CHAPTER 202: CHAPTER 202: WISHING PRESIDENT POOLE AND MS. SINCLAIR ENDLESS ‘FRIENDSHIP’

Tanya walked out of the restaurant and went all the way to the parking lot outside.

She looked around but didn’t see anyone she recognized, so she shared her location with [Odyssey], and soon it synchronized on the other side.

Tanya followed the location to find the person, and on the map, the small dot representing the other person was also moving toward her.

The two small dots got closer and closer, and they were just around the corner!

Tanya quickened her pace, turned the corner, and looked out with a bit of curiosity, but it was empty, no one was there.

Looking down again, the other party had also exited the phone location.

"What the heck? Where is the person?" Tanya frowned slightly, a bit annoyed at being tricked.

Annoyed, she directly made a voice call over.

However, the ringtone rang behind her.

Tanya was slightly stunned. Turning her head, she saw a tall and slender figure of a man, walking toward her leisurely with the backdrop of the sky behind him; behind him, the horizon was filled with a huge, fiery sunset overwhelming the sky like a tapestry.

Tanya was stunned on the spot.

—Was it Declan?

She saw Declan pick up the incessantly ringing phone. At that moment, the waiting ringtone in Tanya’s ear was interrupted and replaced by the man’s low, magnetic voice, leisurely saying, "Tanya, you’re drooling."

Tanya: "..."

She snapped back to reality in a second and instinctively touched the corner of her mouth.

Dry.

"Declan!" She glared at him in anger.

The fragmented golden light of the sunset leaped in her eyes, so vibrant.

Declan stared at her without a single blink, hiding the nostalgia in his eyes very well.

"Why is it you? You’re [Odyssey]?" Tanya found it unimaginable.

He raised an eyebrow, "Why can’t it be me?"

Tanya took a deep breath, recalling how she had mistaken him for Daisy’s small account and told him everything, complained to him, and even... called him baby.

A surge of embarrassed resentment filled her heart.

"So, you painstakingly created a small account just to make fun of me?" Tanya stared at him, her gaze a bit cold, with traces of disappointment. She said, "Declan, I thought you were different from seven years ago. Turns out you’re still the same..."

The same boring, the same childish, the same wicked!

Tanya was about to leave with a cold face.

But just as she was about to walk past Declan, her arm was grabbed.

"Tanya..."

"What are you doing?!" She turned her face away in anger, and Tanya found that Declan had always had this ability; he could always easily provoke the worst part of her character that she wanted to hide.

So she simply didn’t hide it anymore.

She stared at Declan’s exceptionally handsome, yet extremely annoying face, coldly saying, "It’s after work hours now; you’re no longer my client, Declan. Do you still want to..."

"I’m sorry," he apologized softly.

The words Tanya was about to shout were abruptly cut off in her throat.

It felt as if she was building up a punch, and the opponent suddenly turned into a dough.

Declan released her arm in a restrained manner, his hand returning to his pants pocket, bowing his head slightly, stepping closer to her.

His shadow perfectly covered her.

"I didn’t mean to deceive you." He bowed his head in front of her, lowering his posture, even softening his tone.

He just didn’t know what way to approach her, so he tried everything.

Tanya: "..."

If Declan were the same as in university, unruly and shameless, she would handle it better.

But Declan, who would bow his head and admit his mistakes like an obedient puppy, suddenly left Tanya with no sulking ground.

She pursed her lips, took out the car key from her bag, and handed it to him.

"Your car, I parked it in my neighborhood’s garage; it’s already cleaned. The gas is also full."

He lowered his eyes slightly, "Mm."

Tanya was about to say something more when she was interrupted by a phone call.

Declan stood right in front of her, naturally seeing the caller ID clearly.

—Julian Poole.

The man’s ink-black eyes narrowed coldly, his tongue pressing sinisterly against his cheek.

Tanya answered the call, "Hello, Julian."

Declan kicked a nearby stone.

Addressing him by full name didn’t sound very polite.

"...Yes, I’ve seen the person; I’m coming back now."

While on the phone, Tanya turned and walked towards the restaurant.

After she hung up, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Declan one step behind, following her closely.

Tanya: "?"

Declan met her confused gaze, calm and frank, "What, still want to blame me for this meal?"

Tanya: "..."

She somehow felt that Declan was a bit... clingy.

But since she had already agreed to this meal, she had to bite the bullet and take Declan back to the restaurant.

The two waiters at the entrance saw Tanya go out, and in less than ten minutes, brought back another handsome guy, their expressions were even more brilliant.

If eyes could make noise, the two waiters’ gazes would be sending telegraphs.

Tanya, embarrassed, covered her face with one hand, walking very quickly.

Julian’s appearance was already eye-catching, but for someone as extraordinarily charming as Declan to appear, it was simply a bit over the top.

Almost the entire restaurant was giving him attention.

Caden scrutinized Declan seriously for a few more seconds, then took out his little notebook.

This one can’t be sprayed; this one’s looks score a 10.

But being too handsome isn’t good either; too handsome a man, untrustworthy.

Caden pondered a bit and deducted another 3 points for Declan aside.

When Julian saw Declan’s appearance the moment later, he stood up without needing Tanya to introduce them in the middle.

His eyes complex, his tone stiff, "President Pierce, you’re the friend Tanya invited?"

Declan smiled, "What a coincidence, President Poole, seeing you so soon again."

Do these two seem familiar with each other?

Tanya: "Are you guys collaborating?"

"Yes," Julian remarked, staring intently at Declan, "This afternoon, I just had a pleasant meeting with President Pierce."

Beside them, Kaj’s gaze swept back and forth between Declan and Julian, feeling more and more chilled.

Finished.

His uncle isn’t as handsome as the guy!

Declan sat down next to Tanya, looking every bit the part of the leading man with an easy familiarity.

As he cast his eyes down, he caught the probing gaze of Caden.

One big and one small, big eyes staring at small eyes.

Declan squinted slightly, fortunately, this little boy resembles Vincent Hawthorne only three-tenths, those eyes especially resembling Tanya.

After watching for a while, Declan inexplicably found this little guy much more agreeable,

He extended his hand, "Hello, Declan Pierce."

Caden folded his arms, looking at the large hand extending in front of him, contemplating for a few seconds, then solemnly extended a small hand, gripping one of his fingers.

"Caden Hawthorne, IQ is 192."

Height doesn’t cut it, intellectual prowess compensates!

Declan chuckled subtly, "Oh, a genius."

At this time, the restaurant manager came over holding a large bouquet of sunflowers, explaining helplessly to Julian.

"Mr. Poole, we searched everywhere, but this is the only bouquet for Ms. Sinclair signed with your name."

Julian frowned; he distinctly ordered roses flown in from overseas!

"President Poole has quite the eye," Declan unexpectedly complimented, "Sunflowers symbolize friendship best, suitable for you and Ms. Sinclair."

Julian: "..."

Tanya reached out to accept it, giving Julian face since he really went out of his way today.

"I really like sunflowers, thank you."

What could Julian say?

He could only maintain his demeanor, "As long as you like it."

Declan smirked, languidly stretching his long legs, leaning askance in the chair, exuding a noble aura, gazing at Julian’s nearly suffocated expression across the table, continuing to add fuel to the fire.

"President Poole is really thoughtful," He lifted his glass, his tone lazy, "So I wish you’re and Ms. Sinclair’s friend-, ship, lasts forever."
