CHAPTER 24: CHAPTER 24: AN NAN’S ANNOYANCE

In the spacious walk-in closet, a series of men’s shirts, suits, shoes, watches, ties, and other clothing is neatly arranged.

An Nan took a simple glance at the clothing labels and found that none of them had any brand tags. However, judging by the fabric, each piece was a masterpiece. The only explanation was that these clothes were custom-made, and anyone able to customize their clothing must be someone of great status. Just who exactly is the man lying on the bed outside? His taste is quite impressive, granting An Nan a bit of relief; at least her first time wasn’t given to a completely undesirable man.

In her remaining memory, she bumped into him at the stairs in the Champs Elysees. Could he be a guest from last night’s banquet, or perhaps a staff member from the Champs Elysees, or maybe just another person?

No matter who he was, she didn’t want to confirm his identity, as there would be no chance of meeting again. Losing her first time to someone like this did leave her somewhat unwilling, but amidst the struggle and unwillingness, she decisively chose the latter. Marriage or love was something she had never considered.

In the closet, she quickly picked out a shirt to wear. As soon as she put it on, she realized that even though her height wasn’t considered short among women, the shirt still appeared large on her. This indicated that the man was at least 1.8 meters tall. Not bad, he wasn’t considered second-rate disabled.

In Miss An’s mind, anyone below 1.8 meters tall was second-rate disabled.

Rolling up the shirt sleeves and tucking the long shirt tail into her pants, An Nan told herself that she needed to leave quickly before the man woke up.

The thought of that embarrassing scenario made her want to cry. Drinking led to trouble; she vowed never to drink again. And cursed that damn Xi Shaoqi – why did he invite her to his birthday party? Had she not gone, she wouldn’t have had a one-night stand.

As An Nan reached the door of the room, a wave of unwillingness surged through her heart. She felt she shouldn’t let this man have it easy. She was upset, and she resolved to make sure the bastard who took her first time felt equally bad inside. If it was to be a one-night stand, at least she should be the one in control.

She turned back to the bedside, threw all the remaining money from her pockets into the drawer, then confidently grabbed a pen and paper from the drawer to write a few bold words before gleefully throwing it onto the table and leaving.

Young Master Lin, half-asleep, felt incredibly wronged. He didn’t want things to be this way. Yet any normal man with a woman they love in their arms wouldn’t be able to control themselves. So he was normal—actually, he was quite conscientious. If he had no conscience, she wouldn’t have been able to get out of bed. As Young Master Lin woke from his dream, he cursed himself unconsciously: "Pig-brained, you should have been a bit less normal; maybe then the woman wouldn’t have escaped from your bed."

Moments later, Young Master Lin accepted the fact that the woman had left. A hint of gloom flashed in his eyes, yet even more, he was determined to possess. Escape was good. The farther away she ran, the better. Otherwise, when he caught her, she’d be doomed.

Daring to treat him, Lin Mubai, as merely a gigolo, she should be prepared to face the consequences.

He would find the little woman, trap her in the world he gave her, and spoil her thoroughly until she never wanted to escape again.
