Whispers to the Soul: Surrendering to Love Snare
Chapter 23 An Nan Flees in Defeat
CHAPTER 23: CHAPTER 23 AN NAN FLEES IN DEFEAT
With iron blue anger, he quickly turned over and got out of bed, casually picked up the pants by the bed and put them on. He first searched in the bathroom in the room, then went to the dressing room. After confirming that there was really no one in the room, he quickly went to the living room, and still found no one. After searching the guest bedroom and study, he returned to the room quickly, found his phone, and just as he was about to dial a certain obnoxious woman’s number, his attention was drawn to a paper note on the table.
After reading the note, his originally iron blue face turned completely black, and the words he uttered were through gritted teeth: "An Nan, very good, very good."
Despite being so angry, he didn’t have the heart to throw away the paper note. Instead, he carefully folded it up and placed it in the drawer. Then, following the message on the note, he found a stack of bills on the bedside table. Lin Mubai’s eyes stared at the bills in front of him, and suddenly he couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
This An Nan, truly the woman he’s taken interest in, actually ran away while he was asleep. Running away was one thing, but she even left such a provocative note.
"Hey handsome, I’m very satisfied with your service last night. The service fee is left on the bedside table. When we meet again, just pretend not to know me, because I’m not going to be responsible."
This woman’s handwriting is just like her, a completely clawing little crayfish. Usually, she seems gentle and docile, but provoke her, and she’ll give you a vicious bite.
Lin Mubai could easily imagine that he had already been pulled into this woman’s blacklist, or perhaps she didn’t even know which corner of the world she was hiding in now.
But you can’t run away from the monk, nor the temple. He gave her his first time; could she not be responsible? Of course, the answer is no.
Originally, he was filled with anger because of that woman’s escape, which now dissipated. He didn’t plan on catching her right now, as he was preparing to catch a turtle in a jar.
Putting the stack of money and the paper note he held together, this was the first gift given to him by his beloved woman. Of course, it must be well-preserved, even if this money was his payment for service.
He wondered what the little woman’s taste was; after all, his esteemed Lin Mubai’s night was only worth this little? He should have left a check at least. If not, he could have sponsored her, right?
As long as the little woman was willing to accept, even if it cost him everything, he wouldn’t blink an eye.
An Nan awoke this morning in panic. She really didn’t expect such an unreliable "one night stand" kind of thing to happen to her. She instantly lost the courage to see who the man beside her was or what he looked like; the only thought was to leave quickly.
With legs weak and soft, she got out of bed, unable to hold back from cursing the sleeping man covered under the blanket. Had he never seen a woman before, being so forceful last night?
Miss An seemed to forget that it was clearly she who had clung to him last night, stripping his clothes.
Using all her strength to barely support her weak body, she couldn’t hold back from cursing three-word mantras again in her heart.
This damn bastard, never seen a woman before, what’s the point of being so forceful?
When An Nan picked up the clothes on the ground, she was almost brought to tears. The damn bastard had torn off all the buttons on her uniform. How was she going to deal with this? Troubled for a moment, her gaze swept around the room, then her footsteps went straight ahead, into a large dressing room, cursing capitalism in her heart.
