CHAPTER 15: CHAPTER 15: THEN LET’S MAKE IT OFFICIAL
May Morgan never could hold her liquor well, and moments ago, by a stroke of luck, she grabbed a bottle of high-proof wine. After downing a large glass, it was no surprise she’d be drunk.
Seeing May Morgan suddenly collapse on the floor, Vincent Vance’s face showed a flash of shock, and he quickly stood up from the couch.
He bent down and picked up the fallen May Morgan, carrying her horizontally in his arms, and then strode up the stairs.
After placing May Morgan onto the soft large bed, Vincent Vance glanced down at the Jade Pendant on her chest, which was still shimmering and flashing with an enticing brilliance.
If the old man had taken a liking to this thing, it certainly had more to it than met the eye, probably harboring secrets that he was yet unaware of.
He yanked the Jade Pendant off May Morgan’s neck and held it in his hand. With the sudden change in temperature, the pendant in his palm instantly returned to normal, the glow completely fading away.
Though the pendant’s glow had disappeared, its hue had transformed from the original creamy white to a transparent pure color.
Vincent Vance focused intently on the peculiar Jade Pendant in his hand and examined it closely under the sunlight, only to find that there seemed to be a dark red object slowly swimming inside it.
What is this?
Vincent Vance brought the pendant closer to have a better look, and upon seeing what was inside, he couldn’t help but secretly gasp in shock.
Could this thing actually be—a dragon?
"No, don’t!"
Just as Vincent Vance was meticulously staring at the pendant, May Morgan suddenly screamed and began to struggle.
Vincent Vance turned to look at her, seeing her drenched in sweat and continuously resisting with her hands. He tenderly grabbed her swinging arms: "I’m here, don’t be afraid."
"Adam Owens, there’s nothing between Vincent Vance and me, please don’t do this to me." May Morgan’s mind, clouded by the alcohol, repeatedly pondered how to explain her relationship with Vincent to Adam Owens.
Vincent Vance’s face darkened, his grip on May Morgan’s hand involuntarily tightening because of her words.
No connection? Fine, then let’s make one.
With one swift motion, he resolutely went to tear at May Morgan’s top.
Instantly, her white, enticing skin was exposed to Vincent Vance’s gaze, and even someone as composed as he couldn’t help but feel his throat clench.
His eyes gradually deepened as his long fingers slowly traveled down, skimming over her delicate collarbone, and clasped around her slender waist.
"You, don’t touch me, don’t!" May Morgan, thinking it was Adam Owens touching her, reached out in panic to push away the person in front of her.
His fingers paused momentarily, and Vincent Vance hesitated as he looked at the woman beneath him. Despite her tempting appearance, her wary demeanor made him reluctant to violate her.
Besides, she was probably a first-timer, right?
If he just went ahead, would she come to hate him?
"Ugh—!"
While Vincent Vance was plagued by indecision, May Morgan suddenly grabbed his arm, buried her head in his chest, and vomited profusely.
Vincent Vance’s expression darkened. All thought of touching her evaporated as he decisively pushed the filthy woman away, casting a disdainful glance at the mess on himself.
This woman really is—!
Glancing at the woman on the bed who was thoroughly nauseous, Vincent Vance pressed the button by the bed to summon the servants for cleanup and then turned to head to the bathroom.
After taking a shower, Vincent Vance looked at the woman on the bed, now sleeping soundly, and then turned and left the room.
Jacob Jennings stood by the door all the while, waiting for further instructions.
"Has Adam Owens been taken home?" Vincent Vance glanced at Jacob Jennings and asked.
