Chapter 82: Meeting With Talia
CHAPTER 82: CHAPTER 82: MEETING WITH TALIA
His silence pierced Ivy’s heart. Sometimes... the sensible kid looks the most pitiful. Silas’s sensible appearance made Ivy feel as if she were being inhuman.
’Stupid! He is just asking you to sleep beside him. Is that too much to ask?’ Ivy’s inner voice scolded her.
She pursed her lips, a decision formed in her mind, before she gathered her courage and tugged on Silas’s sleeves.
When she had his attention, she closed her eyes and spoke swiftly,
"Iwillsleepinyourroomfromnowonwards."
"What?" Silas asked, struggling to make sense of Ivy’s whirlwind of words.
Ivy’s face turned beet red, and she bit her lips, "I will sleep in your room from now onwards."
Boom. Silas felt something exploding in his mind. Ivy agreed? Just like that? He thought he needed to whine for a month or two before he could get a ’yes’, but now...
Silas’s heart pounded with joy. As much as he wanted to hear Ivy say it again, he feared she might take it back if he asked.
"Okay, then I will shift all your clothes and necessities to my room." Silas struck the iron when it was hot. One needs to be decisive to achieve results.
Ivy blinked, befuddled by Silas’s words. "But... didn’t you say... just to sleep beside you... So why are you shifting all my clothes into your room?"
Silas chuckled, "If you sleep in my room, you might have the urge to use the bathroom after waking up. Then you will require a change of clothes, for which you will have to go to your room. It will be too much hassle, so..."
"No." Ivy firmly denied. She knew her jinx could be triggered anytime, and if she stayed near Silas, he would be affected too.
Silas pressed his lips together, resisting the urge to say more. Ivy had already given him an inch; he just needed to be smart enough to ease his way into the mile.
With that thought, he agreed, "Alright. If you are uncomfortable, then I won’t push you. Just... don’t forget to drop by every night. I..."
He didn’t finish his words, but only swayed a little, and it was enough to make Ivy panic, and she promised,
"I will!" There was urgency in her voice; she supported Silas. Her cheeks flushed when she felt the warm breath spraying on her nape.
Just as Silas tried to straighten up, his hot lips ’accidentally’ grazed her sensitive nape, and Ivy couldn’t stop the moan rising from her mouth.
"Ahh." The sweet moan echoed in the quiet living room, making Ivy so embarrassed that her face turned crimson, while Silas felt his little brother getting hard.
’F*ck. How... sweet. I wish to hear her moans more.’ He thought, looking at Ivy’s back who was scurrying away in shame.
He wanted to stop her and tell her how melodious the sound was and how much he enjoyed it, but he knew she would become even more shy after his compliment.
On the other hand, Ivy was scolding herself, ’How can you moan like that in front of Silas! He must truly think you are wanton!’
After an awkward breakfast, the two left the apartment. Silas carried the conversation, filling the silence with easy chatter while Ivy remained mostly quiet.
Ivy tried her best to act normally; however, it was clear that she was failing miserably. Her cheeks were still red, and due to her pale skin, they stood out even more.
Silas didn’t show it, but he felt smug. Today her face was flushed red, tomorrow her body will be flushed red... ah... what a beautiful scene would it be.
Had Ivy known what Silas was thinking, she would’ve clenched her jaw and given him the cold shoulder.
Reaching the military ground, Silas led to a private training ground. The moment Ivy entered, her breath was caught in her throat.
The scene in front of her was too mesmerizing. A breathtaking blonde beauty with a sharp look in her green eyes was practicing her kicking and punching technique.
The sweat formed her face added a radiant glow on her face, and her lean, slight, muscular body moved with agility and speed.
"How beautiful..." Ivy couldn’t stop the words tumbling down her mouth, causing a certain beauty to pause and give her attention to the two newcomers.
Talia gave a polite nod to Silas, ignoring Ivy’s presence all along, before walking toward the bench and picking up her towel.
She wipes her sweat and regulated her breathing before drinking the water. Once she regained her detached and indifferent aura, she asked,
"What is it?" Though she looked toward Silas while asking the question, her sentence was directed at Ivy.
Ivy was used to Talia’s indifference toward her. Who would love a woman who only knows how to take advantage of their younger brother?
"If your fiancé requests you to meet, refuse him." Ivy’s words were laced with forced calm. She wanted Talia to believe her, and hence she could only maintain her composure even though the cold beauty’s icy demeanor made it a bit hard to breathe.
The atmosphere further plummeted, and Talia sneered,
"What? Are you going to spread your propaganda to me? Ignore the man who loves me while taking advantage of him?"
Ivy’s face turned a bit pale, while Silas’s expression darkened, and he looked at Talia with a grim expression,
"Talia, mind your language."
"Don’t bark like a dog," Talia harshly reprimanded him, "I have long ago told you to leave this girl. From childhood, she has been causing trouble..."
"Shut up!" Silas growled; he couldn’t bear to hear anything against Ivy.
Talia rolled her eyes and looked at Ivy, expecting her to cry, but Ivy remained silent; she stared at Talia as if she had long ago accepted her truth.
"What? Are you planning to cry about it later? Ivy, sometimes I despise you..."
"I am sorry," Ivy interrupted, her tone calm and unhurried. Her sudden apology caught Talia off guard, and before she could throw a sharp retort, Ivy continued,
"I know you despise me. And I don’t blame you."
