CHAPTER 93: CHAPTER 93: IVY JENNINGS DOESN’T REGARD FAYE TURNER AT ALL

22nd floor, in the simple and elegant CEO’s office.

Dustin Shepherd was organizing files and checking data.

"Ivy Jennings, the CEO is going on a business trip tomorrow, and it’s my mom’s birthday. Could you accompany him?" he asked while busy, glancing at her, "The project is your responsibility, I’ll organize the materials and send them to you."

"You told the CEO?" Ivy was quite surprised and pleased.

"Not yet."

Ivy’s heart sank, thinking to herself, the CEO probably wouldn’t agree, right?

Actually, the one with concerns and burdens has always been her, Adrian Lancaster’s inner thoughts were not as rich.

At this moment, Adrian Lancaster happened to come in, Ivy turned her gaze to him for a moment, then returned to her workspace.

"CEO, how about letting Ivy accompany you on the business trip tomorrow?" Dustin said to him, "It’s my mom’s birthday tomorrow, she’s been eagerly waiting, and she called me three times today. I promised her to go home and have dinner with her after work."

Adrian Lancaster envied this kind of mother-son relationship, feeling moved inside.

He might never receive a call from his mom in his lifetime. Not to mention a call, he wouldn’t even get a smile.

Ivy quietly observed the CEO’s expression, afraid he might refuse.

Unexpectedly, the CEO said to Dustin, "Okay, wish Auntie a happy birthday."

"Thank you!" Dustin was delighted, then looked at Ivy, "Secretary Jennings, I’ve shared the relevant materials with you! Wish you a pleasant business trip!"

Adrian Lancaster didn’t explicitly agree to let Ivy go, but he didn’t openly refuse either, which made Ivy feel a bit happy.

Quickly, because of work, Dustin left with the materials again.

Ivy stood up and walked over to Adrian Lancaster, holding out a ring she had found, "CEO, your wedding ring." But when her gaze fell, she saw a ring already on his ring finger!

Adrian Lancaster looked at the ring in her hand, stunned for a few seconds, just as bewildered as Ivy.

His face darkened, Faye, that little brat? She threw it away?!

"..." Ivy didn’t quite recover, she had no idea what was going on.

How could there be two identical rings?

Just as Ivy was about to withdraw, he extended his hand towards her, "Give it to me, it was my wife’s carelessness that lost it."

Ivy returned the ring, obtaining an important piece of information.

His wife worked at Prestige Group.

Was it Faye?

This was picked up in front of the restroom on the 11th floor. After returning the ring, Ivy didn’t leave immediately but asked, "Is it Faye?"

She had an obsession in her heart, wanting to know who that lucky and, in her mind, detestable woman was.

Adrian Lancaster seemed a little displeased, looking up at her, "Yes, or no, what does it matter to you? Does it affect your work?"

Most likely... it was?

"I’m sorry." Ivy tried hard to suppress her inner sadness and turned back to her position.

But she really couldn’t figure it out, what was so special about Faye?

Even if she obtained a marriage certificate with the CEO, they weren’t familiar, right?

After all, on the first day the CEO took office, she had blurted out the CEO’s name in shock, and in front of so many people, out of place, indicating she was unaware of the CEO’s identity.

Ivy was shocked.

This wasn’t a normal romantic relationship, there must have been some agreement, there was no love between them.

Yes, there surely was no love!

One must acknowledge Ivy was very smart, with careful observation and calm analysis, she could basically deduce the conclusion.

So, there was still hope for her to take the position of Mrs. Lancaster, right?

How could President Lancaster tie himself to a woman who doesn’t love him and is unworthy of him?

Wait!

Ivy felt that as long as she worked hard enough, became excellent enough, ambitious enough, and had the patience to wait, she’d have the upper hand being so close to him.

If it were someone else, Ivy might be slightly anxious, but if the other party was Faye, Ivy didn’t even consider her a threat!
