Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back
Chapter 193: I Didn’t Expect President Hawthorne’s Ex-Wife to Be So Beautiful
CHAPTER 193: CHAPTER 193: I DIDN’T EXPECT PRESIDENT HAWTHORNE’S EX-WIFE TO BE SO BEAUTIFUL
Tanya Sinclair returned to the private room.
This time, until the dinner ended, President Pierce didn’t appear again.
Overall, tonight’s dinner was enjoyable, and many colleagues got drunk, so they arranged designated drivers to take them home early.
Tanya also had a few drinks, but fortunately, Belinda didn’t drink.
When the two were about to leave, Tanya was called over by the deputy manager, who first praised her abilities, then subtly began to inquire about her relationship with President Pierce.
Tanya, feeling helpless, could only say: "President Pierce and I knew each other from college. We’re just old classmates, nothing more, absolutely no other relationship."
Upon hearing they were just old classmates, the deputy manager was finally relieved, patted Tanya on the shoulder, and exchanged a few polite remarks.
His driver arrived, and he left directly.
Belinda quipped from behind,
"These shrewd people, if you really were President Pierce’s girlfriend, they’d probably kneel to toast you."
Laughing and chatting, the two walked to the parking lot.
However, just as they exited the restaurant doors, on the steps, Tanya first spotted a few familiar figures, and the smile in her eyes turned noticeably colder.
Following Tanya’s gaze, Belinda rolled her eyes dramatically.
"Isn’t that your unlucky ex-husband and his mistress secretary? How did they cross paths here?" Belinda sharply noticed Cindy Lynn intimately holding Vincent Hawthorne’s arm.
She snickered, "Good thing I didn’t eat too much; otherwise, I’d throw up!"
Tanya withdrew her gaze and calmly said, "Let’s go."
Fortunately, Belinda’s car was parked on the other side, avoiding this group of people.
But just because she didn’t want to pay them any mind doesn’t mean they wouldn’t bother her.
Just a few steps down the stairs, Tanya was spotted by Vincent Hawthorne.
The bright red dress she wore was too striking.
Previously, Rhys Lucas had gone out and returned with a photo, showing Tanya willingly embracing a man!
The photo only captured the man’s back, his identity unknown, but the silhouette oozed an aura of wealth and status.
At the time, Vincent dismissively told Rhys Lucas he was being idle, but afterward, he drowned his discomfort in several drinks.
Divorced this morning, and already courting a new man by night!
Now, who’s the fool this time?
Since waking up, she’s never been short of men by her side!
Vincent’s eyes, notorious for their charm, were now cold, fixated on Tanya’s back.
But it was just Belinda by her side, no other man.
Vincent bitterly wondered if she hadn’t succeeded this time or if the guy was waiting in the car...
"Tanya!" Vincent suddenly called out coldly.
Unclear what prompted him.
This call was enough to draw all their attention to Tanya.
Cindy Lynn, linking his arm, maintained her composure, but her fingers pinched Vincent’s suit tightly in a moment of panic. Glancing at President Quinn’s unchanged expression, she relaxed.
Felix Kendall raised an eyebrow, his previously disinterested eyes lighting up at the sight of the red dress.
He squinted slightly.
Vincent, however, had already dashed over.
Of course, Tanya heard Vincent call out, but she didn’t want to engage, so she pulled Belinda to walk faster.
Yet before they could take another step, Vincent’s tall figure cut them off.
Belinda immediately shielded Tanya, glaring coldly, "What does President Hawthorne want? To harass your ex-wife is unbecoming, right?"
Vincent’s group also approached.
Rhys Lucas’s voice was grating: "Oh, Ms. Sinclair, leaving as two, leaving as two, seems like you didn’t score tonight, huh?"
Belinda was irritated, "You..."
Tanya secretly pressed Belinda’s hand from behind, signaling her to stay calm.
Tanya knew well how petty Rhys Lucas could be, and it wasn’t worth Belinda offending him on her behalf.
So, she decided to handle it herself.
Tanya met Rhys Lucas’s malicious stare, smiling as she sized him up from head to toe.
"President Lucas, you do appear human, but can’t you speak like one? We had a company dinner tonight, what did I need to score? Oh, looks like President Lucas often has side gigs at night, scoring outside, so you see everyone else as your colleagues in the trade?"
"Tanya!" Rhys Lucas turned livid at her retort.
Beside him, Felix Kendall chuckled to himself.
He remembered where he’d seen Tanya before, at The Dissonance.
Among the crowd of flaunting women, she had sat on a chair eating fruit.
Yet on that day, Tanya, obscured by dust and dirt, hadn’t caught much attention.
Only now did he realize her face was truly beautiful...
Though Cindy Lynn was already a beauty benchmark in his eyes, standing before Tanya, she somehow paled in comparison.
Hearing she was attending a company gathering, the unnamed agitation within Vincent eased somewhat.
Trying to say more, Felix Kendall suddenly stepped forward, offering his hand to Tanya.
"Ms. Sinclair, right? Felix Kendall."
Tanya: "..."
She skeptically glanced at Felix, with no intention to shake his hand.
Even though this man appeared affluent, being friends with Vincent and Cindy, she had no desire to make his acquaintance.
"Let’s go, Ms. Belinda." Tanya pulled Belinda forward. As they passed Vincent, she left a warning, "If you keep trailing me, I’ll call the police!"
Felix withdrew his empty hand, seemingly unfazed.
Watching Tanya’s back, he smiled with interest, "President Hawthorne, your ex-wife seems like a rose with thorns."
Cindy Lynn ground her teeth in frustration.
Felix Kendall was blatantly drawn in by that bitch Tanya!
Vincent glanced at Felix but didn’t respond. He turned to Rhys Lucas: "Rhys, you and Cindy see off Mr. Kendall and President Quinn; I remembered an important contract that needs handling. I have to return to the office."
"Vincent!" Cindy Lynn tried to hold him back.
"Be good." Vincent brushed her hand away and strode off.
He entered the car, and the white Bentley glided smoothly out of the parking lot.
Cindy Lynn stared resentfully at Vincent’s retreating direction, clenching her hand painfully!
"Cindy." President Quinn, a beat slow, suddenly recalled something, "What was President Hawthorne’s ex-wife’s name?"
Cindy adjusted her mood and turned to President Quinn, smiling, "Tanya Sinclair."
By this time, Rhys Lucas had left with Felix Kendall.
President Quinn recollected, "Before you changed your surname from your father’s, weren’t you also called Song..."
Cindy interrupted him, half-jokingly, "Uncle Quinn, don’t dwell on it. I’ve been using my new name for years! Let’s go."
