Chapter 16: You Actually Took Advantage of Me
CHAPTER 16: CHAPTER 16: YOU ACTUALLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME
"Yes, it’s already been returned. However, the Owens Family isn’t too happy about it. They’ve already gone to the old man to complain," Jacob Jennings said cautiously, watching Vincent Vance’s expression.
Vincent Vance snorted indifferently and casually said, "It doesn’t matter, we didn’t do anything to Adam Owens."
"That’s true, but now the matter of the Jade Pendant, the old man will know it’s fake. At that time, Miss May Morgan will definitely be called in for questioning." Jacob Jennings glanced at Vincent Vance, hesitated slightly, and then whispered to him, "My people just discovered a bit about Miss May Morgan’s background, as well as the origins of this Jade Pendant."
"Oh? What do you mean?" Vincent Vance asked curiously upon hearing this.
"The Jade Pendant hides a shocking secret, and the old man’s full effort in searching for this Jade Pendant is not done with pure intentions. It might even be possible that at the moment the Jade Pendant surfaces, Miss May Morgan’s life could be threatened!"
This serious?
Vincent Vance glanced at the woman who had been tidied up and was quietly sleeping on the bed, frowned, and fell into deep thought.
Upon waking up, May Morgan only felt like her head was going to explode. She couldn’t handle her liquor; she had just casually taken that glass of red wine, unaware of its high alcohol content. Just one glass, and she passed out.
Oh dear, wait, where is she sleeping? And, where are her clothes?
Looking down at the sensual nightgown she was wearing, May Morgan felt confused and at a loss.
Vincent Vance didn’t take advantage of her while she was asleep, did he?
She quickly pulled back the blanket beneath her and carefully examined the spotless sheets. Only upon confirming there were no obvious bloodstains did she exhale a long breath and quickly pat her chest in relief.
As long as nothing happened, that scared her.
"What are you looking for? Blood? I just had someone change the sheets."
Suddenly, Vincent Vance’s mocking cold voice came from the Imperial Concubine chair not far away in the room.
May Morgan abruptly looked up, just in time to meet Vincent Vance’s unfathomable eyes. She stared blankly for a moment, then became terrified and frantically used the blanket to cover herself.
"Why, why are you here?" May Morgan glared at Vincent Vance, speechless.
"This is my bedroom. Why can’t I be here?" Vincent Vance’s tone was calm, as he looked at the woman on the bed wrapped like a dumpling, seemingly viewing her as a movable piece of meat.
"What did you do to me?" Although his gaze seemed proper, the nightgown on May Morgan couldn’t be explained away. If he hadn’t done something to her, why change her clothes?
This bastard is just a hypocrite, who outwardly appears proper but is actually a shameless scoundrel inside.
"You’re still a virgin? That’s rare." Vincent Vance curled his lips at May Morgan’s indignant expression, revealing a maddening smile.
Seeing the smile at the corner of his lips, May Morgan’s head exploded. He, he really did that to her while she was asleep?
She wouldn’t even give it to Adam Owens, yet this bastard took it away opportunistically!
"You bastard, vile scoundrel!" May Morgan, on the verge of collapse, blushed, grabbed a pillow, and threw it at Vincent Vance.
Vincent Vance smoothly caught the pillow, looking at the inexperienced May Morgan, he smiled and said, "If anything happened, wouldn’t you feel it yourself?"
