CHAPTER 520: COMPLAINT

Xun Che had no objection to this arrangement and nodded. "I have no problem with it."

After they reached an agreement, Pei Yijun left the office while Xun Che sent the Elixir of Immortality to the laboratory for testing.

Meanwhile, Jin Xuyan, Jiao Lizhi, and Du Beiye had finished reporting the mission and were already back at their home.

Startled by how haggard he looked, Jin Xuyan walked over and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Not noticing his friend’s worries, Fu Guai typed on his phone and showed it to him.

The moment Jin Xuyan read the message, the corner of his lips twitched as he tried his best to control his expression.

Rubbing his forehead, he said, "You said that Yusheng’s sunflower took your mutant plant core and you want me to bring justice to you. Do you have any evidence?"

Fu Guai frowned when he heard this and shook his head. After a moment, he typed on his phone again.

"Even without evidence, I’m sure it was that sunflower who took my crystal core. Besides that plant, no one would take my crystal core."

Noticing his stubbornness, Jin Xuyan thought for a moment before he said, "Let me take a shower first, then we will go visit Yusheng."

Fu Guai nodded and closed the door with a soft thud. Standing not far from him, Jiao Lizhi chuckled as she said, "Brother Fu looks so wronged. That crystal core must be important to him."

Jin Xuyan let out a long sigh when he heard this and replied, "For him, even a level-one crystal core is important."

Recalling that Fu Guai had to rely on the crystal cores to survive, Jiao Lizhi understood his meaning.

Reaching out, Jiao Lizhi pressed the doorbell and waited. After a few minutes, she pressed the bell again. They waited for ten minutes, but no one opened the door.

As they exchanged glances, she said, "Maybe Brother Yin is not at home."

Just after she said this, Qin Luzi returned with a bag of groceries. When he saw them, he asked, "Captain, what brings you here?"

"I came to look for Yusheng."

Hearing this, Qin Luzi checked the map in his mind and said, "He is inside."

"Weird. If he is inside, why didn’t he open the door? We pressed the doorbell several times and waited for ten minutes, but there was no sound coming from inside," Jiao Lizhi said with a frown.

Noticing that something was wrong, Jin Xuyan broke open the door. The moment they saw the scene inside, they were stunned.

The walls and corners were covered with a layer of moss, while the plants in the pots had grown like crazy. It was as if someone had injected steroids into them, as the scallions were as thick as an adult’s arm.

After a moment, Qin Luzi said, "Yusheng is in the bedroom."

The group quickly went to the room and were shocked to find Yin Yusheng sleeping soundly while his entire body was wrapped by vines, leaves, and moss.

Jin Xuyan walked over and patted Yin Yusheng’s cheek to wake him up. "Yusheng, wake up."

After a few minutes, Yin Yusheng finally stirred and opened his eyes. When he met his Captain’s worried gaze, he asked hoarsely, "Captain, why are you here?"

Seeing that he was sober, Jin Xuyan used his energy to check on his condition while asking, "Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

Yin Yusheng had not yet recovered his senses and replied dazedly, "I’m fine."

When he raised his gaze, he was taken aback as he saw that the house was covered with plants and moss. It took him a while to regain his composure and he asked, "Captain, what’s going on here?"

"I should ask you about this matter instead. What’s going on here?" Jin Xuyan asked.

Jiao Lizhi observed the surroundings and asked, "Brother Yin, can you control the plants and the moss?"

Hearing this, Yin Yusheng just realized that he could feel the energy pulsating in the plants and moss. Focusing his mind, he tried to absorb the wood energy in the air.

The next moment, the moss and plants shrank at a speed visible to the naked eye. While the plants returned to normal, the moss turned into a small patch and entered his body.
