Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife
Chapter 384: Unleashing the Power of the Dragon Insect
CHAPTER 384: CHAPTER 384: UNLEASHING THE POWER OF THE DRAGON INSECT
Vincent Vance? Looking for Vincent?
In a moment of urgency, May Morgan hastily grabbed Victor Grant’s phone, quickly dialing Vincent Vance.
"Vincent, please save Victor Grant. He’s dying. Can you have someone drive over here to take him to the hospital?"
Once the call connected, May Morgan tearfully pleaded with Vincent Vance to come for help. Vincent paused for a moment before calmly asking, "Where are you now?"
May quickly gave Vincent the address. Vincent said nothing else and quickly called Jacob Jennings, instructing him to drive and take Victor Grant to the hospital for treatment.
Jacob Jennings heard about Victor Grant’s injury and somewhat reluctantly declined, "Young Master Vance, wouldn’t it be more advantageous for us if Victor Grant dies?"
Vincent Vance looked helplessly at Jacob and said, "The call was from May Morgan. If I don’t go, I will completely lose my credibility with her. Moreover, Victor was injured by Logan Vance while trying to save her. Regardless, we owe him a debt for that. So, we must help."
Jacob moved his lips, about to speak, but at that moment Mr. Landry pulled his arm, giving him a secretive look before making the decision on Jacob’s behalf, "Young Master Vance, rest assured, we’re on our way to help."
Jacob looked at Mr. Landry suspiciously until they went downstairs, and, seizing a moment while Vincent wasn’t around, he quietly asked, "Mr. Landry, why did you stop me from speaking?"
Mr. Landry glanced at him and said with a faint smile, "Haven’t you always wanted Miss Morgan’s blood? This is an opportunity!"
"Oh? What do you mean by that?" Mr. Landry’s words immediately piqued Jacob’s interest, prompting him to ask further.
Mr. Landry urgently dragged him outside, saying, "I’ll explain more on the way. It’s crucial to save him first; if Victor Grant were to die, our plan would go up in smoke."
Since Zenith Villa was not too far from May Morgan’s location, Jacob arrived slightly ahead of the ambulance. When they got to the chaotic villa living room, Mr. Landry was immediately stunned.
"Has something major happened here?" Looking at the dead bodies on the ground and the vines everywhere, Mr. Landry quickly asked May Morgan.
May nodded while helping Jacob carry the unconscious Victor to the car and explained, "We fought Logan Vance earlier. He uses the Poisonous Insect Technique to control the vines to kill people. Victor Grant was injured by him."
Mr. Landry looked down at the terrifying vines at his feet and then at May’s face, saying nothing.
Victor Grant was quickly sent to a nearby hospital. Due to excessive blood loss, he spent several hours in the emergency room before being wheeled out.
Seeing Victor being wheeled out, May rushed over to check on him, only to find him still unconscious on the hospital bed. She worriedly asked the doctor, "Doctor, why isn’t he awake?"
The doctor was also at a loss. Victor’s physical signs had mostly returned to normal, yet he remained unconscious, possibly due to excessive blood loss?
"It could be due to excessive blood loss. Perhaps he’ll wake up in a while!" The doctor didn’t dare make any promises and could only give May vague assurances.
After Victor was moved to a room, May kept hesitating whether to call Heather Holt and Julian Grant. He’s their only precious son, and now he’s unconscious for saving her. If she faced them, she really had no idea how to properly apologize.
Jacob looked at Victor still unconscious on the bed and then at the silent May, quickly sharing a glance with Mr. Landry, signaling him to begin.
Mr. Landry cleared his throat and approached May, asking, "Miss Morgan, have you considered that perhaps Mr. Grant’s unconsciousness is similar to Young Master Vance’s previous condition?"
May looked at Mr. Landry in surprise, feeling a sinking feeling in her heart, "Then, what should we do?"
Previously, Vincent Vance’s soul was drawn away by an evil spirit and locked in a Jade Pendant, resulting in his unconscious state. If Victor Grant’s case was the same as Vincent’s, where would his soul be?
Mr. Landry stroked his beard, looked at Victor’s face, and said, "Actually, when examining your fate, I already knew everything about you. Your blood contains the spiritual power of Dragon Insect, capable of expelling all evil spirits."
"Really? Then, can I slice my wrist for him now?" May, hearing this, immediately excitedly grabbed Mr. Landry’s hand and asked.
Seeing her response, Mr. Landry quickly motioned for her to calm down, "Miss Morgan, it’s not as simple as you think."
He glanced meaningfully at Victor lying on the bed and explained to May, "The last time I helped Young Master Vance wake up, I used the Jade Pendant in your hand to awaken the Dragon Insect within you, which allowed your blood to drive out the insect. This time, Mr. Grant is likely injured by similar poison. If you’re willing, I can assist you again."
Back then, while helping Vincent Vance, May had fainted and didn’t know how it was done, but Mr. Landry seemed kind and gentle, not like a bad person. Besides, Jacob was there with her, making May feel she should trust him.
May looked down at Victor, sighed, and said softly, "Victor got into this state trying to save me. I can’t let him down. Mr. Landry, please help!"
Mr. Landry, seeing May agree, quickly signaled Jacob, who then quietly exited the room, standing guard outside to prevent anyone from interrupting.
"Miss Morgan, please hand over the Jade Pendant to me first!" Mr. Landry motioned to May.
Upon hearing this, May promptly retrieved the Jade Pendant from her pocket and handed it to him. Mr. Landry took it, playing with it carefully before instructing May, "Extend your right hand."
Like before, May did not hesitate and extended her right hand, resting it in Mr. Landry’s palm.
As soon as her hand touched his palm, she suddenly felt dizzy, as if she was falling into endless darkness.
Given her previous experience, May didn’t have much defense this time. She thought Mr. Landry would grab her hand and guide her, but found herself drifting in darkness for quite a while without finding anything to steady herself.
"Mr. Landry, help me!" In a panic, May could only call out for the elder’s help.
However, her right hand didn’t feel any grip. Even more concerning, as May tried to save herself and muster strength to stabilize her body, she suddenly discovered that her strength seemed completely drained away, utterly useless.
