CHAPTER 39: CHAPTER 39: I LIKE DISOBEDIENT WOMEN

"Angry?"

Spencer walked in, smiling, and pulled the little woman who hadn’t changed into the wedding dress yet, lowering his head to peck at her face.

May angrily pushed him away, signaling him to get out: "This is the women’s dressing room, what are you doing here? Out, out."

"I said you have no figure, isn’t it true? Just look for yourself."

May’s face turned green immediately; if she weren’t unable to beat him, she’d really want to kick this bastard far away: "Yeah, my figure is bad, so don’t marry me!"

"No problem, that’s exactly what I like about you."

"This is a bridal shop, don’t mess around, you don’t care about your reputation, but I still do." May didn’t want anything to happen with him in such a public place.

"No problem, I’ve already cleared the place; without my command, they won’t come in." The man leaned in closer.

May’s face turned pale: "Spencer, are you a pervert?"

"How about tonight?" Vincent raised his brow, deliberately teasing her.

At this point, May just wanted to escape from this predicament, so she nodded like a little chick pecking at rice and said: "Okay, okay, just let me go first."

"That’s more like it!" Vincent reached out to pinch May’s little face before retreating to a safe distance.

May hurriedly grabbed the clothes beside her, quickly put them on, and then, while Vincent wasn’t paying attention, pushed him aside and ran straight for the dressing room door, as if fearing he would turn into a wolf and pounce once again.

The corridor was indeed very quiet, not a soul in sight. After leaving Vincent behind in the dressing room, May ran to a corner where she suddenly felt a hand cover her mouth and drag her into the corner.

"Mmm mmm mmm!"

Aware of the danger, May hurriedly struggled with both hands and feet; the grip wasn’t strong, and she managed to break free from the person’s hold.

"Mel, Melanie?" When she saw the woman standing behind her, she was momentarily stunned.

Melanie, seeing things exposed, quickly pulled out a small bottle and sprayed several bursts into May’s face.

A strange scent quickly invaded May’s nose and mouth, and she felt her vision go black, unable to struggle again before fainting.

Seeing May faint, Melanie hurriedly squatted down and searched her body, finally finding that Jade Pendant in her pocket.

After obtaining the Jade Pendant, she turned to leave but suddenly remembered the humiliation of that night and the torment Vincent inflicted on her, turning back to glare at the unconscious May on the ground.

With May unconscious on the ground, a sinister smile suddenly appeared at the corner of Melanie’s mouth.

When May awoke again, she was no longer at LX Bridal but was tied up and thrown on a bed.

The surroundings looked like a hotel suite; she tried to move but found her limbs tightly bound and her mouth stuffed with cloth, unable to shout, leaving her to accept her fate and wait for the kidnappers to appear.

About half an hour later, the previously silent room suddenly had the sound of a door opening, followed by a man’s familiar voice coming from the living room.

"Is the girl awake yet?"

"Don’t know, boss. Want to go in and check?"

May recognized the man speaking: It was Victor Grant. She’d seen him just last night, and his distinctive voice made it easy for her to identify him.

Why would he kidnap her? Was it to retaliate against Vincent?

As she hesitated, Victor abruptly pushed open the bedroom door. Seeing May awake and staring coldly at him from the bed, he smiled and said to the person beside him:

"How can you treat a woman like this? Come on, untie her quickly."

The smile on his face carried a hint of unpredictable menace, and recalling his ruthlessness towards Melanie last night, May instinctively shrank back.

The subordinate quickly came over upon hearing the order to untie May’s hands and feet and pull the cloth from her mouth.

May moved her somewhat numb joints, trying to speak humbly to Victor Grant: "Mr. Grant, your feud with Vincent is a personal grudge; I’m innocent."

"I’m not here for that matter," Victor chuckled and suddenly plopped down next to May.

His eyes, already inherently wicked, lingered intentionally on May’s face and body, scaring her into shrinking back further.

Victor pulled the Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant from his pocket, examined it: "Is this the Jade Pendant that Arthur Vance is desperate to get?"

The Jade Pendant looked exceptionally ordinary on the surface; Victor scrutinized it for a while without gleaning any insight, May staying silent, eyes fixed solely on him and the pendant, waiting for him to speak again.

As expected, Victor observed the Jade Pendant for a moment, finding nothing interesting, then turned to May and asked again: "What secret does this pendant hold?"

May feigned confusion, answering with a question: "Secret? What kind of secret do you think it should have?"

Victor impatiently glared at May, threatening her sharply: "Your sister told me this pendant hides an earth-shattering secret; speak honestly, what is it?"

Upon hearing this, May laughed speechlessly, again questioning Victor: "My sister must be confused after your debauchery last night, right? How could this thing have any secret? Treasure? Have you gone mad for money?"

Victor glared at her displeased and shouted: "I have plenty of money; I’m asking now what’s so special about this pendant?"

Secret bit her lip, deliberately sparring with Victor: "How should I know what Arthur Vance wants with this Jade Pendant? Since you’re so interested, why not just ask her directly?"

This stubborn girl...

Victor had never seen a woman dare challenge him like this; damn it, I’ll show you I’m not some pushover.

"Seems you’re not being truthful; since that’s the case, let me show you my power."

Victor finished speaking, then leered wickedly as he pounced onto the bed, moving to violate her.

Startled, May quickly shrank back on the bed, glaring at him warily: "Don’t mess around; I’m Vincent’s wife."

"So what? I’m just interested to see what’s different about his wife."

"Don’t do this, this pendant really has no secrets; if you don’t believe me, we can confront Melanie." May knew she couldn’t escape, resigned to taking drastic measures as she shouted.

"Looks like you really are Stubborn; don’t regret it later!" Victor grabbed May’s ankle, pulling her towards him!
