CHAPTER 242: CHAPTER 242: SEAN LYNN TAKEN AWAY BY THE POLICE

Sharon Lewis’s face suddenly turned deathly pale.

How could he know?!

She had been very cautious, avoiding surveillance everywhere. The kitchen was monitored from every angle, leaving no place to poison, so Sharon Lewis waited until the hospital room to take action.

The surveillance in the hospital room was aimed directly at Old Master Sinclair’s bed; she had just added the medicine in a blind spot.

Even if Graham Vance saw her, she could still claim it was a supplement!

"Director, I’m being wronged!" Sharon Lewis calmed down, looking extremely aggrieved, "How could I do something to harm Old Master Sinclair? I’ve worked here for so long, don’t you trust me?"

Just then, the bathroom door opened, and a clear, sharp voice came through.

"So you’re saying you’re completely innocent?"

Sharon Lewis jumped in fright, staring incredulously at Tanya Sinclair, who walked out of the bathroom.

"How can you..."

"How can I appear so quickly, right?" Tanya Sinclair smirked coldly, voicing Sharon Lewis’s thoughts aloud, "According to Sean Lynn, I shouldn’t be able to get here for at least forty minutes."

Mason Vance emerged from behind Tanya.

"You think you’ve figured everything out just because you’ve been here for half a year?" He glared at the malicious woman Sharon Lewis, his voice burning with anger, "It’s always been about what we wanted you to know! What you don’t know is that there are several secret passages leading to the outside from the sanatorium!"

Sharon Lewis’s legs grew weak, nearly collapsing.

She insisted stubbornly: "Ms. Sinclair, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t do anything..."

"Is that so?" Tanya’s face turned cold. She rushed forward, seized the bowl of soup from Sharon Lewis’s hands, grabbed her, and demanded fiercely, "If you can drink this bowl of soup, I’ll admit you’re innocent! Do you dare?"

Sharon Lewis’s face turned white as Tanya forced the bowl of soup to her lips.

Being a nurse, she knew that taking just one sip would spell her doom!

"No... I won’t drink it!" Sharon screamed hysterically, struggling hard, breaking free from Tanya’s hold, and charged towards the exit.

Tanya didn’t chase after her.

Because just as Sharon reached the door, she was pinned down by the police waiting outside!

Tanya had already contacted Officer Crawford, though she initially worried he might not be able to get in, but once she learned Declan Pierce had arranged it, Tanya was no longer concerned.

"I didn’t, I didn’t poison anyone!" Sharon Lewis continued to argue, but the next moment, she could no longer keep up her bravado, as she watched Tanya walk to what she thought was a surveillance blind spot, retrieving a miniature camera from a basket nearby!

From this angle, it definitely captured the entire process of her poisoning, clearly!

Tanya’s eyes pierced coldly at her: "Do you still have anything to argue?"

"..." Sharon completely collapsed.

This was a trap... a trap Tanya had set long ago.

She was played, no, rather Sean Lynn was played!!

Sharon Lewis stared hard at Tanya Sinclair, a woman seemingly fragile and weak, but now appearing terrifyingly formidable in her eyes.

Now, with the witnesses and evidence all present, the crime clear, Officer Crawford instructed his men to take her back for interrogation.

"Sharon Lewis." Tanya’s chilling voice followed, reminding her, "As long as you tell the truth and trust the police, no innocent person will get hurt."

Sharon paused slightly, looking back with a complex gaze at Tanya before the police took her away.

Officer Crawford stepped forward: "Ms. Sinclair, rest assured, I will soon uncover the real mastermind who instigated her to poison your grandfather. No matter who dares to challenge the law, I will definitely bring them to justice!"

Tanya had no doubts about Officer Crawford’s capabilities; she trusted his integrity even more.

"Thank you, Officer Crawford."

Officer Crawford glanced sympathetically at the old man, always seated there silently staring at the window, sighed, nodded at Tanya, and turned away.

"Miss Sinclair, have you really developed the medicine to treat Old Master Sinclair?" Graham Vance asked, his eyes filled with hope.

Tanya’s smile felt strained as she took the thin blanket to drape gently over her grandfather’s shoulders.

"Developing medication is not that easy; even the first batch of trial drugs requires three more months. I was lying to Sean Lynn." Tanya explained softly.

Mason Vance scratched his head, "Miss Sinclair, when did you know Sharon Lewis was Sean Lynn’s person?"

"On Old Master Kendall’s birthday, the day you were captured by his men."

Mason Vance was even more puzzled.

Graham Vance, however, realized it: "So, you deliberately messaged me that day, sharing your itinerary and asked Mason to wait at the intersection to prove your identity."

"Yes, the time I messaged you was during Sharon’s routine checks on grandfather, knowing you would always be watching nearby."

"If my guess was correct and Sharon is Sean Lynn’s person, he must know I’ve discovered the sanatorium. Given Sean Lynn’s suspicious nature, he would definitely have Sharon further monitor our interactions and report to him."

Graham Vance nodded.

"Exactly, that day Sharon had a small mishap, nearly dropping Old Master Sinclair, I was busy helping out and left my phone aside, later Sharon specifically returned it to me."

Mason finally understood.

No wonder Miss Sinclair arranged him so covertly that day; he didn’t approach the Kendall Family yet got caught by Sean Lynn’s men!

Mason was furious, "Sean Lynn is such a beast! Placing a Sharon Lewis beside us for so long! Luckily, the mystery person who brought us to care for Old Master Sinclair warned us over the phone not to reveal the secret paths here to anyone other than our father and the Sinclair Family members!"

Tanya: "..."

Looks like Declan suspected Sharon Lewis much earlier.

She was secretly glad that before she arrived, Declan promised her grandfather’s safety...

"Whoever that kind-hearted mystery person is, who took care of both us and the Sinclair Family, must have been greatly indebted by the Sinclair Family!" Graham speculated.

Tanya: "..."

She thought carefully, yet her only memories of Declan involved confrontation and slapping him twice...

What a coincidence, no gratitude at all, only resentment.

...

The Lynn family villa.

Sean Lynn was pacing back and forth in the living room, frequently glancing at the spare phone, anxiously checking the time.

It had been so long, Sharon Lewis still hadn’t replied!

Could something have gone wrong?

No way!

He had calculated every step, had planned everything half a year in advance; Tanya Sinclair was still in a vegetative state back then.

By rights, Horace Sinclair should now be completely dead!

Yet, there was no news at all from Sharon Lewis.

He knew everything about her husband barely hanging on and her son’s school and class, which he held as leverage over her, ensuring she dared not betray him!

Just as his anxiety peaked, a rapid knocking sounded from outside.

The servant opened the door, revealing a group of people standing outside.

"Who are you folks? Who are you looking for?"

Sean Lynn, hearing the commotion, walked over to see the leading man presenting a police badge.

His expression changed, hinting vaguely at something bad.

"Hello, we are police officers, this is an arrest warrant! We now suspect Sean Lynn of instigating murder, and are taking him in for investigation!"
