Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower
Chapter 87: Mayor Daniel
CHAPTER 87: CHAPTER 87: MAYOR DANIEL
By the end of the day, Ivy collected no more than 630 crystals. Within just one day, Ivy had collected half of her goal.
However, it wasn’t without consequences; every inch of her body ached, and she wanted nothing more than to rest.
Entering her Temporal Storage, she quickly took a bath and lay on the bench. Sleep consumed her, and the next time she opened her eyes, it was already the morning of the next day.
Feeling her body sore, Ivy took a bath before exiting storage. Once outside, Ivy continued. For inexplicable reasons, Ivy felt a strange kind of bloodlust. Her killing intent reached its peak.
As a result, by evening reached her goal. 1000 crystals...
The thought of taking rest crossed her mind, but then... her eyes turned blank and she started to walk.
Maybe heaven took pity on her because this time she stopped only after walking for 5 minutes.
Coming to her senses, Ivy stared at the timer with a complex expression before lowering her eyes, and sure enough, she saw some familiar blister pack on the ground.
Without hesitation, Ivy started to pick them, and by the time she had finished, every fiber of her being hurt!
Entering the temporal storage, Ivy took a quick shower before falling asleep again. On the third day, instead of returning to the military compound, Ivy continued to kill the zombies.
Purely because she wanted to keep the space crystals for herself. After accumulating nearly 700 crystals, she felt her consciousness turning blank again, and when she opened her eyes, she found the ground littered with blister packs.
With familiar movements, she picked up the packs without reading the names. By this time, she was sure that as long as she wanted, she could become a supplier of these medicines.
A single blister pack could be multiplied 25 times; she had collected nearly 1000 or so blister packs.
There were also packets which she had picked up earlier...
For the next 2 more days, the cycle continued, and Ivy realized a problem she never thought of. For some reason, she kept getting just medicine packets...
A premonition hit her like a tidal wave, maybe... the moment she picked the blister pack instead of food.. She had unknowingly made a choice.
After collecting enough, Ivy started to explore the area near Elro Hills. In her frenzied state, Ivy didn’t realize that she had long ago strayed off from Elro Hills and ended up in the neighboring area.
It was a vast green field before, but due to the arrival of the apocalypse, the green color was slowly dominated by the brownish hue.
Ivy remembered that the landlord of this place was Mayor Daniel. In her previous life, Daniel, who was looted, eventually returned to this land and built a small thatched house.
His wife and his eldest son had died on the way, leaving him with a young son, who relied on him for food.
At first, he was helpless; however, with little gold in his hand, he quickly bought a considerable sum of food, just enough to survive for a month.
To his luck, after a month, the military established a base, and he joined the military, selling the deeds of the land to the military for a permanent house in the military compound.
The military had agreed to give him an apartment purely because the land was vast, approximately 20 times the size of a football field.
Ivy had remembered it so clearly because this land was one of the few places that, due to its high altitude, remained unaffected by the various natural disasters.
The military wanted to utilize the place to build its own base; however, the military base fell apart due to unknown reasons, and somehow the Black Vulture occupied this place.
Ivy’s eyes gleamed. A plan formed in her mind. It just happens that she was planning to build her own base...
With that thought, she decided to meet Daniel before he could strike a deal with the military and acquire this place. Instead of letting it fall into the hands of Black Vultures, she might as well snatch it away.
Ivy whistled as she got on the scooter and soon arrived at the Skyline residential area and checked the apartment in which the Ravencroft family used to live.
Damian hadn’t returned yet, causing Ivy to frown and reach several different conclusions.
Maybe he ran away because he had come to know about Ivy’s terrifying ability, or maybe he had ventured to find the Ravencroft family in the faraway lands.
Anyhow, Ivy was annoyed. She had planned to deal with the Ravencroft family for once and for all, but one of the rats still escaped from the net.
’I was being too hasty...’ She should have waited for the night before dealing with all of them... now...
Ivy decided to ask for Silas’s help. Maybe with his investigation, she would be able to catch this Daiman quickly.
Though Ivy refused to admit it, if she went on a head-on confrontation with Damian, even with all the tricks, she might not have succeeded...
Reality was that even if Ivy had used up all of her trump cards, she might have failed to capture Damian because of the ring and various variables around him.
Ivy could only lock the door and leave. On the staircase, she met Edward who was fighting with a few of the zombies.
For a moment, Ivy admired Edward’s skills. His movements were swift and precise, while he had a strong control over his body, making it easier for him to kill the level 0 zombies.
Ivy watched with interest and realized that Edward’s skill was on par with Silas’ if not better. Her heart moved. This was talent... she must recruit him.
Her inner voice repeatedly tempted her, ’What if he ends up awakening a good superpower and displays as much potential as Silas? Won’t your future base be more powerful than others?’
The thought excited her to no bounds, and she suppressed the rising excitement and waited for Edward to finish his battle.
