CHAPTER 21: CHAPTER 21: NOT ALLOWING AN NAN TO REGRET

Thinking of this, An Nan fiercely pinched her wrist in a mess, trying to clear her mind. Her steps didn’t halt, though they were a bit unsteady, she moved quickly, wanting to leave the banquet hall as soon as possible. Otherwise, she would be the one embarrassed, so she quickly put down her wine glass and quietly left the banquet hall.

As the heat from her body became more intense, An Nan understood clearly that she had been drugged. The effect was strong, and she estimated that she wouldn’t have enough time to leave here. The only solution was to find cold water quickly to suppress the heat or find a man.

The only remaining rational thought still told An Nan that the latter was not an option; the former seemed more reliable. But tonight, she was going to suffer.

She couldn’t help but silently resent, who on earth did she provoke tonight, blatantly drugging her? Was it the Huo Family siblings who had already left?

An Nan didn’t choose to leave by elevator. She feared losing control suddenly and randomly seeing a man and forcing herself on him, so she chose the stairs where there were relatively fewer or no people.

The heat within her body grew more intense, her thoughts more chaotic and blurred, and her steps started to stumble, nearly tumbling down the stairs several times, but she managed to stabilize herself in the end.

Her hair was drenched with sweat, and the pilot’s jacket was tugged off and held in her hand. The white shirt’s buttons were undone two, revealing a beautifully shaped collarbone.

Lin Mubai had been following behind this wobbling woman, full of admiration deep inside. For someone with less self-control, they would’ve lost their composure long ago. Yet, she continued to climb the stairs with her last shred of sanity. It wasn’t hard to see she was an extremely alert and rational woman. Lin Mubai couldn’t help but question whether his decision to take advantage of the situation was correct. It was even harder to imagine if this woman would obediently stay by his side afterward.

Originally, he didn’t want to resort to such tactics. But thinking that this woman was three years older than him, didn’t people always say a woman worries about marriage after 25? If on impulse, she married a random bastard, what then? It would be too late to cry.

Just as Lin Mubai’s thoughts drifted far away, he saw the woman in front of him suddenly stagger, her body teetered, and she fell. He hurried forward in two or three large strides, tightly embracing her in his arms.

As soon as An Nan touched Lin Mubai’s heated body temperature, her last trace of sanity vanished instantly. Her entire body’s strength clung to him, and her hands unconsciously moved around his body.

Lin Mubai’s self-control collapsed at once, directly pinning her against the wall, kneading fiercely. Until the former was panting and the latter was in emotional turmoil did Lin Mubai let go of her in surprise. As soon as the comfortable feeling disappeared, the completely irrational An Nan entwined herself again, constantly chanting, "Give me, give me."

Saying this, she brought her red lips closer.

Lin Mubai lowered his gaze, his eyes heatedly fixed on the person in his arms, murmuring softly, "An An, I hope you won’t regret tonight. Even if you do, I won’t give you the chance."
