CHAPTER 224: 107 FLAME ISLAND (PLEASE BOOKMARK)
"Master, be careful!"
The Knight shouted, charging forward with his sword.
Before he could get close, his pupils suddenly dilated, and an extreme terror surged from the depths of his heart.
The figure in front of him, covered in tentacles, looked like a demon from hell, emanating an abyssal aura that devoured everything.
Darkness!
Death!
Despair!
...
Fear!
This terror instantly destroyed his reason, causing him to scream uncontrollably and wildly swing his broad sword.
But having lost his sanity, his swordsmanship was a complete mess.
Carl’s figure flashed; he reached out and swatted the broad sword away, then with a fierce squeeze, he crushed the Knight’s throat.
SWOOSH!
The phantom tentacles behind him stabbed forth in sync, like spikes, penetrating the Knight’s body.
SUCK!
The tentacles turned into straws, devouring the other’s life force and soul, which filled Carl with a sense of satisfaction.
In the blink of an eye, the robust Knight was sucked into a dry corpse by the tentacles.
PENG!
The tentacles flicked, throwing the dry corpse into the Swamp, and continued to pounce towards Anslot.
"Monster!"
Anslot kept retreating, waving his Magic Wand abruptly, causing numerous water snakes to surge out of the Swamp.
The water snakes wrapped around Carl’s body like dancing vines, moving with extreme speed.
HMPH!
Carl uttered a light hum, and the tentacles on his body suddenly swelled outwards.
PENG!
PENG! PENG!
The attacking water snakes were shattered in an instant, and Carl took the opportunity to rush in front of Anslot.
Fear Aura!
A dim halo fell. Anslot’s eyes flickered momentarily, then his gaze suddenly sharpened.
He actually withstood the mental shock.
It seems that every person has different resistances to the Fear Aura. Some are easily stripped of their reason, while others have the ability to resist.
Carl understood but was not surprised.
Initially, he, Lula, and the others had forcefully resisted the full version of the Abyss Giant Squid’s Fear Aura.
Although they were Great Knights, with resilient minds and bodies, it didn’t mean others couldn’t achieve the same.
Anslot, with his reserved nature, was similarly able to maintain a certain level of sanity under the influence of the Fear Aura.
Lesser Spell Force Field!
Guardian Waves!
...
Familiar fields, familiar witchcraft. What was different this time was that abilities Carl usually used against others were now being used against him!
Anslot was also a Natural School Water Element Wizard.
He had initially met Tim because they practiced similar Spells and could exchange expertise.
HMPH!
With a slight grunt through his nose, Carl’s momentum didn’t change; his speed actually increased as he charged fiercely towards his opponent.
The Great Knight’s burst of power allowed him to move as fast as lightning even when weakened by the Spells.
PENG!
The water globe summoned by the Guardian Waves was violently burst by him.
Dozens of phantom tentacles, baring fangs and brandishing claws, sprang out and completely enveloped Anslot.
HMM?
No!
Carl’s eyebrows shot up as he crossed his hands in front of him, and his tentacles instantly transformed into an illusory shield.
BOOM!
Anslot’s body exploded loudly, turning into a swirling water current that pushed Carl back frantically.
Zero-Circle Magic—Water Avatar!
Water Explosion Technique!
"Who are you?"
Not far away, the water converged and once again formed the figure of Anslot, his gaze icy cold as he stared at Carl, "Why are you here to kill me?"
"An Advanced Wizard Apprentice?" Carl was enveloped in darkness, his voice echoing through the area as if it came from hell, "You’re already an Advanced Wizard Apprentice!"
"Correct," Anslot, holding his Magic Wand, said coldly, "As early as a year ago, I was already an Advanced Wizard Apprentice. Are you... following the path of a Bloodline Wizard? Which Bloodline have you refined?"
Among the people he knew, several practiced Bloodline Magic, but he had never seen Carl in such a form before. Horrible! Ominous! Even just looking a few more times brought a chilling sensation to his heart. If it weren’t for his strong spiritual power and some resistance, he would have likely been killed on the spot like his guards.
"That’s none of your concern," Carl snorted lowly as a ball of firelight suddenly appeared in front of him.
Fire Dharma Seal!
BOOM...
The firelight, initially the size of a fist, suddenly expanded to the size of a basin and then turned into a Fierce Flame.
The Fierce Flame swept out in all directions.
Such an approach definitely could not threaten Anslot, but it could determine his body’s position. The Anslot in front of me is still a Water Avatar; his true body is still hidden somewhere.
"Futile."
Anslot’s face showed a cold smile as he slammed his Magic Wand into the ground, causing streams of water to rise from nowhere and turn towards the flames, "Whoever you are, you’re doomed. With this level of Fire Magic, are you an Intermediate Wizard Apprentice from Kolon or a fire-stealer?"
As an Advanced Wizard Apprentice, he was confident enough to take down the opponent.
HMM?
Before he finished speaking, a sudden sense of alarm surged in his heart.
Not good!
BOOM!
As Carl stomped heavily on the ground with one foot, the earth and the Swamp within a radius of several dozen meters shook violently.
Superior Dharma Seal—Earth Shattering!
The power of a weakened One-Circle Witchcraft erupted.
PENG!
The terrifying shock force instantly shattered the Water Avatar, and Anslot’s true form, hidden not far away, was also revealed.
Immediately following that, a dozen thick stone spikes burst from underground, stabbing towards him at an astonishing speed.
Water Wall!
Water rose out of thin air, causing the stone spikes to pause momentarily.
But it wasn’t just the stone spikes attacking; there was also the rushing dark shadow.
A wave of fear emerged from his heart, causing Anslot to panic, and his spellcasting faltered.
Damn!
Carl leaped high, pouncing fiercely, the illusory tentacles on his back already stabbing out in midair.
