You didn’t accept my confession, why are you crying because I changed my mind?
Chapter 79
Chapter 79
In a BMW outside the university…
“President Zheng, did you seal the deal?” her assistant asked as she got in the car.
Zheng Hongxia was fuming. “What a goddamn joke of a school! Bunch of idiots!”
The assistant was stunned. “What happened? Didn’t go well?”
“They gave that location to a student for free!”
“No way. We came with money!”
“Exactly! Can you believe there are people these days who’d refuse money?!”
The assistant frowned in thought. “Could that student be Director Yan’s relative or something?”
Zheng Hongxia frowned slightly. “Is that even possible?”
“Think about it. Even if we took that money to rent the building, the payment wouldn’t go to Director Yan, it would go directly to the university.”
“Right, it obviously belongs to the school.”
“But what if that student is Yan Weimin’s relative? If he’s doing business, you think he wouldn’t give Yan a cut under the table?”
Zheng Hongxia suddenly came to a realization.
That’s right!
Even though she brought real money to rent the place, ultimately, none of it would land in Yan Weimin’s hands.
But if that student had some shady connection with Yan Weimin — be it family ties or mutual benefit — then renting it to him for free could easily mean Yan Weimin was getting a kickback.
“No, this can’t end like this!”
Her assistant looked over and asked, “But the building’s already given away. What more can we do?”
Zheng Hongxia smirked. “Dealing with a student? That’s easy.”
“Boss Zheng, don’t do anything rash!”
“Relax. I’m just going to post on University Town’s forum to expose their dirty dealings!”
Half an hour later, as the sky dimmed, Zheng Hongxia uploaded a carefully crafted post to the University Town forum.
[Exposé! College Entrepreneur Suspected of Bribing Teacher]
I’m the owner of a food business.
Recently, I planned to open a “Youxue Restaurant” at Shangjing University, to improve students’ dining experience — safe, affordable, and satisfying meals!
But I didn’t expect to encounter such dark undercurrents!
Just as I reached a preliminary rental agreement with the school, a student named Jiang (surname only) applied for the same location under the pretext of student entrepreneurship.
The teacher approved it without hesitation and gave him the spot I was going to rent!
This kind of action — violating the spirit of cooperation — is disgusting.
I strongly suspect there’s something shady going on behind the scenes.
They must be using student entrepreneurship as an excuse to occupy school property for free, then splitting the profits!
Part of it goes to business, part to bribes!
I hope students here will open their eyes and help me out.
Let’s demand justice from Shangjing University!
Please like and share my post. I believe in fairness and justice!
Here’s a selfie to prove I’m real!

With a long sigh, Zheng Hongxia poured herself a glass of red wine.
She didn’t care whether the so-called corruption was real.
As long as she stirred up trouble, the university wouldn’t dare give the building to Jiang Zhou.
Eventually, the small brick building would fall into her hands.
Maybe after this mess, she could even negotiate a discount!
She couldn’t help but admire her own cunning.
But thirty minutes later…
To her shock, Zheng Hongxia’s post was muted.
What is going on?!
Had the students lost their sense of justice?
I’d written such a passionate post, how could it be muted?
Puzzled, she opened the comment section and instantly froze.
“Damn, Jiang Zhou again? Delete the post and make peace while you still can!”
“You don’t know about the Ten Steps Ten Scams legend? Are you tired of living rich?”
“A true warrior. Absolute legend!”
“Someone actually dared to slander Jiang Zhou? I’ve lived too long.”
“Auntie, run. You’ll be toast soon.”
“Ask a student surnamed Fang, he lost over 500k in seconds!”
“There’s still hope. Delete the post while you can, don’t do anything stupid.”
“Just seeing ‘Jiang’ makes me tremble. Who would dare attack him?”
“I’m a forum mod. Auntie, please delete the post. If this spirals, even our forum might go bankrupt!”
“No matter how tough life gets, this ain’t the way to go.”
“He once sent even his own lawyer to jail!”
“You haven’t seen how terrifying he is. It’ll haunt you for life.”
“Mod here. Sorry, you’re muted. He’s beyond our league.”
Zheng Hongxia stared at the comments, stunned.
She couldn’t understand why everyone was so afraid.
Did Jiang Zhou really have that much backing?
No one dared support her, no one even dared criticize him?
She had been a university student once too. When had students ever feared someone this much?
Just then, her phone vibrated wildly.
Caller ID: Yan Weimin — Shangjing University Admin Director.
She laughed.
So what if students feared Jiang Zhou?
Surely the school didn’t!
Yan Weimin must be calling to beg her to delete the post.
Time for payback!
She picked up with a smug tone, “Hello, Director Yan. What can I do for you?”
“Ms. Zheng, did you post that thing online?!”
Zheng Hongxia, still gloating. “So what if I did? What if I didn’t?”
Yan Weimin sounded anxious, “If it was you, take it down immediately! If he sees it, I won’t be able to stop him!”
“Wait, what do you mean stop him?”
“You know the law? You know how to exploit loopholes? You ever seen the view from the rooftop?! I’m telling you, I don’t want Shangjing University back in the news!”
Now, she was stunned.
Director Yan didn’t sound scared of her.
He sounded terrified of that student.
“Director Yan, can you speak clearly? What’s going on?”
Yan Weimin took a deep breath.
“You know that student who called him a scumbag on the forum? He got sued for slander and lost 510,000 yuan. You heard of that?”
Zheng Hongxia was dumbstruck. “510k?! What the hell?”
“That’s because that student’s family was poor!”
“This… this isn’t something the school regulates? You just let a student run wild?”
“Regulate? Even Shangjing TV praised him, saying he was lawfully protecting his rights and deserved to be emulated!”
“No way. Director Yan, stop trying to scare me.”
“How about this. Delete the post now, and I’ll give you a new spot. Delete it, and we’ll sign the lease immediately!”
