CHAPTER 751: CHAPTER 751: TIME TO PREPARE GIFTS

Rachel placed a piece of fish in his bowl, changing the topic, "Alright, let’s talk about you. You haven’t been working overtime recently, squeezing all your work during the day, aren’t you busy?"

"It’s okay."

"Anyway, you must take care of yourself."

"Hmm, okay."

Following that, the atmosphere during dinner was very relaxed, with no heavy topics discussed, nor were parents or feelings mentioned.

It felt like a regular interaction between friends, a dinner gathering where the topic revolved around the child, both faces adorned with smiles.

"Daddy, daddy!" Little June in her walker, holding a rattle, kept calling out, grabbing Chase’s attention.

Rachel turned her gaze, looking at her daughter in surprise, then looked at the man opposite her and smiled awkwardly.

But the smile on President Fletcher’s face was one of happiness and pride!

"By the way, Rachel, I thought of a few gift ideas for your mom, maybe you could refer to them." He started speaking as dinner was nearing its end—

"Mom likes researching chocolate, scented candles, little novelties. As long as they’re exquisite she’ll like them, they don’t have to be expensive. She might not use them just keep them as decorations."

This gave Rachel some inspiration, "I can actually make those! How about I give it a try? Hand-making them adds a personal touch and makes them unique."

"You can make them?" Chase was curious, "That sounds great, give it a try."

"Yes." Rachel told him, "It might not impress your mom, but I have the intention. Once I finish, I’ll let you check them out and see how they compare to what your mom usually collects?"

Honestly, Chase was excited too, "Sure!" He was looking forward to seeing her craftsmanship.

Some girls are really like a book, each page turned brings new surprises.

After dinner, he insisted on doing the dishes, which Rachel couldn’t stop him from doing.

When The Great President Fletcher tied on an apron, he looked incredibly gentle as he said, "Actually, there’s no law that says household chores are only for women. Whoever is available does them, right?"

This was also his way of expressing his attitude towards sharing responsibilities in married life with her.

Unknowingly, Rachel felt closer to him.

"Yes, President Fletcher is right."

The two of them shared a smile as he started washing the dishes.

That night, Chase was reluctant to leave until it was late, only after putting June to sleep did she see him off at the door.

Under the gentle light, his dark eyes were filled with deep affection, as if carrying a thousand unspoken words.

She looked at him, feeling the longing even before separation.

"I’ll prepare the gift for Dad." He reached out to rub her hair, "Rest early."

"Okay." Rachel nodded.

He said, "Also, the braised fish you made was delicious. I want to eat it again."

"No problem." She leaned against the door, holding the handle, her smile gentle as she looked at him.

He added, "I want to eat it for a lifetime."

"Goodnight." Rachel felt sweetness in her heart, her lips curled up, "Drive safely."

Chase took a step forward and left a light kiss on her forehead, then waved goodbye to her.

That night, Rachel found it hard to sleep, her mind filled with his lingering image. She wondered if she had already fallen in love with him?

Night, in a certain villa.

The nanny was taking care of little Joy sleeping, while in the master bedroom, Faye, having recovered her figure, had just come out of the shower.

She was wearing a bathrobe, slippers on her feet, holding her phone and replying to messages while walking.

Adrian Lancaster saw her hair still damp and took out the hairdryer, "Faye, will you come over?"

"Hmm?" Faye, caught up in her messaging, turned to see him with the hairdryer.

So, she walked over to him.

Just as she sat in the chair, still replying to messages, Adrian Lancaster began blowing her hair dry.

Yes, it was Rachel messaging her for advice about making chocolates and scented candles, asking if she had any good ideas.

Rachel knew how to make them, but Faye was more professional.
