CHAPTER 432: CHAPTER 432: NO ONE CAN ESCAPE

Outside the villa, the thick vines were dancing wildly, and in an instant, they enveloped the entire vast villa tightly.

The vines seemed to have a target as they quickly pierced through the window glass, attacking Vincent Vance and Maxwell Vance inside.

Maxwell was terrified, quickly grabbing his brother’s arm and crying: "Brother, what the hell are these? It’s so scary!"

Seeing a vine charging at him, Vincent calmly pushed Maxwell behind him and then took out the amulet made of Fragrant Bone Wood from his pocket, holding it in his palm.

The vines became so terrifying because they were agitated by poison, so once the Fragrant Bone Wood was revealed, the vines seemed to meet their nemesis, retreating in fear, but the bloodthirsty nature still made them restless, staying in the air, unwilling to leave.

With the vines refusing to retreat, Vincent couldn’t leave with the severely injured Maxwell and could only wait in the house for Director Lawson and his team to arrive.

But the vines were so dreadful, Vincent feared that the people and weapons Director Lawson brought would be far from enough to inflict any damage on them.

Maxwell’s lower abdomen began to bleed profusely because he was previously tortured crazily by Victor Grant’s subordinates, and upon smelling the scent of blood, the vines became even more frenzied, charging crazily at Maxwell.

Vincent only had a small piece of Fragrant Bone Wood, hardly enough to resist the numerous vines, especially since these vines were so bloodthirsty. Carelessly, Maxwell’s ankle got entangled by a vine and was dragged to the ground.

"Brother, save me, save me!"

Seeing himself about to be dragged into a corner and turning into a dried corpse like those outside, Maxwell cried desperately, calling for Vincent’s help in panic.

Vincent was also anxious upon seeing Maxwell being attacked. He hurriedly wanted to rush over to save her, but just then, a strange chant suddenly sounded from outside, like some kind of command signal for these vines. Originally attacking people wildly out of instinct, the vines suddenly appeared to receive some kind of call, becoming intelligent and orderly.

Although the vines were still scared of the Fragrant Bone Wood in Vincent’s hand, they didn’t scatter away. Instead, they started forming an indestructible net around Vincent, deliberately separating him far from Maxwell.

Vincent tried to rush over to save Maxwell, but before he could move forward, the vines quickly started attacking his back, forcing him to turn around and use the Fragrant Bone Wood to drive them away. However, when he turned around, the other vines used the same trick, continuing to attack his back, never giving him a moment to breathe.

Not far away, Maxwell’s cries were nearly hoarse: "Brother, save me, I don’t want to die!"

The vines blocked Vincent’s view tightly; he couldn’t see Maxwell’s current situation clearly, but from his calculations, Maxwell must have endured inhuman torture.

Maxwell was already showing signs of miscarrying; at this moment, if tortured and entangled by the vines, she might not survive.

Vincent was anxious, but these vines were extremely clingy, seeming to intentionally trap him. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t break free to save Maxwell.

"Maxwell, hang in there, I’m coming to save you soon."

Vincent couldn’t find Maxwell’s figure, so he could only shout to comfort her.

Maxwell had already been surrounded by the vines, hanging in mid-air. For some reason, these vines only restrained her but didn’t plan to suck her blood dry. Though, when they smelled the thick scent of blood on Maxwell, they each roared in madness like beasts in the air.

"Brother, I can’t hold on, I’m dying..."

Maxwell was losing too much blood, and along with such a big fright, she was exhausted and had a tendency to faint soon.

Hearing Maxwell’s voice getting weaker and weaker, Vincent, in a hurry, quickly pulled out a dagger from his pocket and stabbed his wrist, letting the blood gush out.

"Maxwell, hang on, I’m coming to save you soon."

Vincent raised his bleeding wrist high, letting the scent of blood spread. Those vines, smelling the fresh blood, immediately lost control, throwing Maxwell onto the ground, becoming even crazier and charging at Vincent.

After being thrown to the ground, Maxwell struggled to glance at the vines surrounding her brother. Although she didn’t know why these vines suddenly let her go, she understood that this was her only chance for escape.

She used all her strength to crawl up from the ground and took advantage of the vines not noticing her yet, hurriedly supporting herself against the wall to run outside.

Soon, she reached the villa’s entrance. Outside was also a mess, but most of the vines had entered the villa to attack Vincent, planning to share his blood, and only a few vines roamed outside, not paying much attention to Maxwell.

Maxwell took a deep breath, held her painfully throbbing abdomen, and quickly ran towards the door. She knew her brother risked his life to save her inside, but she couldn’t care that much now. She couldn’t save herself; she was no match for those vines, and going back would only add another corpse.

She finally reached the villa’s door, thinking she could finally escape, but as she was about to rush out, something tripped her foot, causing her to fly out quickly.

A man’s feet quickly appeared before her, and Maxwell painfully lifted her head. When she saw the face of the newcomer, she immediately turned ashen with fright.

"Logan... Logan Vance, is it you?"

Maxwell glanced at Logan, full of a cold smile, knowing the situation was lost, and helplessly smiled bitterly: "Are you here to kill me?"

Logan slowly squatted down, pinching Maxwell’s chin, forcing her to look up at him: "Maybe yes, maybe no, that depends on how you cooperate with me."

Hearing that there was still a sliver of survival, Maxwell’s eyes immediately lit up with radiant surprise: "I promise you, I promise you everything, whatever you want me to do, I promise."

Logan reached out, took out a cellphone, and handed it to Maxwell, indicating her: "Call May Morgan, tell her your brother is about to die."

Maxwell hesitated for a moment after glancing at Logan’s phone, noticing it was her brother Vincent’s. She didn’t know when he stole her brother’s phone, perhaps in the chaos, having those vines steal it?

But why was he calling May Morgan now?

"You want me to call May Morgan? She may not believe it..."

Because last time, Maxwell had already used this method to deceive May Morgan once, so this time, Maxwell felt that May Morgan surely wouldn’t fall for it.
