CHAPTER 111: CHAPTER 110 ARE YOU INTERESTED IN OVERTHROWING THE INTELLIGENT GOD?
The Upper City coalition arrived far more quickly than anyone had imagined; just a day later, they had already reached the cave.
This time, Shaq and the others did not use the ambush tactics they had employed before, clearly understanding that the Upper City coalition would surely be on guard, and there was no way to use the same tactic twice.
But what surprised everyone even more was that, besides the elite psionics from the Upper City and the recruits from the Central City District, they also encountered a special enemy: the mechanical soldiers of the City Defense Army.
More than three thousand mechanical soldiers joined the battlefield, which formed the core troops of the Universal Giant Corporation in City No.14.
They were made entirely of titanium-tungsten alloy, capable of withstanding attacks from spiritual firearms, and their control programs were directly taken over by the Intelligent God, able even to simulate the attack patterns of psionics in combat, making them the purest machines of slaughter.
Logically speaking, such fearless killing machines should lead the charge at the forefront of the coalition, but this batch of mechanical soldiers was uncharacteristically positioned at the back of the coalition.
It seemed like their target was not to capture the Cave People but to guard against the twenty thousand strong elite psionics of the Upper City.
Tens of thousands of psionics from the Upper City entered from the cave entrance, beginning to gradually invade deeper into the cave.
...
In Cave No. Seventy-one, two hundred psionics from the Upper City and a thousand recruits from the Central City District entered this remote and impoverished cave.
The captain, Bewis, stared indifferently at the cave before him, the houses built with heaps of garbage, and the ragged Cave People glaring at them with eyes full of hatred.
Some in the psionics team showed signs of displeasure, and one psionic with green-dyed hair said viciously:
"We are here to liberate these wretches, yet they dare to resent us without knowing what’s good for them; I suggest we give them a severe lesson."
"I agree with this proposal."
"At this point, and they still can’t figure out their own status."
However, as the captain, Bewis just shook his head, his voice calm as he said:
"Capture them with restraint devices and send them to Heaven Computation Center, try not to hurt them."
Bewis’s words immediately triggered dissatisfaction from the green-haired psionic, who shouted loudly: "Bewis, what do you mean by this? Are you sympathizing with these wretches?"
Bewis merely laughed coldly: "I’m not sympathizing with them; I’m sympathizing with our future selves.
They are being taken to Heaven Computation Center in disgrace today, and our future might not be any better than theirs."
As his words fell, many psionics from the Upper City present looked extremely displeased.
Most of their families were participants in that chaos; although the news was blocked externally, how could they not know the schemes of the Intelligent God?
Everyone will enter the Heaven Computation Center; it is an ironclad fact, and no one can escape it.
But in the Upper City, the surveillance controlled by the Intelligent God is everywhere, and no one dares to discuss related matters.
Once inside the cave, the surveillance by the Intelligent God vanished, and no one had any reservations anymore.
The green-haired psionic apparently also understood this point, but as a person from the Upper City, he couldn’t allow himself to end up the same as these wretches, so he merely replied stubbornly:
"Even in a world created by God, there must be classes.
Once we enter, we will still be at the top of society, completely different from these muddle-headed wretches!"
Bewis’s gaze swept coldly over the green-haired psionic, his tone indifferent as he left a remark.
"All are captive livestock; do we need to differentiate status among them?"
As his words fell, not waiting for the green-haired psionic to respond, Bewis waved his hand to commence the capture of the Cave People.
Without the obstruction from the psionics of the Lower City District, the capture proceeded very smoothly, and the coalition quickly reached the center of Cave No. Seventy-one.
There stood a massive castle-like structure, and standing outside, Bewis could even hear the rumbling machinery inside.
Through inquiries from the Cave People, Bewis learned that it had once been an underground pharmaceutical factory, closed for several years now.
Just a few months ago someone had rented the underground pharmaceutical factory and restarted operations; transportation vehicles were frequently seen around the factory.
"A few months ago? Underground pharmaceutical factory?"
Bewis’s eyes flickered.
Since the last failed campaign against the cave, he had investigated the Lower City District’s situation, knowing clearly about a special Nine Dragon Power Potion circulating there.
The Nine Dragon Power Potion, when used with inferior spiritual energy potions, not only lacked side effects but also enhanced spiritual energy absorption, causing the user to naturally transform into a psionic.
The Upper City naturally has similar technology, but due to its high cost, it is not practical and was long abandoned by the Upper City people.
Yet the Lower City had developed such a special potion, and at a cost far lower than that of the Upper City, fostering tens of thousands of psionics for the Lower City.
So when the underground pharmaceutical factory was mentioned, he instinctively connected it with that miraculous Nine Dragon Power Potion.
However, after a quick gaze at the building, Bewis shook his head disappointedly.
This building was too rundown, whether in scale or the spiritual energy transmission system, it could only be considered a small workshop, impossible to produce any high-end potion.
Approaching the front entrance of the pharmaceutical factory, Bewis was about to lead the team to forcibly enter.
But at this moment, the rusty door surprisingly opened slowly from the inside, revealing a psionic with an exceptionally muscular right arm.
"Mr. Bewis, my boss would like to discuss a business deal with you."
Quentin looked at the psionic troops in front of him, with no fear in his eyes, but rather spoke cheerfully.
Bewis frowned, not speaking, and the next moment, a chilling and powerful aura erupted from the underground pharmaceutical factory.
"Upper-Rank psionic!"
Bewis’s pupils contracted suddenly, almost kneeling under the heavy pressure.
Glancing around at the other team members, Bewis realized that everyone else showed a uniform dazed expression, seemingly having their souls taken, completely unaware of what was happening to him.
Clearly, the other party’s abilities completely exceeded his understanding.
Bewis exerted effort to suppress the tumult within him; given the strength of an Upper-Rank psionic, it would be easy to kill everyone present.
Yet the other party hadn’t done so and willingly extended an invitation, clearly having a reason to want him inside the pharmaceutical factory.
Thinking of this, Bewis said to Quentin:
"Lead the way."
As soon as he spoke, the heavy pressure dissipated instantly, and Quentin led Bewis into the underground pharmaceutical factory.
Inside the factory, Bewis met Lu Yan, who had changed back into a blue magic robe.
He sat cross-legged at the center of the Array, his expression solemn like a deity, while a fearsome deity ten meters tall exuded a chilling aura beside him.
He gazed quietly at Bewis and spoke softly:
"Mr. Bewis, are you interested in overthrowing the Intelligent God?"
