CHAPTER 10: CHAPTER 10: DID HE TOUCH YOU

May hurriedly grabbed her wide-open shirt at the front, looking at the man she loved for five years with utter disappointment: "What are you doing, Adam, are you crazy?"

"I am crazy, driven mad by Vincent. Did he touch you last night? I haven’t even touched you yet, why should he?"

Adam’s eyes were bloodshot, and he suddenly grabbed May’s arm and forcibly kissed her.

"That’s enough, nothing happened between me and Vincent!" Looking at the man in front of her, who seemed utterly unfamiliar, May struggled desperately.

But she was too weak, and Adam, being strong and muscular, quickly gained the upper hand.

He did it right there in front of everyone, angrily howling while violating May, kissing her face indiscriminately.

May only felt immense shame. How could he do this, how could he act like this? Was this the Adam she liked, the one who swore never to force her if she was unwilling?

Just as the two were entangled, a black car suddenly stopped quickly by the roadside.

"Young Master Owens, Young Master Vance wants to see you and May, please come with us!" It was Jacob Jennings, Vincent’s private bodyguard, who got out of the car.

Adam was startled upon hearing Jacob’s voice, then immediately released May.

"What do you want?" He glared at Jacob in annoyance.

Jacob gave May a meaningful look, patiently repeating, "Please come with me, the Young Master wants to see you."

Adam was still angry with Vincent, gritting his teeth as he said, "If he wants to see me, let him come over himself. I have no time for him."

Saying this, he pulled May’s arm and turned to leave.

"Sorry, Young Master Owens!" A cold gleam flashed in Jacob’s eyes, and as soon as he finished speaking, he punched Adam in the head.

Jacob came from a special forces background, and with that punch, Adam immediately felt his vision blur as he fainted to the ground.

"Miss May, please also get in the car with me." After having his subordinates shove the unconscious Adam into the car, Jacob turned to ask May to get in.

May looked at Jacob in terror, knowing she had no chance to escape, so she obediently got in the car with him.

Soon, the car drove back to Zenith Villa.

When Adam was dragged and thrown onto the floor of Zenith Villa, he was still unconscious. May squatted down with some heartache, looking at him, unconscious.

"Adam, are you okay? Wake up, don’t scare me."

"He won’t die for the time being." a chilling voice from above erupted, scaring May to the point that she shivered.

"Aren’t you afraid that the Owens Family will cause you trouble if you treat Adam this way?"

May raised her head in hatred, glaring at Vincent on the sofa and questioning him.

Vincent let out a disdainful snort, looking at the disheveled May: ’Do you think I’d be afraid?’

Vincent’s power and influence left him unmatched in the entirety of Silverwood City; a mere Owens Family was nothing to him.

"What exactly do you want?" May clenched her fists, forcing herself to ask him.

She knew Vincent looked down on Adam but wouldn’t make a move against the Owens Family without a good reason.

"Two things: first, hand over the Jade Pendant," Vincent said with an icy tone.

The Jade Pendant, always the Jade Pendant!

"I—I don’t have the Jade Pendant..." May lowered her head, resisting stubbornly.

"Then Adam has it. Jacob, take Adam to the rooftop, and if he doesn’t have the Jade Pendant, throw him off the roof."
