Chapter 778: Simple Little Happiness
CHAPTER 778: CHAPTER 778: SIMPLE LITTLE HAPPINESS
"Are you going to the company today?" Near the end of breakfast, Faye noticed that he was not wearing casual clothes, seemingly about to go out.
It’s Saturday today, and Adrian Lancaster wore a black suit. His heroic brows, deep eyes, and defined features complemented by the stylish suit made him even more charming.
No wonder recently the media said President Lancaster, nourished by love, is becoming more handsome.
"Recently, Oakhaven has been hit by a typhoon, causing incalculable losses. Major enterprises are donating supplies, and we’re no exception. I have to sort out the related affairs, even though Dustin is there, but... "
"Hmm." She understood. Donations can be a big or small matter; there’s always media attention, and no room for error.
"Let’s see what time you’ll be back today. I want to visit my mom," she said while eating breakfast. "If you can come back before noon, we’ll go back for lunch; if you’re returning in the afternoon, we’ll go back for dinner."
Adrian estimated the time, "Noon is possible."
"Great, then I’ll wait for you."
Before going to the company, Adrian specifically instructed the butler, "Prepare some top-quality ingredients; I’ll take them with me later."
"Okay, sir."
Then he directed the servants to prepare the essentials for taking the child out, like diapers, bottles, and toys...
"Alright, alright, you can leave now. I’m here," Faye urged him to go out. Before leaving, he held his daughter dearly and took a deep scent from her cheek.
So enamored by the baby’s scent, soft and fragrant.
When Adrian returned, it was almost eleven. He brought along some gifts as well.
As the servants placed the items the little princess needed into the car trunk, Faye saw the brand-new gift bags inside, "What are these?"
"Shoes for mom and our brother," he replied happily.
"You just went to buy them?"
"Yeah," Adrian proudly closed the trunk, "With my taste, mom and brother will definitely like them! Come on, get in the car, let’s go home for a meal!"
Seeing him so thoughtful, Faye was deeply moved. That’s her being good to his family, and him being good to her family too.
Because they love each other, extending that love to each other’s family.
Their mutual supportive love, the seamless marriage, is truly enviable.
Even though they’re married with kids, it’s still as sweet as when they were dating.
Seeing the couple return with the child, Chloe wrote happiness on her face, and at the door, took the granddaughter from her daughter’s hands, beams widely, "Joy has grown quite a bit these days."
"Yes, mom, she’s entering a growth spurt." Faye reported while entering the door, "She can turn over by herself now; loves this activity. So we don’t dare to leave her on the bed without someone watching, and she really likes to laugh."
"Growing up to be a cheerful girl for sure."
"Yes."
Adrian carried the bags inside, "Mom, when you have time, try on these shoes, just bought, see if they fit. The style is flawless, it’s the latest and very versatile, I remember your size is 36."
"Why are you buying shoes again?" Chloe smiled at him, "I still haven’t worn the ones you bought last time."
"I saw these shoes were comfortable, so bought them, you can alternate wearing them."
Just after putting down things, Adrian brought some ingredients over, heading straight to the kitchen, "You guys chat outside for a while, I’ll cook."
"No, no, no... Let me!" Chloe hurriedly handed the child to Faye, feeling for his expensive suit, any piece costing tens of thousands.
