Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife
Chapter 400: Underhanded Methods
CHAPTER 400: CHAPTER 400: UNDERHANDED METHODS
A dreadful feeling instantly crept up her heart, and May Morgan felt that she might have been deceived by Maxwell Vance, that scoundrel!
Last night, she was too anxious, so she forgot to think about it. How could Vincent Vance’s phone be easily handed to Maxwell? Even if Vincent was really in a car accident last night, the first person to call her should have been Jacob Jennings, who was by his side constantly, not Maxwell Vance, who was stuck in the hospital and couldn’t possibly leave.
Maxwell must have used some extraordinary means to obtain Vincent’s phone, and her goal of luring her out was undoubtedly for revenge.
She never expected that Maxwell would actually team up with Logan Vance.
Just as she was thinking, the big warehouse door was suddenly pushed open, and with the intrusion of strong light, Logan Vance’s detestable face appeared right in front of May Morgan.
Seeing Logan arrive, May unwillingly attempted to move her body to stand up, but she had no strength left in her body; her hands and legs were bound with ropes, making it impossible to break free.
"May, we meet again!" Logan glanced at the miserable May on the ground, his smile wickedly terrifying.
May looked up at him, noticing that the wound on his arm had vanished, and sarcastically said, "Your dark arts are quite refined now, but remember, evil will inevitably meet its demise. I advise you to be more kind."
"Kind? Can kindness put food on the table?" Logan sneered, bending down to grip May’s chin, forcing her to look up at him. "I would’ve loved to be kind, but kindness is exploited. My father is still in a coma because of Arthur Vance, that bastard. He says he feels guilty, yet he just handed the Vance Clan over to Vincent to manage, casting me off to some foreign country. What does kindness mean? Being tossed aside like garbage because of it?"
May looked up at Logan’s grimacing face, speechless, and asked him, "What good does it do to blame your misfortune on others? You couldn’t rival Vincent because you were idle and incompetent, and now you resort to these crooked ways; you deserve what’s happening to you!"
"Deserve? My father was clearly used by Arthur Vance, that bastard, to block the bullet back then, leading to my mother falling ill and dying shortly afterward. Now I’m like an orphan with nothing, without getting anything. Why should Vincent have it all? Why not me?"
May didn’t want to discuss their family grievances with Logan; it would only fuel his hatred and make him lose reason. So, she calmly said, "Your feud with Vincent has nothing to do with me. I’ve already cut ties with him and am about to marry Victor Grant. I suggest you don’t be too harsh on me, otherwise Victor won’t let you off."
"You think I’m afraid of him?" Logan released May, coldly stood up from the ground, and signaled his subordinates to bring over a phone, aiming it at the tied-up May to record video.
May looked at him in astonishment as he took the photos, raising her voice, "Logan, what are you trying to do?"
"You don’t want to die, do you? If that’s the case, I’ll let someone come and save you. Since both men love you so much, I want to see who will be the first to rush here to rescue you?"
Logan chuckled darkly, turned, and sent the recorded video out, "I’ll send a copy to Vincent first, then later to Victor Grant. These two know you’ve gone missing and are searching the world for you. But I’m quite merciful, knowing you only have Vincent in your heart, so I’ll fulfill that for both of you!"
"You bastard, you’re so despicable!" At this moment, May finally understood why Logan did this. Victor is extremely concerned about her and Vincent’s matter; if he saw her with Vincent now, especially before their wedding, he’d likely not spare Vincent.
"Despicable, huh? Vincent’s sister is even more so. Don’t blame me; Maxwell came up with this plan, and it was her who got people to kidnap you. She just couldn’t come forward and asked me to handle it."
May didn’t expect Logan to openly bring up Maxwell, surprised she asked, "You, why are you telling me this?"
Logan gave May a complex look, answering coldly, "Because I don’t want you dead yet, so it’s best you seek revenge on Maxwell."
Doesn’t want her dead? Then why do such a thing?
May felt uncertain and started looking for a chance to escape uneasily. She tried moving her wrists tied with ropes, attempting to break free, but had no strength, making it impossible to flee.
Logan noticed her trying to break free and deliberately reminded her, "Don’t waste your effort. I’ve prepared well for this encounter; you’ve been drugged, and within forty-eight hours, you’ll have no strength to even stand."
Worried about Vincent’s safety, May lowered her voice to negotiate with him, "Logan, you just want my blood, don’t you? I’ll give it to you; just don’t bother Vincent."
"You didn’t say, I almost forgot!"
Logan suddenly smiled as he heard this, squatting down to look at May’s face, "Last time you mocked me for not being a real man, so how about I show you this time whether I am or not?"
As he spoke, he maliciously reached out, ripping open the wedding dress on May’s chest, making her turn pale with fright, "What, what are you doing?"
Logan, a bit greedily, looked at the vast expanse of white on her chest, his voice growing hoarse, "I didn’t notice before, but looking closely now, you really are beautiful. No wonder Victor and Vincent are utterly obsessed with you."
May saw Logan’s greedy gaze and hurriedly shrank back in fear, "Logan, don’t touch me; otherwise, I won’t spare you."
Seeing her face full of fear, withdrawing backward, Logan’s smile grew more wicked, pulling her arm back forcefully, "Not spare me? You better face this first."
"You bastard, don’t touch me; Vincent won’t spare you!" As his large hand reached toward her, May shouted curses, scared.
"Hahaha, you’re so scared, that’s all the courage you have?" Seeing May successfully terrified by him, Logan laughed heartily, disdainfully tossing her onto the ground, full of contempt.
"You’re so filthy, I’d never touch you!" Logan snorted coldly, quickly turning his face away, avoiding looking at May even once.
