CHAPTER 23: CHAPTER 23: DISOBEDIENT? THE BELT WILL TEACH YOU

"We’re just in a sham marriage, there’s no need to go overboard. I don’t want those things, you don’t need to bother preparing them." May Morgan bit her lip, trying her best to say firmly.

Her ungrateful words made Vincent Vance completely lose his patience. This woman was as stubborn as reinforced concrete. How was marrying her such an injustice?

"Who told you we’re just in a sham marriage, hmm?" Vincent Vance stood up from his chair, frowning, while reaching out to undo the tie at his chest, making a move toward her to fulfill some marital duties.

"What... what are you doing? You pervert, stay away!" Seeing him already untying his tie, then starting to unbutton his shirt to pounce on her, May Morgan suddenly turned pale, repeatedly stopping him.

A big pervert, what happened to just putting on a show, was he serious?

"What, do you like it kinkier? That’s doable too, let’s try it now."

Deliberately twisting her words, Vincent Vance gave a wicked smile, grabbed her arm, and pushed her onto his oversized desk that could double as a bed.

"What are you doing? Let me down." Forced onto the table, May Morgan of course knew what this bastard wanted to do, scared she struggled with all her might to break free.

"Looks like you really like it a bit kinkier, alright, I’ll satisfy you."

Vincent Vance held her two struggling wrists with one hand, grabbed the tie from the desk with the other, quickly wrapping it around her wrists to secure her firmly.

"Bastard, what are you doing? Let go of me."

When he tied her wrists, May Morgan was genuinely frightened by his actions, making her struggle even harder.

After tying her up, Vincent Vance lifted her arms and pushed her aside, quickly pressing the intercom on the desk.

"Jacob Jennings, come to my study."

May Morgan froze, then broke down even more, yelling at him: ’Vincent Vance, are you sick?’

That, that kind of thing, he, he actually wanted someone to watch?

Vincent Vance turned a deaf ear and flipped her over, forcing her to bend over the desk. Jacob Jennings arrived quickly, and as the door opened, he was shocked to see May Morgan bent over the desk, immediately turning his head away.

"Young... Young Master, did I get the wrong call?"

"No, come in." Vincent Vance actually smiled calmly, signaling Jacob Jennings to enter.

Jacob Jennings, in his awkwardness, didn’t know where to look. Eventually, he shuffled in and kept his head low, afraid to see what he shouldn’t.

"Vincent Vance, you big pervert, let me go." May Morgan was pinned on the desk by Vincent Vance, unable to break free, only able to shout and scream.

Vincent Vance ignored her, turned to Jacob Jennings, and spoke in a devilish tone: "Your little madam likes to play a bit different, help me out."

"Help... help out?" Jacob Jennings looked at Vincent Vance speechlessly, at a loss.

This May Morgan was Vincent Vance’s wife, he, he shouldn’t have come in at all.

"Tell someone to clean up the basement, the little madam might need to stay there for a while."

Knowing that May Morgan was inherently afraid of the dark, Vincent Vance deliberately instructed Jacob Jennings.

Jacob Jennings, hearing that they were going to lock May Morgan in the dark room, couldn’t help but say with sympathy: ’Young Master, the basement light seems to be broken and hasn’t been fixed.’

"Hmm, that’s fine, tell the servants not to fix it, the little madam isn’t afraid of the dark."

"Vincent Vance, you bastard, I’m not going to the basement."

Hearing Vincent Vance wanted to throw her into the basement, a basement without light, May Morgan’s innate pride instantly diminished significantly, and her words were no longer as firm.

Every time she was in darkness, horrifying things would come and torment her, making her life worse than death. Rather than being thrown into the basement by Vincent Vance, she’d choose to yield.

"You think you won’t go just because you say so?" Seeing her defiance wane, Vincent Vance smiled playfully.

’I... I was wrong, I won’t call you names anymore, isn’t that enough?’

"No, I quite admire your spunk for daring to slam my desk and call me a pervert, keep going."

Vincent Vance sneered, grabbed May Morgan from the desk and threw her towards Jacob Jennings, who dared not catch her fully, just lightly supported her arm.

After stabilizing May Morgan, Jacob Jennings couldn’t help but softly advise her: ’Miss Morgan, how could you slam the desk in front of Young Master Vance? Isn’t that suicide?’

As far as he knew, only two people had dared to do so, one was dead, and the other had ruined hands. Given Vincent Vance’s violent temper, May Morgan slamming the desk and yelling insults was already lenient compared to being locked in the dark room.

"I, I apologized, what more does he want?" May Morgan was aggrieved too—just for slamming the desk, it’s not like she did anything serious. But he decided to suspend her studies without a word, wasn’t that worse?

"I don’t accept your apology." Vincent Vance turned and looked at a still-defiant May Morgan, coldly: "You have two choices, either obediently stay in the basement for a week, or accept my second punishment."

A week in the basement? Isn’t that asking for her life? Never mind the lack of light, even if it had light, it’d be terrifying enough.

Recalling the horror of being strangled by that thing, May Morgan swallowed hard.

"I... I accept the second punishment." Left with no choice, May Morgan begrudgingly chose the second option.

"Alright, you said it." Vincent Vance waved his hand, signaling Jacob Jennings to close the door and leave.

Once he left, Vincent Vance glanced at a corner of the desk, signaling May Morgan to move over there.

"Get into position!" He eyed the empty space on the desk, indicating to May Morgan.

May Morgan panicked, quickly stepping back a few steps. So this "second punishment" didn’t mean he intended to do something to her?

Per... pervert!

"Are you coming or not?" Vincent Vance’s face darkened, asking in a very unpleasant tone.

May Morgan gazed reluctantly at the ominous-looking desk, retreating further: ’You, you aren’t planning to do that to me, are you?’

"Wishful thinking!"

"..."

May Morgan glared at him speechlessly, not knowing what to say. Well, since he wasn’t planning on doing that, it was much more manageable.

After hesitating a few seconds, she ultimately gave in and obediently went to his side, assuming the humiliating position in front of him.

However, as soon as she got into position, she suddenly heard the sound of him unbuckling his belt behind her.

"What are you doing? Didn’t you say you wouldn’t touch me?" May Morgan’s face fell abruptly, scrambling to get up and escape.

"Pop!"

The belt hitting the mahogany desk made a loud sound, scaring May Morgan so much that she quickly crouched back down after attempting to stand.
