing him??

Several dishes were already cooked, "Let me carry these." Saying that, she turned with a plate and headed to the dining room.

For a man doing household chores, you can’t ridicule him; you need to praise him! You mustn’t dampen his enthusiasm!

Adrian Lancaster also felt quite accomplished, as it was his first time cooking, and it wasn’t as hard as he imagined. This kind of domestic atmosphere had always been what he longed for.

"Too much salt." Grandpa tasted the eggplant with green beans, commented straightforwardly, "The green beans aren’t cooked; you need to simmer them longer."
