Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife
Chapter 14: Drunk
CHAPTER 14: CHAPTER 14: DRUNK
The ointment was quickly brought over. Vincent Vance personally squeezed some onto his finger, just about to apply it to May Morgan’s neck, but she hurriedly shrank her neck and quickly dodged.
"I, I’ll do it myself!"
A hint of displeasure quickly flashed across Vincent Vance’s face. His large hand grabbed her like a little chick, pinning May Morgan in place.
As the cool ointment was applied to her neck, May’s cheeks flushed red, and her heart suddenly started beating wildly.
His fingers seemed to have a soul-stealing magic, causing May, who had just been desperately resisting, to suddenly lose her composure.
At that moment, the door to the living room was suddenly opened from the outside. May looked up and saw her father, Mason Morgan, walking in with her mother’s urn.
When he placed May’s mother’s urn gently in front of Vincent Vance, Mason Morgan handed over the household register and May’s identification card with his other hand.
"Young Master Vance, I brought you everything, take a look."
Vincent Vance glanced down at the three items and gave a slight nod, gesturing for Mason Morgan to leave.
Mason Morgan gave May a meaningful look, but dared not say much, turning to leave with the servant.
Picking up the household register from the table, Vincent Vance casually flipped through a few pages before tossing it back onto the coffee table.
"Where is the Jade Pendant?" he turned to ask May.
May paused for a moment, then reluctantly walked to the coffee table, picked up her mother’s urn, opened the lid, and reached inside. Instantly, a pristine and warm Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant appeared in her hand.
"Here." May handed the Jade Pendant to Vincent Vance, indicating for him to inspect it.
Vincent Vance glanced at the pendant in May’s hand. It was nearly identical to the one Melanie Morgan and her father had submitted, with no apparent differences. "How can you prove this one is real?"
May looked up at him, then turned to view the surroundings of the living room. Seeing a wine cabinet in the corner, she set down the urn and walked over to the wine cabinet, casually taking out a bottle of wine.
"Can you help me open this?"
May shook the bottle of wine in her hand and said to Vincent Vance.
Vincent was taken aback, then signaled to the servant nearby. The servant immediately took the wine from May, moved to the side to open it, and then poured a full glass for her.
Vincent assumed May intended to place the Jade Pendant in the wine to verify it, but to his surprise, she raised the large glass of wine and downed it in one go.
With the large amount of wine consumed, May immediately felt the world spinning, her body obviously unsteady.
She shook her head, trying her hardest to calm down, then took the Jade Pendant and wore it around her neck.
Initially, there was no significant change after putting on the pendant, but as the wine began to catalyze within her body, May’s body gradually heated up, and the Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant suddenly started to emit a dazzling light. This light grew brighter and eventually illuminated the entire large living room.
Staring at the mysterious pendant on May’s chest, Vincent Vance slightly squinted his eyes. Was there really such a magical item in this world? No wonder the old master would spare no expense to obtain it?
Just as everyone marveled at the pendant’s magic, May suddenly swayed and fell to the ground.
